Brocock/BRK  New Ghost leaking, question

Posted this in the "how to fix ghost regulator" thread, but not getting any feedback, so thought I would try a new thread.
I am having an air leak issue, and can't seem to locate where it is, and suspect it may be from the regulator. A couple of questions. When I unscrew the bottle from the gun, all of the air leaks out of the gun itself. It doesn't hold the pressure as the video shows. I also notice what "looks" like rusty gunk on the bottle valve and on the port on the gun that screws into the bottle. Is this from rust, or is it just brown grease from the factory? And what would cause all of the air to evacuate from the gun when the bottle is unscrewed (the bottle itself doesn't appear to leak)?
Brand new Ghost by the way. For the price paid, I don't feel like a should have to disassemble and replace seals on a brand new gun. However, if it is a very simple fix, and the brown gunk is just grease, I could live with that. If it is rust, I worry what the other internals look like.
Thanks
Here's some pics of the gunk.

What causes those markings on the bottom of some FX guns?

I've noticed that the blocks of many FX guns often have blemishes on the underside, usually near threaded holes. Mine certainly has them. Any idea what causes this? I was thinking that whatever they use to hang the blocks during anodizing is the culprit. Just curious.

A picture for those wondering.

Huben  GK1 PERFECTED mod finally out!!

You can download my fantabulastic mod for the gun, (only V1 for the moment).

Well.. I just find out that my mod also corrects the flaw design of the charging rod getting on the way for left-handed shooters. In my grip design, the hand is a bit more lowered, so no more problems with the charging rod if you hold it with left hand, that's a plus.

Instructional video:

It shortens the overall lenght, centers the point of balance making the gun less heavy on the hand and easier to aim quickly, changes the trigger system to a press on, various trigger length choices, yeah you can feel the 2 stage and its smooth like the original, only in crappy plastic. A power tuning wheel on the go, with indicator!! just like the K1 rifle, a quick rear stock assembly mechanism, rear stock still in the make... it will be lenght adjustable on the go as well.

Accessories  SOLD Solid Oak Rifle Cradle

I make the rifle cradles pictured below. Great for maintenance, scope work, bore sighting, and sighting in.
24"x9"x7".

Contact surfaces are padded with 8-10 ounce (thick) leather. Highly adjustable with sliding supports for butt stock and grip. Threaded wood screw stabilizes the stock.
Thick leather protects the rifle in four locations. I've added rails to the sides and back end. The large threaded dowels (wood bolt) also now has a square dowel plus the round dowel to slide up. Very sturdy.

Oak -- $125 + $25 shipping

Walnut -- $150 +25 shipping

These are completely handmade by me in my retirement.

N/A  Never seen a moderator clip this bad.

So I whip out my new King today and low and behold I have POI shift. Not a few clicks to correct kind of POI shift, like 2 feet to the right and 2 feet down at 25 yards kind shift. I spent an entire clip trying to get on paper. Then I pulled my mod and took a look. WOW! FUBAR!

Well guess what? My son, who knows nothing about FX tuning, maxed my HST out at 5 while trying out these huge .22 38 grain slugs. So I get back on my light 23 gr slugs and all that extra air most likely destabilized the slug right out of the barrel. Who knows how many dam slugs he shot too. The barrel was super dirty. Anyways, I cleaned the barrel, set the HST back to 2.5 and got back to nice groups.

Sometimes I wanna use that kid as a pellet stop!

Selling all my PCP equipment due to relocating to the UK this June.

PCP Rifle  NLA Theoben Rapid .20cal

I am selling a Theoben Rapid .20cal tuned by David Slade. I received this on a trade from a former AGN member. There is a lot of photos floating around here. It is in Prestin shape, not a mark on it. Included is 2 magazines and original bottle. It has a 500 bottle on it now which is included. It is Regulated with quick fill. It will shoot M.OA. easily. It is shooting a JSB 13.73gr. @ 930fps. I have 2 other Rapids also. It is very quiet. It is mainly a safe queen. I have several tins of ammo that I would sell with it for additional costs. Asking $1200 & split shipping costs FIRM for rifle, 2 mags, 2 bottles. Accept PayPal friends and family, USPS M.O. or other payments discussed.
* Note- scope and rings are not included.
The only thing interested in trade would be a 2021 or newer Huben K-1 .22.

FX  If you could start over with unlimited budget...

Hello, I am new to this forum and PCP air rifles. However I have been shooting, hunting, and playing paintball for over 20 years. I recently moved to a 12 acre farm with tons of space for targets and pests to eliminate. I have decided to purchase an air rifle, most likely something from FX unless one of you changes my mind. I also know I will need to purchase some supporting accessories like a scope, compressor, tanks, mods, etc.

My question is: If you could do it all over with an unlimited budget what would you buy?

My current thinking:

FX Dynamic, 500, .22 - a little shorter for hunting with pellets
Some element scope - open to suggestions
GRS top mount bipod
Donny FL moderator - open to suggestions
Some type of tripod - open to suggestions
Compressor - maybe something I could use to fill paintball tanks and the airguns

What am I missing? What would you do? Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions greatly appreciated. I will be making purchases based on your input.

Barricade Stop aka Verticle grip aka place to stop the sticks

I've become obsessed (kind of) with creating the better / best / bestest ever barricade stop.

Typically i have to scrounge around to find something that will adapt either a pic rail widget, or a UIT rail widget or an Arca rail widget because my airgun collection has all these options... Wondering what all you creative airgunners have come up with
my discipline is HFT so i don't get to use a clamp or screw in type bipod / tripod ---- it has to fall away from the sticks when lifted... dems da rules and it can't be lower than 6 inches below center of barrel forward of the trigger guard. Knee risers or hamsters create other challenges.

I shoot mostly off of trigger sticks.
first is a picture of how i stop my sticks for my HFT TM pistol using kinetic M-lok QD's one on each side of the chassis, second is a pic of how i stop my sticks on my Anschutz 8002 using a PRS UIT type gizmo. Third pic is the hamster/stick stop combo that comes stock with the Crossman HFT Challenger. fourth pic is my Ghost carbine with a Rowan hamster and custom plate to comply with da rules.

Other  Hunting Rifle

Hey guys, I’ll keep this short and sweet, I want to get into hunting with a PCP where I can take hogs/deer up to 150 yards if ethical, but also shoot in my backyard, I’m in a weird spot in my state where most ranges only go up to 5.56 and 15 yards, and the closest long distance range is a couple hours away, among other issues. I’m about to be out of a job potentially, but I refuse to live my life in fear and not having enjoyment in things, with that in mind and budget, are there any decent PCPs out there that I could get into and start plinking away in the yard and be able to hunt deer and hogs? I’m in Georgia, just for reference. Thanks in advance everyone!

FX  New M3 arrived tonight, incredibly quiet!

My FX M3 arrived in perfect condition tonight and tuned to .22 18.13 JSB's by UA, which primarily what I shoot at the range. I can not believe how quiet this gun is! Filled to 250 bar and just dry firing w/ suppressor but wow. Not fair comparison but compared to my old Avenger I'm just amazed and hope there is nothing wrong.
