Other  European regulation or enlightened air gunners?

I have seen a lot of members post concerning the joys of the sub 12 fpe guns and almost universally the posters point to the UK or other European countries.
I will limit this to just the UK as their regs seem to be the most commonly discussed.
What would the UK shooters do if the restriction was lifted?
It is my belief that without the restrictions on power that UK shooters would be shooting guns very similar to what we use here in the US. I may be wrong and am wanting the opinions of UK or European shooters who are or were restricted by regulation to a sub 12 fpe air gun.
I would like anyone who lives in the UK or any European country that has similar restrictions to chime in what they think would happen if the restrictions were lifted.

If you have moved from somewhere with restrictions to low power to an area without the restriction or higher power restriction, what are you shooting now?

I am not wanting to start an argument, but rather have a conversation with people with actual experience shooting in a restricted area or country.
Nothing political either. Things are what they are where restrictions exist. I am just curious what things would look like minus the restriction.

Air Venturi  I want to share some very important information

For those who are using the Hugget snipe moderators in your Avenge-X .25 cal airguns if you’re planning to shot with the heavier JSB 33.95 grains pellets it’s a must to go one size up to avoid clipping. But this issue it’s only happening with this particular pellets, if you’re shooting with the lighters JSB 25, the AA diábolo fields 25, the JTS dead centers 25 or the FX atomics 26.6 grains only you won’t have this issue. I am also using this same moderators in the standard size .177/.22 in my others two smaller .22 cal Avengers one first gen and another X, and both are working flawlessly without clipping with any kind of pellets including the more heavier JSB jumbo monster redesigned 25.39 grains, this issue it’s only happening with the .25 cal. The accuracy between the .25 and .30 cal moderators are exactly the same, as shown in the targets.

Also make yourself a favor and put a few drops of red lock tied glue to the end cap of this moderators if you want to save some headaches, I discovered this the hard way….😤😡. This were yesterday’s results shooting 5 shots groups from top row to bottom with the heavier JSB 33.95, followed with the JSB 25 and the last (6) 5 shots groups all were done with the JTS dead center 25 grains pellets at 35 yards. The target showing 16 bullseyes were a few days back shooting from left to right at 35 and the last two at 50 yards, from top to bottom with the JSB 25, followed by the AA diábolo fields 25 and the last with the FX atomics 26.6 grains. As you can see our Avenge-X .25 cal airguns love all this different pellets. PS the JTS pellets are a very tight fit and because this the side level becomes very stiff and difficult to use.

Hey guys, not new to air guns but looking for info on a rifle I was just gifted. It's a Hy-Score model 828 in .177, made in Germany for Hy-Score Arms Corp. Brooklyn NY. I'm guessing it's from around 1980? Condition is excellent. Has a Beeman sight that I will most likely swap out for a scope. Any info at all would be appreciated; value, FPS, actual vintage, etc,. I found very little on Google.

Thanks

Fox killed my chickens las night

Now I have to be a little bit careful here as I’m in the UK and in an urban situation. Has anyone any tips to baiting a fox onto their land? I know where they are denning, but it is not on my property. I want them dead and staked on an anthill. Those chickens were pets and friends as well as laying like belt fed mortars. My autistic son is distraught. The horrible little vermin only ate their heads.

Brocock/BRK  BRK Brocock models

I see there’s quite a few members with BRK / Brocock rifles, just out of interest what model and caliber do you have ? Also what do you mainly use it for ? I’m in the uk so there’s a a couple of the rifles / pistols that we can’t get due to our laws.
I own a couple ( ghost, pathfinder, ranger and concept lite xr all in .177 sub 12ft/lb ) I mainly hunt with them but also love a bit of plinking / range time. I’ve owned plenty of other rifles in the past mainly Daystate’s and older brococks. Thanks for your replies 👍🏼

Kalibrgun  Old broken cricket story

A friend had a very nice early model cricket that wouldn't take air and it was up for sale.
IMG_5283.jpg

I reached out to Derrick @zx10wall, and talked to him about the cricket and sent him this photo....In his words "Buy the darn thing and send it my way"

So I bought it and sent it straight to Derrick for his "Fluff and Buff" expertise 😎

Well Derrick being Derrick resealed the rifle, put a plenum on it, reconfigured the cocking handle, did a super trigger job on it and whatever other "Fluff and Buff" he does.

I received the Cricket at 8 P.M. and of course I had to wait for awhile until I got the scope mounted on it.

IMG_9287.JPG

Derrick said this was a very early model with no safety, so probably around 10 years old....Damn good shape for a 10 year old rifle 😎

So I mounted the scope and right before the rain came in, I got the scope sighted in at 20 yards. Here is a target of 5 shots before the downpour.

I was shooting 24 grain Rangemaster's right at about 880 FPS right where Derrick had tuned it.

Rain for the next few days so I will have to wait to stretch it out.

THANKS Derrick for a great shooting Cricket.

  • Question
Other  Which one should I get?

Benjamin Marauder .25 or The Brocock concept .177?

Wassup guys/girls, been wanted to get into this hobby for a while and I've been browsing the forum for a while and been wondering what should I get for my first pcp air rifle. I'm mostly want to hunt on rabbits, squirrels, and doves. Honestly, I really don't care about the weight of the air rifle as long as it has a solid build.
