PCP Rifle  SOLD Custom Prod Challenger Carbine .22 *Reduced*

This is a Benjamin Marauder pistol in a Crosman 2009 challenger stock fitted with a aftermarket LDC.
bfb3c3e8-f01b-4fd4-be9a-530d69f71953-1_all_4708.jpg

Shooting about 12fpe for 30 shots per fill or 3 full mags from a 2850psi fill and it's loves predator GTO lead free pellets. I put this together as a trainer rifle to use with my nephews and it worked phenomenally with the LOP being able to be adjusted down for youth and the easy to use bolt that they are familiar with. It also has the gen1 mrod adjustable trigger and spacer along with an upgraded RAW trigger blade which sets back a bit further from the factory trigger again aiding youth or small frame shooters.
1000017696.jpg

The stock of course can easily be set for an adult as well and makes for a great barn pest, general use carbine.(36.5in Oak, 30in with the LDC off.)
Asking $400 shipped with 2 mags, or $475 with Hawke 4-12x40 Panorama scope and mounts.

EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

Ed (EPG) got me interested in this lil’ do dad. I really like it.

If you are at the range, or at the bench in your backyard and you fill from an air tank several times during your shooting session, take a look at this EzAy Fill Trigger from Edgun. $ 150, not cheap but worth it to me anyway.

While this is not an endorsement, I saw this on a recent AEAC review and Steve demo’d the easy way to fill your PCP air guns without removing or bleeding your fill wip from the gun each time you fill and remove the hose. A side benefit is that you save air, especially if you fill or top off 6, 8, 10 times or more during your session.

Here’s one example. I brought my RAW TM1000x .177 to the range this past week. My GW was approximately at 3600 psi when I started and is currently at around 3300 psi. But, I probably filled it from 150 BAR to 220 BAR about six times. I honestly don’t know how much air it can save, but it appeared to save quite a bit. I only bled the GW tank valve one time, when I was finished. You can leave the Trigger in your gun or remove it, based on your preference. I tried both ways.

I like the idea of using the red EzAy fill trigger vs. loosening the yoke on my Great White. Why? Because it’s simple, and I can fill slow or fast by controlling the EzAy lever which is spring attached. I use the GW tank pressure gauge to stop when I am at max fill pressure on a particular PCP. I also avoid bending over every time I’m behind the bench to fill the gun by reaching for the Yoke on the GW.

AoA and Utah Air have them in stock. Here is a link that describes the features below: There are a few YouTubes that also demo the product.

FX  Skeptical

I was talking to a guy today that told me his buddy consistently makes 200+ yard headshots on ground squirrels. I told him I could I only do that with my 204/223 powder burner(and even then, not consistently). He said the guy is making 0.25" to 0.50" five shot groups at 200yds. I believe the shooter is using an FX custom 25 cal with with heavy slugs. The shooter said(we talked to him on the phone) that he is shooting at 1100+ ft/sec, so it is subsonic, but I don't remember what weight slugs he was shooting. I invited him to my gun range to show me because even though I don't think it is impossible, I just feel that with my experiences and seeing people shooting high end powder burning varmint rifles, it just seems rather improbable. I am no fan of eating crow, but I'm willing to eat a whole plate full just to see this guy shoot a couple of sub moa 5 shot groups at 200yds with an air rifle with consistency. If you know of people achieving this sort of accuracy, I'd like to know about it.

PCP Rifle  SOLD WTS-P35X .22 cal

I purchased this rifle from Huma-air a few months back.. I spent a good bit of time polishing, de-burring and smoothing out the cocking lever action as it wasn’t as smooth as I preferred it to be in factory form… the same was done to the bolt and hammer as well and the end result is much improved from its out of box operation..
The reg has been increased about 1/8 turn from original configuration which now has the rifle shooting 21 grain (.217) H&N slugs very well @ 885 fps for 36 FPE..

I don’t recall shot count exactly but I believe this nets around 35-40 shots on reg.

