FX  FX Airguns King Synthetic Stock .30 cal with Halo Slugs REVEALED!

This is one trip I've been dreaming about! I had the incredible opportunity to visit the world-renowned FX Airguns headquarters in Sweden, where innovation and craftsmanship are combined to create some of the best airguns on the planet. In this video, I’ll take you behind the scenes to explore their cutting-edge facility and, of course, put some of their latest gear to the test. Pay attention as there is a bit of a breaking news announcement in this video about FX Airguns offering a barreled action option to dealers so you can drop the FX King into ANY stock or chassis!

Mistake

So I got my compressor and bottle..everything ready to start shooting. I aired up my tank to approximately 4000-4200 psi (it’s a 4500 tank). The next day it got cold and the tank was down to 2000 psi, I know I would have lost some psi to it being cold. But not that much, checked to see if I had a leak everything was good. Tried to fill tank back up and busted the burst disk. So evidently either my tank gauge is wrong or something.

RAW Rapid  RAW HM1000X .25 fixed and tested at 78 yards pics

A RAW HM1000X .25 had come to me for repair. Regulator rebuild, new valve, trigger repair and anti hammer bounce device was needed.

After doing all this and setting up the gun at around 900fps with 34 grain JSB pellets, I got some time to test it today.

Below is the result at 78 yards 15 shots group and related pics.

Air Arms  TX200 MkIII FAC Plus at 50-Feet

I know the thing is to set up the TX200 to run sub 12lbs for accuracy. It is just not my thing. I have this one set up with an FAC spring, and an additional 3mm spacer. It is running about 790fps (edited) with AA 10.3s. I usually shoot at 50-yards. In the "winter" I move more indoors and shoot from 50-feet. It typically dos ok there as well. The shot cycle seems nice to me.

Sheridan  A trip down "SHERIDAN RD"

Introduced in 1949, the top rifle in the pictures is an example of the first Model "C" SilverStreak produced. It's recognizable by the flat slab-like stock, undercut front sight, large knurled adjustment knobs on the rear sight, and slotted pump handle screws.

In 1952, a sister gun to the SilverStreak was rolled out. Second rifle down, it's known as the Model "CB" BlueStreak. The first variant, BlueStreaks, can quickly be identified by the rear sight. It has large adjustment knobs similar to early Model C's, but rather than knurling, the knobs are smooth on the edges, and the male knob is slotted for a screwdriver. By 1953, the rear sight used adjustment screws with smaller slotted heads. There were several other changes made to the "C" series in those first three years, but the rear sight knobs set this gun apart from 1953-55 BlueStreaks.

The last of the SilverStreaks came off the assembly line in 2009. The 2010 catalogs no longer carried them. The third gun from the top represents an example of this final variation, Model C9A.

Sadly, three years later, in 2012, Crosman ended production of the BlueSteaks as well. There's no mention of them in the 2013 catalogs.

That's an incredible sixty years of production for each model.

FX  Impact M3 Tuning Advice (inconsistency)

So I have my Impact shooting pretty decent groups after tuning but most of my shot charts look like this. I am shooting 18.1g FX ammo at 120/85 bar and usually shoot between 880-900 fps.

I did notice my regs creep a little and that’s why the first shot is low, but why the buildup like that. Should I have more pressure at the rear reg so it has a stronger contact with the valve adjuster? I can’t figure out why my strings are like this. Anything I can fix?

Benjamin  Newbie Picking PCP

Ok - Narrowed it down to the Benjamin Marauder Weihrauch HW100 Long barrel
Picking .22 cal and need quiet for back yard shooting of mainly targets at 100 ft and squirrels.
Need to get a scope pick and want comments --
Marauder seems to have a few air leak comments on the web -- not sure if this is just a one off.
Looking forward to comments

FX  Can’t believe the sound difference

Not sure if it’s my tune or what is wrong. So looking at pyramid air the Panthera is 3 for loudness and the M3 it’s 4.

I have a Panthera compact 22 with the 380 barrel. I got it down to less than 50 on the reg and close to 500fps as I want to shoot in basement and it’s quiet.

With new M4 there are tons of used M3 for sale. I bought a M3 compact with 500 barrel for 1500 other day. So happy. The guy had it on a 18gr tune. So the first shot I tried was with 25.39gr Straton it went 750 ish.

Wow what a difference in sound. The M3 is so much quieter than the Panthera.

I’m sure it’s the barrel. But could my Panthera low tune be causing issues??? I still don’t understand why pyramid would say Panthera compact is quieter than M3 compact.

HW/Weihrauch  HW95 rebuild

After breaking a couple new (factory) springs I finally decided to dig into the HW95.

I've been using a bar clamp for a compressor. It works but it's less than ideal. I wanted to build a jig that held all my rifles properly. I grabbed a piece of 3/8" plywood and a couple pine 2x2 and went to work.

This is what I came up with. It's a push rod that uses a couple hardwood blocks to "dog" the receiver in place. The blocks can be changed to securely hold any rifle I own.

