DNT TNC225R or DNT Zulus HD 5-20 with range finder

I am looking to upgrade to something a little lighter than my ATN 4K with the ABL attached. I looked at the ATN 5K with LRF refurb but it had problems so I sent it back and dont think I want to go that route. So I came across these two and wondering if its worth almost twice the price to go thermal or maybe another manufacturer in the same price range. Looking of a solid platform and no quirky bugs.

Thanks

Kral Arms  Kral back at PA

Always looking for Kral parts as I have two, a Puncher and a XS.
Came across Kral guns and parts at PA. Including the Empire XS which I have never seen sold at a US dealer before.

First Gun, Thoughts?

Hello All,
After a few months of back and forth I finally ordered my first. I need something for protecting my chicken coop and targets for sure.
I decided on the Air Venturi Avenger 25 Bullpup 2. They had a 12% off promo putting the gun less than $400.
I'm curious what the community thinks? Compared to an FX or similar this rifle seems to have 90% of the gun for 20% of the cost.
Is that a fair statement? Given my level of green, this seems like a great place to start. I guess I'm mostly just looking for some reassurance that I made a good decision.
I'm really looking forward... Thanks

FX  Not allowed suppressor - which FX DRS Tac calibre and barrel length will be quietest?

In my country (Australia) we are not allowed suppressors.

I'm about to purchase an FX DRS Tac, for shooting rabbits within 50m.

What would be the best calibre and barrel length combo, for the FX DRS Tac, for the two priorities below?

Main priority: as quiet as possible (without a suppressor).

Secondary Priority: smallest chance of ricochets (have neighbours properties about 400m away, and during summer, the soil on my property drys out and is almost as hard as rock)

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Reflecting of an old friend on Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day, I find myself reflecting in an old friend. A gentleman that was once a service man him self. He showed a very high level of respect for service people. This included military, police officers, firefighters, ambulance drivers most every type of first responder you could imagine. Many times, I’d watch this friend of mine go out of his way to approach strangers that were in a uniform. Just to address them with a thank you for their services. Extending his hand to shake their hand, showing them his highest gratitude.
Though this friend was not in an extreme airgunnner. He was one of my biggest fans. He always wanted to see pictures of what I’d shot that weekend or hear about the events I was attending. He always gave me a hard time about not needing to eat of the varmints. And always complimented me for my accuracies.
One year we were having an Epidemic of muskrats on the pond. Every other day, I would come into work. Tell my friend how another muskrat had fallen. He always give me a hard time about not putting them in the freezer and saving them for a lean day. I had always joked with him that I was making him a pair of muskrat leather gloves for a cold winter day.
My friend was especially good at taking old broken stuff apart and fixing it with next nothing for cost. He’d often times scorn me for buying a new switch for my old Bronco rather than just taking the switch apart and fixing it. He always said the stuff had to be built somewhere why can’t you fix it.
On this Memorial Day, I find myself doing just what he would have done. Taking an 35 year old leaking pressure switch off my compressor, part clean all the gunk out of it, resealing it and putting it back together finding myself with a compressor that functions properly with no leak.

My friend passed away a few years ago. But not before he was the guy with terminal cancer who made the 10pm news waving a USA flag up on a bridge for a fallen firefighter as his funeral came by. He died a couple of months after that.

On this Memorial Day I hope you can remember an old friend like I have. Let there memories feel you up and share your experiences.

PCP Rifle  NLA Like New Vulcan 3 .30 cal trade for .177 compact (something a bit lighter)

When I bought my Vulcan 3 I also bought my wife one. Her Vulcan 3 is also 30 caliber but only has about 120 - 150 rounds through it. Big mistake. We bought them to take out in the field but she is only 5'3" and it's just too much for her to lug around. Will trade for something a bit lighter than the Vulcan 3 like a compact Airmaks Katran, Krait, Uragan 2...open to offers just want a .177 roughly equal value. The Vulcan 3 is like new, been to the range 3 times and out in the field once. Unlike mine that I've put over 5000 slugs mine lol

Still stock settings, never messed with it, came tuned from Talon Tunes.

This is the Vulcan with my better half shooting her (1 of the 3 times it's been to the range)

HPA Compressor Crossroads…?🙈

My Hatsan Lightning has served me well until today. Was filling my SCBA from 2800 to 4000 psi, when the following started happening at 3500 psi. The on/off switch started smoking and before I knew it there was smoldering coming from it and the other switches. Once before through vibration, I believe the on/off switch caused me problems and I replaced it. This time around all the switches will need to be rewired. Frankly, I will try and fix it but am done… I have enough air in my two SCBAs for a few weeks, judiciously using my Pathfinder, the Ghost will have to wait. Both my Atomics I can fill from a hand pump so am good there. The irony is that I had directed filled all my PCPs today with zero issues. If I get the Lightning running again it will only be for direct fills.

