Air Arms  A Conundrum - What to Do with 3 TX200's

I HAVE REVISED THIS POST, SINCE A MODERATOR SEEMS TO THINK I WAS TRYING TO SELL ON HERE, AND I ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT. SOOO, ANYWAYS....

Well, I have managed to find myself with an acute first world problem - I have managed to acquire 3 TX200's in about a 2 month time period and now going "what do I do with them?"

1st acquisition: Very , very early MK III full length action .177, but in the prior MK1 / MK2 blocky checkered stock. Very well figured dark walnut stock, which was the initial draw factor for purchase. Bought late last year, but when it arrived, found some rust inside the receiver and some in other places, along with some pitting on the receiver / barrel. It's currently sitting in pieces, as I was going to get it cerakoted. Also ordered a Vortek 12 ft. lb spring kit to install after I get it cerakoted.

2nd acquisition: Shortly after, found a local guy with a BNIB full length TX200 .177 MK III (with another nice walnut stock) that he won at a match, but he doesn't shoot springers. Picked this up for a very good price. I've pulled it out of the box and that's about it.

3rd acquisition: Found another local guy, but with a TX200HC that had the Tony Leach short stroke kit installed by Nitrocrushr on here. Such a smooth shooter with this kit. Not quite PCP level, but smoother and less recoil than my Vortek R7.

So, the TX200HC with the short stroke kit is not going anywhere. But would the other 2 full length guns offer me anything that the HC doesn't that I'm not aware of? What would you do in this situation?

Just seeing what the collaborative hive mind thoughts are.

Beeman  When all you have is a draw full of BKL singles.

That ought to do it till I decide what to order! In my defense it moved with two sets at the recommended torque and I really wanted to shoot it today. It took like five minutes to add another set. If the two held I would just leave it that way, it just looked like it had a set of BKL double straps which are my go to springer mounts.

Yet another new member

New to the site. I own a couple of old 22 caliber pellet rifles...a Benjamin 892 and a Crosman 1400 which I am currently re-sealing. Also have a newer 177 Gamo springer. All of which are relatively loud. I say this because our pointer has become freaked out when I shoot them. Looking to get into PCPs, maybe a bullpup. Any suggestions on a good quiet bullpup. Thanks

FX  Said I'd NEVER sell my FX Boss, BUT.....

As the title states, I'm toying with the idea of selling my Boss (.30) with the intent of getting a .25, 600mm, FX DRS with SHP (Super High Power) plenum. Being I respect the opinions of my fellow airgunners here I wanted to see what the feedback would be. Please don't tell me I'd regret letting the Boss go. Of course I will but here's my reasoning. I'm on fixed income and pellets are NOT getting cheaper, especially .30 cal. The wife & I might be parting ways & that makes things even harder to afford. Seems the DRS is getting good feedback from owners and the like. A high power .25 would do the job with the hunting I do. So my friends, talk me out of it or into it (DRS) & let me know what you think. I'd always regret selling my favorite gun but I'm trying to be practical (an oddity for me!). I better get in that mindset for what's coming down the road for me.

Air Arms  In less than 2 years the XTi-50

In less than 2 years the Air Arms XTi-50 has made a permanent mark on the Field Target circuit.

Where to go to slowly sell off my collection?

A few years back I sold a really nice blue streak in its original box on Ebay. The seller threatened to report me to Ebay and trash my 100% rating if I didn't refund $50 back to him because I didn't disclose a torn tab on the box. No complaint about the gun. Buyers like this make sellers disclose the condition of their items as "not working for parts only". Even if the item is in perfect working condition the scammers ruin it by gaming the system. Ebay was of no help and sided with the buyer.
Trying to find a site where like minded buyers and sellers can buy and sell using ethics and common sense. If there is a nick, scratch, doesn't hold air etc. say it. Most of my buyers on Ebay report back that it is nicer than they expected. These were mostly classic Mustang parts.
What is the history of AGNs buyer/seller satisfaction? I have a collection to start selling somewhere.

ACTON California in the So Cal Burn area .. Is American Air Arms still with us ?

Just viewed a burn scar map on news this morning that had the community of ACTON well inside a Burned area area devastated by the wild fires.
Not read anything if or not AAA lost there facility or not ?
Anyone know anything ? as I sure hope Tom and all his efforts did not go up in smoke

Crosman  Crosman 362 with Steel Breech?

I have my Crosman 362 for about a year now. This little pumper is light-weight and insanely accuracy at 10-20 yard shooting off-hand. I now consider throwing in a Crosman steel breech so I can mount a scope for long-range shooting. I have read that the screw on the steel breech is not flush and loading a pellet is problematic. Some also complained that the muzzle speed drops after swapping in the steel breech. Is this still a problem? Shall I get the breech after all?

HW/Weihrauch  The R8 stays.

Crummy weather and no scope rings has kept me from shooting my new to me R8. Today I mounted a scope and finally got to shoot the rifle. When I first got the rifle I was disappointed in the heft of the rifle. With the scope mounted it balances well enough that it still feels good in hand. Much better than I thought it would. Even though it's 15 ounces heavier than my modern Hw50 the weight isn't obvious in hand.

It's not a powerhouse. JSB 7.33s average 670 fps and 8.44s 615 fps. It's a bit slower than my Hw30s but I'm sure I'll be able to bump it up a little bit past them. I'll be happy if I get close to 9fpe out of it

Accuracy is hard to judge since I was only shooting a couple of pellet types at 20 yards. It wasn't great but wasn't scary either. It's what I expect from an old gun that wasn't shot in a while.

The gun doesn't have enough droop to be a problem but the barrel leans right enough that it needs to be fixed. Overall the rifle handles well enough that I'm happy to have it.

Hw50 (Mamma Bear) on the left = 7lbs,4oz
R8 on the right = 8lbs, 3oz
Now that I like her. I'll straighten the barrel and I'll take a peek inside to see what I want to do for a kit.

Be well all
Ron
