PCP Rifle  NLA *Postponing sale* Uragan 2 .177 4 mags $1100 shipped or Trade

Alrighty, letting go of my work horse .177. I originally received this from Krale shooting 10gr slugs at 900ish fps, I've been able to easily push 20gr at 990fps before settling at 953fps. That's 39fpe, and still getting about 60shot per fill.

It loves 16gr griffing at 970fps so I will throw those in. I currently returned from 1044fps with the 16gr to 930fps just to be easy on the gun and get more shots. Should be close to 100shot at this power level.
If you'd like it to shoot a specific speed I can tune it as such before shipping.

I did have to carve into the back of the stock in the interior to be able to adjust the hammer back more. If you'd prefer the synthetic stock I can put that on instead but that one is not carved for extra adjustment space.

It comes with 4 mags, 2 OEM mags that are 16rd from AGT and 2 Orion mags that are 15rd.

Fill probe, spare orings, fill whip, manual, carry bag.

The new Arca bottom rail.

Edit: I decided to sell the ammo as at this current tune it doesn't care for the the16gr slugs. But it loves 13.43gr grouping moa at 150yds

$1100 shipped, no scope or ammo.

Or trade for Krait L .22/25

PCP Rifle  SOLD Reximex Lyra-K .22 cal

Had my fun with this one and I have too many.. this is a great light weight carbine that I can hunt with all day without getting tired of carrying it around..

I’ve made a few refinements and adjustments from OE configuration..

First I polished the crown on the barrel and cleaned/ polished barrel, which greatly improved groups.
Currently set up to shoot premiers at about 800fps And at 30 yds it will shoot dime size groups all day.

Rifle will also do 40fpe if your after power.

2nd.. is what I do every time I receive a rifle new out of the box.. i disassemble the action and clean/polish the bolt, hammer, spring and remove any sharp edges from machining. Also check/ tighten fasteners and applied blue loctite to a few specific ones.

3rd and last thing done to the rifle is that I removed about 1.5 inches from the butt of the stock to shorten the way to long LOP..
This made it shoulder very nicely and imo the way it should’ve been originally.

Full disclosure, I didn’t get around to matching up the butt with the butt pad so one side is flush and the other side is proud about 1/16-1/8 of an inch.

Ships double boxed in original box with 2 mags, manual. No scope…

Asking $400 shipped inside conus..

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Beaman RX1 (20th Anniversary) Rifle for sale.

I have a 20 cal RX1 commemorative edition rifle for sale. I am the original owner and bought it from Robert Beaman directly. I can email you more detailed pictures as needed.

The RX1 was outfitted with the blue ribbon scope at time of purchase. They added the block-off plate to cover the original sites. It has an optional silencer (basically a grip). And finally they added some optional bushings in the stock pivots. This also includes the 20th anniversary case with special logo. The only thing missing is at one time there was lens caps with elastic strings for scope. I have not seen them in years so that will not be included in the sale. I believe I have an original Beaman leather pellet bag to go with it.

This is an exceptionally nice piece.

I have a good friend who is an FFL, and he can help me get the rifle boxed and shipped to you.

I will take PayPal or a certified check. Price is $1,000 plus buyer pays shipping cost of their choice. I am in Des Moines Iowa and local pickup is encouraged if you are in driving distance..

PCP Pistol  NLA HW44 Pistol/Mini Carbine, .22 cal, $715

I bought this pistol used from AoA last year. Was helping a friend who was looking for a tool to dispatch vermin caught in traps. He went with something much larger (BinTac T9), so I played with this pistol making it into a mini-carbine. But truth be told, I prefer shooting my recently purchased .22 Mordax, and I really don't much shoot PCP Pistols. So the Weihrauch is up for sale.

Last time over the chrony was shooting JSB 13.43's best, at an average of 746 fps (and nice and accurate on my 25 yard range). And I put in my notes "refill after 2 mags."

Recently I decided to play the mini-carbine game with this gun, so I bought some hardware and a Buck Rail quick release carbon fiber stock. Was a fun little project which was easily accomplished using some of the accumulated knowledge of AGN members. So this gun is usable as a pistol or as a mini-carbine (for more accuracy longer range). The rear iron sight (included) had to be removed to attach the stock, but IIRC it is one screw to re-attach. The whole stock mount is quickly and easily removable by loosening 3 screws (shown by arrows in the photo below).

Comes with 2 OEM magazines, a single shot tray, fill probe, the removed rear sight and the components shown to make it a mini-carbine.

Does NOT come with the Vector Optics Veyron 3-12x44 FFP compact scope nor the mounting rings. But this mounted scope could be included for an additional $105 above the gun's listed price. NOTE: This is a normal eye-relief RIFLE scope, NOT a long eye relief pistol scope. So it is only good for use in the mini-carbine configuration.

Price as shown (minus scope and rings) is $715 paid via PP Friends & Family, shipping included WITHIN the CONUS.

First "I'll take it" wins.

Thanks,
Tom

PCP Pistol  SOLD Huben GK1 V3 Pistol, .25 cal, Tuned, $985

*** SOLD ***

I have found that I don't shoot PCP pistols as much as I thought I would, so I am putting my .25 cal GK1 V3 up for sale. I originally bought this Derrick Wall tuned pistol off the AGN Classifieds here:

https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/25-cal-huben-gk1-version-3-tuned-by-derick-wall.1310612/

This gun has not been tuned or adjusted since I bought it (I don't mess with Derrick Wall tunes as I am quite sure that he has already forgotten more than I will ever know about airguns). Less than 100 rounds through it in my hands. The only 'change' I made was to put a red paint dot on the normally un-marked frame, to show with more specificity where the 'red is dead' position of the safety lever is.

