forearm bipod

Hello fellow field target shooters.

Got a question regarding the forearm rest and bipod. I googled and couldn't find a clear answer.

The current AAFTA rules says

  1. Any such aids must rest on the ground and may not be driven or otherwise embedded into the ground or shooting pad, and cannot be attached to the gun: must release from the gun as the gun is picked up, and must not connect to the gun with studs or devices that restrict gun movement. A single stop may be used in front or behind the gun support, but no other anchoring mechanisms are permitted.

So if the forearm has a groove (basically two stops) and you rest that groove on the bipod...is that considered illegal?

Traditional Rifle  SOLD BAM XS25H .22

More clearing out of the gun shelf, this time with a like new BAM XS25H in.22 with the skeletonized bamboo stock. Shooting at full factory specs, this Diana Mod 34 clone is an accurate shooter. The original sheet metal scope stop that came on the rifle had the small bolt sheared off so i have a real scope stop on the gun now to replace it. Looking for $160 shipped. PayPal ff or postal money order.

HW95n Field Pro arrived yesterday.

I’m liking it overall so far.

So for the bad. It’s the stock, it came with a good ding in it. And it wasn’t done during shipping. It was very well packed. No damage to the box.
To be picky I’d liked one with better grain patterns. It’s still nice. Not really a complaint.

And for the good.
Fit and finish seem very good, shoulders nicely, the barrel weight spun off easily and I just screwed the WH suppressor on. No bluing missing under it.
I didn’t mount the included scope. Rather went with one in already fond of.
It cocks actually easier than I expected. I like it.

The ding in the stock is a definite bummer. But I had already planned on stripping the stock and putting a quality finish on it. So I’ll sand out the dents and all will be well.

Airforce  Airforce Condor Doug Noble .224 193 FPE

I was wondering if you can still buy a Condor Doug Noble valve? I just saw a YouTube video of Tofazfou's Adventures with a .224 Noble valve in a Douglas barrel 12 twist. He is saying 45 grain slugs at 1300 fps.in 28 inch barrel. Heavy slugs over 60 grain1100fps. I would like to do same.thing.....Already have a 27.5 inch 12 twist .222 barrel.for my condor... I emailed Doug? Waiting for reply...Anyways Thanks

Snowpeak  Snowpeak M60

So my .22 M60 has proved to be very accurate out of the box. Im shooting jsb exact 18,13 right now due to having a few tins on hand. I am using a discovery HT 1-16x40 ffp scope and as of now have only shot it out to 60 yards. I have taken more than one groundhog at 60 yards at this point. I do plan to buy a few different types of pellets and slugs in the future but as of now I’m pretty content and happy with not having made any adjustments to the gun. While this gun isn’t exactly cheap it’s definitely worth the money I have in it. I also hope we see the airgun community take this gun a bit more seriously and just not see it as a cheap piece of junk. I have had great success in the field since getting this M60 in my hand. 🎯

FX  I finally put LW barrel on my Crown

I have owned my FX crown for about a year and a half and have never been happy with it due to drastic point of impact shifts . I played with it until I gave . up and put it in the safe. It was useless a a competition BR gun . I like the features of the crown with it easy adjustability but in my opinion the barrel liner shroud system sucks . I have been wanting to put a LW barrel on it and finally got around to doings so . I sent the gun to Richard at Airgun Revisions and he put a WL stainless 22cal barrel on it . Richard is a master airgun smith and he does great work a reasonable price and he looks to improve the design however he can to do the best job . I been playing with it and find it to be very pellet fussy but it does like Air Arm pellets . No more POI shifts Here is a target that I shot today at 35 yards . I just cleaned the barrel so it too 40-50 shots on the top of the target to get the groups to settle down . Once it settled ,I shot a pellet at each target and was very happy with the results . I will keep experimenting with the tune to see if it can be tweeked but it certainly shows great potential for a competition BR rig . Here are a couple of pictures

Traditional Rifle  SOLD HW97 Thumbhole .22 for sale includes 6 by 24 Hawke Airmax scope

Nice almost never used HW97 in .22 with 6-24 Hawke airmax scope. Has spent most of its life hanging on the wall and looking pretty. It likes GTO 11.75 no lead pellets and will shoot a .25 group at 50 yards with them. Regular lead pellets vary, with Hades a good choice as are the H and N FTT in 5.54 head size.
Price is $700 dollars shipped in the USA, or if you are close enough to South Carolina to stop and pick it up the price minus shipping is only $600 bucks. Payment to be made by money order or certified check and once it is determined that it is not a computer scam check the rifle will be shipped.