The rifle is in a lightly used but overall great, close to “as new” condition.

Comes with 1 original mag , replacement Oring set, user manual and fill probe.
Will ship in double boxed..

Asking $430 shipped inside conus.
Thanks!

The virtues of single shots:

Has anyone done a rounds per minute time comparison between a single shot VS. an average (non hi-cap) mag fed gun?

For some reason I can't help but feel that at the end of the day the #s might be closer than expected if you factor in your chill & fill time plus swapping mags.

& for me there is the issue of double feeds 🙄 and then there is the whole maintenance/ reliability dealeo. I think we can all agree that multishot guns bring in more factors that can potentially become issues. But we won't let that harsh our mellow during this thought experiment.

What think you?

Airgun Technologies  U2 choices

My first SS check hit the bank today and I'm treating myself to a green laminate Uragan 2 from Tony. I prefer the looks of the 600 v the 700 but worry about giving up too much speed with the shorter barrel. Is it realistic to obtain mid to upper 900's with a 25-28g slug out of the 600 barrel? Anybody buy the 600 or 700 and wish they had gone the other route and why?

FX  FX King 600 vs FX Impact M4 Sniper in 0.25cal

Hello guys!
I have a bit of wondering between those two guns. I already have DRS Classic in 0.25cal, but the shots count is the main problem for me. I shoot mainly benchrest for fun and some bird pest control at over 50 -70yards. I am not a tech guy and prefer out of the box set up or a small tune ups. I see M4 have extended tuning options (well explained already), slug gun as well. On the other hand the Kings looks more like a gun, can shoot slugs, good hunting airgun.
So, i am a bit of wonder which to go next (or not since i have DRS Classic)? Or maybe another high quality gun in the price range of the FXs

Are we having fun yet?

In our martial arts classes the stretching exercises were brutal and my partner would often ask "are we having fun yet?"

Yeah, the pain was self inflicted but there was a benefit to the exercises.

Unfortunately, I'm seeing the same sort of thing with some of my shooting buddies. Instead of enjoying the shooting session they are getting frustrated and angry that the groups are not up to their expectations.

Fueled by pictures of (cherry-picked) groups and (heavily edited) videos of incredible shots, some my friends are stressing themselves (and their budgets) in pursuit of the magic airgun/scope/projectile/accessory that will make them happy.

What happened to shooting for the fun of it and doing the best we can with our current level of skill and the equipment we have?

Ok, full transparency here. I'm a perfectionist that enjoys good quality equipment. I'm at the "serious amateur" level, not a PRO.

That being said, it's mid-winter indoor shooting season and I'm totally enjoying shooting with my 10 meter pistol. The pistol is capable of .010 ctc, 5 shot, 10 meter groups. The hole in the factory test target measures .198".

20250203_140048.jpg

My groups are laughable (move the decimal a couple of places to the right) but they are getting better and I'm having fun.

I'm constantly trying to improve my shooting skill and practicing is something I enjoy doing. If it's too easy I move the target back to increase the challenge. No big deal when my groups suck 🤪

I understand that professional competitive shooters need to go all out. Shooting is serious and there's money on the table. But what about the average, casual shooter?

So I'm curious, what is important to you?

Are you having fun yet?

Cheers!

Tuning  How to lower SD on unregulated pcp's?

With my Hatsan AT-44 QE 177 and Beeman Chief 2 plus 177, im getting average SD of around 20 over 40-50 shot strings ( i have them both shooting 900ish fps at 2000psi fill pressure ).. What can be done to lower the SD? I want to get the SD as low as i can before i decide where i want to set them up to shoot the two mags per fill..

Vector Veyron scope failure

My Veyron 3-12x stopped holding zero today. I couldn't get any groups less that a couple inches at 30 yards. When I tried to rezero it, the poi move all over the place in about a 2-3 inch circle. You never knew where adjustments would move the poi.

I put a SWFA 10x on and shot a 3/8“ group about 1 mil high and 3/4 mil left. Dialed in the change and dead on.