20241122_161255.jpg

Here is a closeup of the dogs that hold the rifle. I'll make a set for the HW97 and another for the Cometa.

20241122_161317.jpg

And here is the problem. A splintered spring. It looks to me like heating the end of the spring made it brittle. It split down the wire. The piston end has a mean left hook. It only has a max of 3k shots through it. It's been shooting below 600 fps. for the last 1000 shots.

I'm cleaning things up and installing a Vortek kit. We'll see if that makes this little rifle shoot again...

Snowpeak  Power-up for a M60B .35cal (+ found factory faults)

After some hesitation, i started to increase the size of the transfer ports of my M60B in .35cal. This is my 1st airgun and therefore my knowledge is based on the uuuTube and reading up on what people discuss in here (mostly). So first of all, thanks for sharing experiences and knowledge, i really appreciate it.

My 1st question is: Why the hell is there a bump in the ridge for the o-ring at the beginning of the barrel?
that can't be right, since it must be the reason the original o-ring is broken at exactly that spot. luckily there was one spare o-ring in the bag of spares, that might fit. it has another color (green), and i wonder if that is because it is another material. if so. what might that be?
photo_2024-11-23 00.06.09.jpeg

original o-ring broken, first i thought it is due to the raw edges on the projectile probe,
but when i took it out, i saw a bump in the groove for the o-ring.
photo_2024-11-23 00.06.24.jpeg

photo_2024-11-23 00.06.27.jpeg

above is the shape of the groove , which caused the o-ring to get ground up by the projectile probe over time.
i will try the spare o-ring (black) instead, but only after i manage to remove the bumb (unless anybody explains me that this on purpose and WHY?)
when poking at it, i realized it can move along the groove, so i thinK it is some kind of debris from manufacturing. but initially i was confused because it was aligned with the port hole at the bottom of the barrel.
below are some pictures of my process, in case you see coarse mistakes or have helpful and encuraging comments please let me know.
photo_2024-11-23 00.06.15.jpeg

above you see the polished projectile probe. i left it at the original oval size, which is 5mm wide and 7mm long.
photo_2024-11-23 00.06.05.jpeg

here's the valve taken mostly apart. the 4 transfer ports were each 4mm and are now 5mm.

photo_2024-11-23 00.06.18.jpeg

here's the barrel port, before (5,5mm) and after (6.5mm). the barrel also had a laser etched serial number, which surprized me somehow.

photo_2024-11-23 00.06.21.jpeg

and finally the barrel port with the probe port aligned. i'll polish this some more, for those who like it shiny. =)

N/A  Eastern European Curiosity

Hey all,
I've gotten the itch, and have become very curious about the Eastern European guns. I've got an FX Maverick, but want something different. I was wondering what the differences were for these guns, and any first hand experiences with them.

KalibrGun Cricket 2 Tactical
AGT Vulcan 3
AGT Uragan 2
Airmaks Krait

All the rage seems to be around the Zelos / Snowpeak guns, and at half the price maybe that's a consideration now too. But, something has me intrigued about the Eastern European guns right now.

Is there any I'm leaving out?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Daystate Wolverine .22 Price drop

I have a beautiful Daystate Wolverine 22 for sale. It was tuned by the previous owner and shoots amazing. I have not done anything with this gun accept fill it and shoot it. It shoots amazing. The gun is a 9.9/10 and will ship well protected. The wood stock is gorgeous.

It comes with the shroud pictured with a moderator attached, and also a 2nd shroud that is threaded. I'm only selling this to help fund a powder burner for hunting big game. The wife says something has to go to add another and this gets the least use since I'm always worried about marring the beautiful stock. I have a picture showing the only small blemish I can find on the stock.

The scope attached is NOT included, but I will include the dovetail rings. Please message me for info or questions. I'm not looking to trade.

Was asking 1200, now asking 1100.00 obo, shipped and insured, friends and family or G/S if you pay the fees. Ships to lower 48 only.

PCP Rifle  SOLD .22 Custom Kalibr Cricket Tactical 60 (project)

Hey All,

Had this posted yesterday and went out to get some velocity info for a member and with 200 bar in the bottle I am just getting a click when the trigger is pulled. Guessing since this gun has sat for a while it is in need of a good once over etc. and as simple as these are I can’t imagine it being to big of a fix for someone with the time and know how.

Was planning to send it to Charlie to dig into but end of the day it would just end up sitting in the case so figure would just sell it cheap and let the new owner dive into it….

It is a custom .22 Cricket Tactical long with a 700mm barrel (usually the come with a 600mm barrel) and custom paint job. Was an EBR prize a couple years back.

Have 2 magazines and the full probe.

Figure 675.00 and we can split the shipping is fair. PayPal for pmt.

Scope, rings, bipod, moderator not included.