My question to you fellow members is do I buy a direct fill compressor, or bite the bullet and get something like the Daystate 4500psi Super Leggero 110v Air Compressor. And though it is pricey, it is not much more than some of the PCPs currently on the market. I understand it utlimately my decision. But am seeking the thoughts and opinions of those who may see it differently. Two of my PCPs required a HPA compressor, two do not. I suspect the Atomics are going to see more use until I can make up my mind. First world problems, Oy!

Abstract painting with the Zelos

Did some abstract painting with the Zelos and some paintballs today.
30 yds, shooting paintballs in front of white poster paper. There's a dime in the first pic for scale.
Shot the red target dot first to check zero then started picking off the paintballs and little animals.
Much fun!

Daisy  Daisy Avanti 753W Elite Competition- Information wanted.

I recently picked up this Daisy Avanti 753W. New old stock. Trigger was horrible. Over 10 pounds. Did the complete trigger job which included a adjustment screw added for sear engagement. Now 12 ounces with no creep. Could go even lighter. Accuracy is outstanding. On a calm day it will bust aspirin tablets at 40 yards. (Using 7 grain RWS Hobby) This one loves these pellets better that RWS R10’s. Most accurate gun I’ve owned since the Diana 75 and FWB 300. I’m trying to find out the year of production. Maybe July 2004? This one has the cast metal pumping lever. Not the plastic one on current models. I am also wondering when Daisy started making the plastic pumping lever. And if the plastic lever holds up. I have mounted a scope on this one but would like another one for the Diopter. Any help is welcome. Opinions on one you might own.

Would you like a rifle combo, that shoots one CLEAN hole? YOU get to give your thoughts on how to price it!

I've told many people, get someone in front of me, and I'm good at explaining the features of an airgun, to the point they might want to buy it. But as for MARKETING, (getting the information out to the general public), I'm not nearly as good. Case in point: These rifles are the best kept secret in the airgun world, and they shoot AT LEAST as good, if not BETTER than ANY of our very expensive rifles at TopGun-Airguns.

Each Saturday, a customer will come in, asking for an inexpensive rifle for ratting, plinking, etc.. And each Saturday a person walks out the door with a big smile on their face. They'll shoot a one hole group at my 20 yard range that looks like one single shot and love the rifle/scope combo.

So, what do I gotta do to get these in front of people that will test them, and report back on a forum? They've got EXCELLENT reviews from Rick Rehm, I just need some people interested in them. What kind of offer do I need to do, to get people to buy one and report back? A certain percentage discount? Put their review on my AirGun Scientist channel? Post your ideas below. Before you say, GIVE a rifle to someone, and they do a post on it, that just isn't worth it, or I'd do it.

So what is the brand: Zbroia, a European company known for quality rifles. Now they make 3.5 different variations of PCP rifles and bullpups. The Hortizia rifle, the Sapsan Bullpup, the Kozak semi-bullpup, and the KozakFC (Fully Compact/True Bullpup). All of these rifles have barrels made in-house that are of SUPERB quality! Like I said, one hole groups that often look like a single pellet. All but the Sapsan are only $895 or $985 and are available in .177 or .22. The Sapsan is a bit more, and available in .177, .22, .25, and .30 Cal.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that THESE RIFLES WILL NOT DOUBLE LOAD!!! This is REALLY nice when I am hunting, and I forget if I loaded a pellet into the chamber! Not even my very expensive rifles can make that claim!
To put the best bang for the buck, I top it off with the Element Helix FFP 6-24x. These scopes are FANTASTIC and a very good price!

Right now, until Tuesday evening, we are offering our 10% coupon off EVERYTHING! BTW, This is the day to get that Carette Compressor and save over $200!!!

The suppressor shown is our in-house, made in USA suppressor called the Air Control. It is 2.7 dB quieter than the quietest suppressors available. (3 dB is a factor of 2x).

The Kozak Gen 2 are $989.95 . The Helix is $480 for a total of either 1469.95 - 10% Memorial Coupon ( TGAG10% ) = $1322.96
The Kozak Gen 1 are only $874.99. The Helix is $480 for a total of either 1354.99 - 10% Memorial Coupon ( TGAG10% ) = $1219.49

That's the price of a laser combo!

All Zbroia can be found here: https://www.topgun-airguns.com/?s=Zbroia&post_type=product

FX  Impact M4 Accuracy Help Needed

Last Saturday I got a new Impact M4 Sniper. Having a little trouble figuring it out. Shooting JSB 25.39 pellets. At 15 yards, 3 shots go in the same exact hole consistently. At 25 yards right at 1/4" groups At 50 yards I fired a complete 28 shot magazine and all shots were inside 5/8". Went to 75 yards and groups now look like they came out of a shotgun......6 to 7 inch groups. Appears the pellets are losing stability between 50 and 75 yards, what to do?

This is my first attempt at airguns, a whole new experience for me. I have been shooting rimfire and centerfire benchrest for 45 years and am a reasonably proficent shooter. Would truly appreciate some help with the longer distance accuracy issues.

When I was shooting yesterday afternoon, the sky was cloudy, (no mirage issues) wind was very calm, temp was around 70 degrees. Essentially a near perfect day for dialing in a new gun.

Thanks so much in advance,
Steve
