Just looking for opinions from you folks. I'm in my mid 50's. I am seriously considering moving to a different state when I retire, probably when I'm 65-70 yrs old.

Big/small bore airgun hunting
No harsh winters
Low cost of living
and "friendly" this hobby as well as "other" hobbies that are similarly like it if you know what I mean. Semi off grid is not a deal breaker.
I'm not rich, but I'm not dirt poor either.

Shot 20 shots yesterday. Checked fill fitting, gauge adapter, and tightened the gauge 45 degrees more. Pumped back to 3,000 PSI. Well this AM gauge reads 2,300 PSI. Time to send it back?

We're having a day or 2 break from the rain here in SoCal. Sun actually shining for a while today. Went to my newest permission & watched for 3+ hours with NOTHING happening. As I was packing up I saw this Ground Squirrel sitting pretty. Quickly ranged it at 97 yards, pulled my rifle back out (Squirrel was kind enough to wait) & took this shot. FIRST kill of the new year. At least I got ONE

Just curious if anyone has modified their OEM Taipan Veteran magazines to blank off one of the holes? I’ve seen some guys are 3D printing mags with a blanked out hole. I’m thinking about making a wood plug and pressing it into one of the holes. This would indicate the mag is empty.

I went hunting the other day and got really frustrated wasting air and shots when there wasn’t any lead in the pipe. I’d rather be down a pellet than to waste a blank shot.

I have seen a number of threads recently where folks were upset with the rising costs of everything in general and shooting airguns in particular. I just wanted to share some really great news.

I have spoken at great length on various threads about how much I love the 12.5 gn 177 cal slugs. They work like magic in my AT44 and I have been more than happy with them. NSA has dropped the price of their 177 Cal slugs from $21.99 to $14.99! That comes out to less than 4 cents per slug!

I quickly ordered 8 boxes in 177 and 2 more in 22. They just arrived on my doorstep and the packaging was fantastic.

Please note that this price decrease only appears to be on the 177 Cal slugs, everything else was the usual price. There was no mention on the site that this was a sale so I have no idea how long they will be at this price.

I am surprised that my $2,000 Impact comes with such a cheap plastic fill nipple that is hard for my fingers to pull on and off...and I can't seem to find an aftermarket replacement.

Have any of you replaced it?

The owner of the ranch I came asked me to take this deer I If had the chance. He did not liked the genetics.

And the deer came to 50 yards from where I was hidden.

I waited to be a little bit facing to right in order not to hit the scapula and I made the shot. The Hades ended among the skin and the chest of the oposite side.

After the shot the deer walked 35 yards and bedded to die. I waited 25 minutes and went for it. The deer was dead.

Been looking at all the brands and models available. My head is spinning.

What is the best engineered, most reliable, lowest o-ring counts brands/models? Looking for models with 100+ FPE.

If you were prepping for an environment where no spare parts would be available, what brands/models would you choose? A second question: What is the best method for long term storage of o-rings?

Thinking about using this for all my stuff seems like an easy way to combine LPA with HPA. Looks like a pretty good approach I think; thoughts?

Been informed that my current range at brookhaven has closed the airgun part. Partly because some dumbass or two were shooting full ketchup bottles, plus some littering. Mostly, because they felt not enough money was being generated- that I can believe. Same for the occasional jack-ass shooting bottles or whatever. Only other 100 yard range is calverton- which I hear is like the wild west, I would have to shoot next to firearm rifle shooters. Are there any fun to use ranges just north of westchester, NY? say within 90 minutes of Throgs neck bridge? 2 hours tops?

Pickes this up when they came out.. thought I'd like it but I don't really care for it.. nice shooting gun just not for me it will come with a $45 adapter from donnyfl and 2 mags and o-rings also in original box.. looking to trade.. not interested in anything .177 or $250 PayPal

I just want to say right up front. My Prophet 2 shoot’s spectacular. So on that note:
A quick story about this old German auto mechanic. I met this gentleman a short time ago. He was an old mechanic that once worked on the Volkswagen assembly line. He latter moved to America and opened an automobile repair shop specializing in German vehicles. He had an opinion about German cars. He said they have two problems, “1st: they’re ugly, 2nd: they last too long.”
I can’t help to apply this in many other areas of my life.
I love to shoot my Prophet 2, but I have to be honest, I don’t find it attractive. But I love tinkering with it. I find with its low number of O-rings and its simplicity. It’s very easy to want to make changes and design new ideas. Things like the trigger, cheek rest, butt rest’s, bag rider, etc.
Next, thing on my list is improving the looks. My Prophet needs some shape. I’ve got a K&L GigE rail that I took off my Impact. Just on a whim I held it up to my Prophet. It had potential to look good. So I removed the scope and the rail and mocked it up.
Yep, improvement!
My plan is machine an adapter plate so I can mount this on my gun. I’d love to see K&L build this! But for now I guess I’ll have to make it.