The only blemish I see on this gun is a slight press mark on the grip, shown in a close up photo below. No known issues with the gun.

Price is $985 via PP Friends & Family, which includes shipping within CONUS.

First "I'll take it" wins.

Thanks,
Tom

EDIT 4/25: Answering a question I've now received twice - so others may want to know as well. The gun was tuned for 33.95's and shoots them at an average of 827 fps. With 25.39 MRDs - those fly at 885 fps. From a pistol!

Taipan  Comparing the Taipan Slash compared to the Huben K1 - Whether to buy a 1st release model instead of waiting for new owner feedback

It's a common enough situation. We start seeing teaser reviews of new airgun models at the annual shows. The technical specs look very promising and the overall appearance is acceptable. And after a person has owned enough different airguns they are often looking to try the 'best new release' as soon as it's available.

So I got an e-mail notice recently that the Taipan Slash is (soon to be) finally available. I've never owned a Taipan product but they usually get very good reviews. I've owned a few semiauto L2s and Hubens in the past and now that I'm older I strongly favor a semiauto over a manually cocked repeating action. At least when the semiauto functions correctly (no more AEA semiautos for me) and that can be quite expensive.

It would be interesting to be one of the first owners of a Taipan Slash. I think that it's especially true for anyone who is active on airgun forums and who likes to be the first to post their impressions of a new highly-hyped model. I've occasionally bought first-release models, like an Airmaks Krait imported before they were available here in the US. Unfortunately, the regulator used on that first model release was faulty and I ended up selling it as a sort of failed experiment before I got any use out of it.

One of the most useful features of new PCP airguns to me is the ability to easily adjust shot power using external controls which don't require the removal of the stock or degassing of the air tank for adjustment. A model like the Huben K1 is so successful in large part because the power can easily be adjusted from 8fpe to 80fpe.

Coming back around to the new Slash. It still isn't clear, to me anyway, how easy it will be to adjust the shot power. There is a warning (in the manual?) about not adjusting the regulator pressure as set by the factory, while one of the videos indicated that power can be adjusted, but didn't provide any specific details on the process. I expect that the large size of the shroud on the Slash, combined with a shorter barrel within the shroud, should make the Slash at least as quiet as a K1 when used at similar shot power.

And that is exactly the kind of info I'd like to know about the Taipan Slash before deciding whether to try one.
The K1 is a widely reviewed model with a good track record, many people on this forum have owned one.
And the cost of a K1, especially now that they show up in the classifieds quite often, is about $1,000 US less than the cost of a new Slash.

So how does the Slash compare to the Huben K1 in power adjustability and sound level?

Someone out there will eventually post their impressions and comparisons on their new Slash.
I wish that it was going to be me. But the K1 is already so good (except for having a fixed magazine and no caliber over .25) that I'll probably wait for someone else to take the first plunge this time around.

Tuning  FX M4 .22/.35 BC Data & Starting Tune Settings

G'Day Everyone,

New to the forum and recently picked up an FX M4 800mm in both .22 and .35 calibers. I'm diving into the world of precision air gunning for hunting and want to get the most out of the rifle.

I'm currently in the process of gathering data to feed into my ballistic calculator (Alpex 4K) and would greatly appreciate any insights the community might have on the ballistic coefficients (BCs) for various grains of slugs and pellets commonly used in these calibers. I've already started checking manufacturer websites and some review sites, as I understand BC is specific to the projectile.

In addition to BC data, I'm also looking for general starting points for regulator and hammer spring tension for different projectile weights and types in both .22 and .35. I know these settings are highly individual to the rifle and the desired velocity, and a chronograph is essential for proper tuning. My plan is to start with conservative regulator pressures (around 120-140 BAR for pellets and potentially higher for slugs) and mid-range hammer spring settings, then carefully adjust while monitoring velocity to find the sweet spot for accuracy and consistency. I'm also mindful of balancing power with shot count.

Given the STX barrel system, I'm aware that different liners and projectiles might have unique optimal settings. Any experience or data you can share regarding specific slug/pellet combinations and their associated BCs, along with approximate starting regulator and hammer spring settings that have worked well for you on your FX M4 (.22 or .35), would be incredibly helpful in speeding up my initial tuning process and minimizing wasted ammo.

Air Arms  How accurate is a springer- really

Hi all. This is my attempt to answer the age old question of what practical accuracy can be expected from a springer, quirks included. With no wind to speak of and my TX shooting well it seemed like a good time to see what it could do from my favorite position, sitting using a set of old Stony Point Shooting sticks. My personal standard for good accuracy is anything less than 2 MOA, which is approximately 0.50” at 25 yards or 0.70” at 35 yards.

I started off shooting from 25 yards, and as expected with that rifle, the first shot went a bit low. The other four shots went a little high and right. The second group continued that trend with a reasonably tight cluster high and right. Groups three and four showed nice tight groups, still a bit right but lower. POI shifting a bit lower after ten shots is not unexpected with that rifle, and one of the “quirks” I was referring to. The tendency to hit a bit right may be simply the result of how I timed the shot, or something else, who knows.

After finishing at 25 yards, I moved to 35 yards to confirm my zero. The group made the cut at under 2 MOA, but was a bit high and just a little left. Why was it a little left instead of right like I had seen at 25 yards? Might have been a wind effect, might have been me, who knows.

The take away I think is that a good springer can be very accurate at short ranges, but may subject to a little more POI drift than a regulated PCP or a high quality rimfire. And of course there is the problem of position sensitivity. I would expect to have to adjust my zero were I to shoot the same rifle from the bench. A PCP or rimfire might show some shift in POI depending on position, but nowhere near as much in my experience.

Have a good evening.
Chuck