N/A  The Dark Side got me....

Hi all,

Just got back from the Baldwinsville show.
I went there intending to sell my only PCP, which I don't use. (I didn't buy it for myself in the first place).
Instead, I came home with an Air Arms S200 in .177, and this one IS for myself.

Yeah, me.... the dedicated springer guy.
The "PCP's have no soul" guy.
Bought a PCP. On purpose. ha ha! 🙄

So, this is how the Dark Side snuck up on me:
First, I spotted an odd rifle mixed in with a few very handsome PCP's (which I normally ignore). It's a good looking rifle too, but seems more to be built for a purpose. And the price was attractive too.

Second, it didn't sell in a flash, probably because it doesn't have a magazine setup.
That left it in my peripheral vision about 15 feet from my table, keeping it fresh on my mind.

Third, after staring at the rifle for a day, I finally inquired about it. Got real curious about it since the reservoir is clearly marked CZ, which got me asking questions and learning that the rifles were made with CZ barrels (their best) and tubes, and AA did the plumbing and triggers, etc.
Then I shot it (.....wow!!) and I was sold.
The sneak attack was complete, the deal was made and I am now a "Dark Sider".
I don't know if congratulations or condolences are in order.... ha ha!

I will now have to get my hands on a decent bottle and find a local shop fill it, which is really all I need for range trips.
I'm also going to look into a magazine conversion for this rifle, though it wasn't especially hard to load pellets singly.

As an aside, one of the great things about the Baldwinsville show is the range.
Whether its used for testing (nothing is better than "try it before you buy it") or just for fun, the range is great. Every show should have one.

So, it looks like my next big foray into airguns won't be the antiques (which I assumed would happen for me) but into PCP's instead.

What are the odds that it ends with just one PCP...? 😂

Help to identify this moderator

Anyone know which brand and model this moderator is? I recently got it with a new (well, actually used, but new for me) rifle and have no idea. The person who sold me the rifle (AGN member too) does not know either. No markings found on the moderator itself except "AIRGUN USE ONLY" on one end with the threading. See the pics attached. I have no clue, I tried to match it with Google image search without avail. It works great! It really performs very very very well on par with DonnyFL in not better with my AEA .30 cal. I want to get another one like this, but I don't know who makes it. It looks to be professionally manufactured, so I expect that there is a company behind it, or it may be a professional machinist. I hope someone would recognize the design and features and will be able to identify it. It has a clue who to inquire about the mod. Please help. Thank you AGN!

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER! PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST OPENING IT, LOOKING WHAT'S INSIDE, WHICH TOOLS TO USE TO OPEN IT, ETC. THIS IS CONSIDERED TO BE A DISCUSSION OF MODERATOR MODIFICATION AND IS PROHIBITED NOW ON AGN. MY PREVIOUS THREAD WAS SHUTDOWN BECAUSE IT WENT IN THIS DIRECTION. PLEASE DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN. THANK YOU!

Optics  SOLD Arken Zulus 5-20 LRF

Looking to sell my Zulus. I've used it 3-4 times. It's a great little piece of technology but maybe too much for my needs. The zoom for me is too tight for my close range shooting I tried it in today. Likely going back to a 2-12 scope. It's basically new. Has 2 batteries, charger and SD card. All original boxes. $600 shipped. Paypal F&F or add 3.5%.

FX DRS obsession

I don’t know what people think about this gun ye, but on just aesthetics I am in list!!! I have been thinking about getting a AEA in long barrel configuration and in .30 or .35 for a little further shooting. But I am seriously looking at going all out and getting the DRS Pro. That’s a decent used Honda civic worth of rifle after you put good glass and a quality bipod on it. All in i Suppos, any thoughts on this.