JTS  JTS Airacuda Standard Issues

Hello All! I have gone into the web search rabbit hole of a beginner noob getting into PCP'ing and in that journey I have learned the following....
  • Buy a reputable gun or else you'll get made fun of on the internet when you ask for help
  • More money, less problems, less money, more problems?
  • Gamo breakbarrels are not a good entry into air rifling (refer to first bullet point)
  • If you want to make your fills easy, plan on spending another $400-$600 on a tank. Otherwise, get ready to pump...
  • PCP'ing can be like a science to someone who has no idea what a baffle, trigger group, hammer, or shroud is..
  • Expect to go down another rabbit hole when it comes to scopes...
Anyways, in my searching, I have been introduced to the JTS Airacuda due to the YouTube and Google algorithm's. Don't blame me for buying one because from what I watched and read from reputable reviewers and articles online, it's a great gun for the price. I ordered it, then saw the Airacuda had some issues and the Avenger is the better bet for $30 more. But finding evidence of those issues and also a concise list of those issues is nearly impossible. So I thought, why not sign up on a reputable forum and make a list for guys like me searching to get into the game and finding the JTS Airacuda. (With potential ridicule from other forum members)

So I'll start the list and maybe Google can help new PCPers looking at the Airacuda Standard...
  1. The customer services sucks - This is only what I have read and heard. Seems that Reddit is a little more frank on how bad their service is (Anyone want to share their experience with JTS?)
  2. There was an initial pinging sound that all of the YouTubers encountered that was quieted for mass production rifles
  3. Baffle issues? What is a baffle anyways?
  4. Leaking foster adapter due to what?
  5. Issue with clipping on some moderators (For the noobs, that is a silencer) and the pellet smashes into the moderator upon exit of the barrel(I know what a barrel is)
My Airacuda is showing up next week. I bought it for plinking and hunting on my 11 acre property that has quail, doves, and rabbits. Someone gifted me a .25 Gen 1 Marauder but that caliber seems a little big the little birdies so I got this guy to accompany my Benjamin. THANKS FOR LISTENING!

N/A  Help we win!

Howdy folks,

Let me preface this with a bit of a back story. Part of my air gun range is an expanded IHMSA air pistol range shooting 1/10th scale targets. I say expanded because instead of the regulation 10yd Chicken, 12yd Pig, 15yd Turkey & 18yd Ram they are sitting at 10yds, 15yds, 20yds & 25yds respectively. IHMSA air pistol never took off in my area, so the range became the family favorite plinking range. Many years of good times have been spent knocking them over with all manner of air guns. I say with all humility that the ”old man” is the undisputed champion of that range. Don’t get me wrong, my kids are dang good shots but I always manage to edge them out in our friendly competitions.

Fast forward 20 years..

Recently my son got into 10m pistol & from all accounts he’s good at it! After speaking to him on the phone last night, he was telling me he wouldn’t be home for Thanksgiving but would for Christmas, he had the audacity to challenge me with the IHMSA range. The cocky little sh*t thinks he can take me ON MY RANGE with his 10m pistol! But it gets better, owing to my old age & infirmity (his words) he will allow me the use of a long gun with some proviso’s. It needs to have open sights & shoot sub 700 fps.

He doesn’t realize old age & treachery will overcome youth & skill so to my way of thinking that means diopter sights. The problem is I don’t own any rifles that meet that criterion. I do have a tuned Daisy 880 that is a tack driver but it has standard irons. I am tempted to use it & even think I might could take him with it (I have “cleaned” the course using it a time or 2) but where is the fun in that??

I NEED A NEW GUN!!

I would prefer not to spend $5k on a 10m rifle to win a gentleman’s bet but I am willing to spend a good bit so I might as well use this “challenge” as an excuse to get something I will actually enjoy having.

I am not really up on the myriad of springers out there (This “old man” is wanting “old school” to learn this whipper snapper) so if anyone can provide some suggestions I would be greatly appreciative!

So in a nutshell I am looking for a springer that is sub 700fps, exceptionally accurate & has provisions for a diopter rear & hooded front sight (duel dovetail). Oh & I need it in the next 2 -3 weeks. Easy right...

Sorry for the long post but I figured there aren’t any (many) kids here & some of you might enjoy the wind up.

Bob

Aesthetics: excluding wood furnitured guns, 1 to 5 how much do they impact your purchasing decisions?

Everyone loves beautiful wood furniture, so leaving that out of the decision process I'm a solid 4. That said, something that I'll agree is conventionally ugly (cough, cough any AF gun) can also be something that I find myself warming up to as I begin to appreciate it's functionality. So it's like a trusty power tool type relationship beauty in the eye of the beholder type thing.

With the vast selection to be had out there in consumerland it also leads down a real rabbit hole when it comes to actually finally selecting something. Being out of the activity since the early 90's & limited to springers, I restarted out w the attitude that it had to look like a traditional gun. Now I'm coming around to kind of appreciating the ability to tweak the more 'tactical' looking airgun furniture and hardware. Shooting game where it may really matter isn't something that I'm currently engaged in and also tacticool isn't really my thing either, but those features really are convenient just for general range shooting IMHO. Should I feel guilty about this?