So now we'll see what Vector will do. I'm pretty sure the Veyron only has a 5 year warranty and I've had this one well over a year, maybe more, and don't remember where I bought it.

Diana  I finally found a Diana Model 34 Sport.

I had one of these back in the 1980s or so. It was my first adult air rifle. It was quickly traded in for a D48 which I kept for years. I run an ad in the classifieds once in a while looking for one just to have one. I was recently contacted by zrman27500 and rwsmike to let me know there was one on Gunbroker. I really appreciate that they took the time to message me. I bought it for a reasonable 140.00. The gun arrived today and is tight with no striped screws or threads and a straight barrel. It does have a broken mainspring. That figures since I recently threw one out. I will search out a spring and just be happy to have found one of these quirky pieces of airgun history.

  • Question
N/A  Huben and Western Airgun

If Huben and Western Airguns are made in China (correct me if I am wrong), why are they so expensive?

I’ve been looking into the GK1 and Mordax to add to my collection and came across several articles confirming they’re actually manufactured in China.

I also had a chance to chat in person with a dealer who used to sell Huben, and he shared some interesting insights. He mentioned that the quality has definitely improved.

But I still can’t shake the question: why are they so pricey?

  • Question
Other  Confused old newbie here.

So, I'm 63 and not real social as in I don't do a lot of commenting or posting I just read the forum posts and classifieds. I have only been a member of the site for a few weeks now and as I said, I haven't really posted anything. I found a bottle for an FX airgun which I have been looking for since I have a Panthera Hunter and wanted to ask a few questions and possibly purchase it. However I get a notification that I must have a minimum of 10 posts and a minimum of 10 days of activity. I'm not really sure what that means? 10 posts of things for sale? 10 posts of just discussion? I have no idea what "posts" I need to be working towards not that the bottle I found won't likely be sold by then anyway. And 10 days of activity? Does that mean just browsing? Being a member of? I again am not quite sure what it is I need to do. Like I said I'm 63 and not real active on the internet so I'm kind of dumb when it comes to all this stuff. So any guidance as to what it is I need to do would be appreciated. I also have a friend who is worse than me, he doesn't have the internet but saw some things on here when I was looking at the classifieds and he had interest but I told him I would need to figure out what it is I need to do before I can help him out. So, Thank you for any help! Larry

PCP Rifle  WTS BSA R10 SE Walnut HP Thumbhole .22

UPDATED SHIPPING AS OF MARCH 6

NOW WILL AND ABLE TO SHIP WITHIN CONTINENTAL USA

BSA R10 SE Walnut HP Thumbhole .22
Upgraded to carbon fiber air tank .05 l
Accu-Shot BT10 Atlas Bipod with Picatinny Rail Mount
Upgraded Huma-Air regulator #1140 ( I have original BSA regulator )
5 -10 shot magazines
Extra o-ring replacement seal kit for BSA R10

Element Helix 6x24x50 FFP scope
I "think" the scope rings are Sport match rings, but not 100 % sure. I just know they are upgraded scope rings.

$1200

I prefer to sell to a local Northern California airgunner. I do not want to ship.
I shoot at the Diablo Rod and Gun Club in Concord California almost every Wednesday 9-12pm. I am also a RSO for the club. I'm known at my club range to split playing cards at 200 yards with my Altaros M24 and Texan LSS .257 cal. So I know what to expect from a pcp. I am only shooting long distances of 200-800 yards. So my BSA R10 will be sold to fund another long distance pcp.

I invite any buyer to test shoot the BSA on a Wednesday for Friday 9-12. You will be pleasantly surprised how well it shoots.

This BSA is probably the most accurate pcp below 100 yards that I own. I had a semi-pro airgunner and fellow club member shoot my BSA to test for accuracy at 50 yards. He commented that it's very accurate and only needs a lighter trigger adjustment for competition matches.

The rifle case is the only thing you would want to replace.
