I am looking to get a scope somewhere in this price range. I'd like to get something like an Arken or Athlon Midas Tac type scope?

How does one go about determining how much an item is worth that they would like to sell?

In 2-3 months i m getting a second rifle as my local range expands to 200/300/400 meters so i m starting doing my homework.

I have a gauntlet2 .30 that shoots fine out to 100 meters but i d like something else for longer range.

Budget is around 1500$, must be .25cal and must have a magazine,otherwise i would have already got a texan. I will only be using slugs,so no chocked barrels. Bonus if it s tactical form factor.

*When i m saying powerful,i mean in relation with flatter "bullet" trajectory.

I d like to hear your suggestions,apart from FX guns as i already did my research on them and tried them from others at the range.

So why the picture of a magnifying glass? HOW ABOUT WHAT IT IS.....SEARCH. N0 pics for anything else so why a pic instead of SEARCH.

Specifically a question about the open sights on this rifle, I find the open sights to be VERY difficult to use when aiming at targets with a dark background and in poor lighting (like is more often than not on the hunting conditions) my question is does anyone have a solution to this problem without adding any weight to the rifle? I want to use this gun in hunt settings and don't want to carry any extra weight around for hours on end. I just want to find out if others have rectified this problem without changing the stock sights, just making altercations to what we have.

After having a defective FFP version of this scope, I decided to give it another try so this time I went with the SFP scope and wanted to do it justice and say it's great. Clarity is very good, initial tracking check looked good, parallax change doesn't change poi. I noticed the parallax knob has SER screws and can be calibrated and changed. So I took my rangefinder and without looking at the distance on the knob but just making adj til no parallax error and to my surprise from 10 to 100yds was dead on with the markings. Nice attention to detail. My only complaint and a minor one at that, is the narrow fov, but I'm getting use to that.

I picked up a P17 from Pyramid Air a couple of weeks ago and took it for a spin today. Out of the box I was hitting tin cans today at twenty yards this morning. Great little pistol and well worth the $45. If you are looking for a reasonably priced shooter, give this one a look! Very fun and seems to like every pellet I have tried.

Finally our weather and my time cooperated and I got a free couple hours to get out and shoot.
Had dialed in my FPS to 880 here in the garage, live in NW Oregon and don't like cold rain, for some JSB 18's and going to try FX 18's as well. So mid 50's and no rain and out I go to my shooting place. Thought I had things figured out and was going to get all dialed in. NOT!!
With an 8mph wind groups at 50 were quarter size, I'm thinking not bad but why did I have to make scope adjustments? Hum... go out to 75 and groups opened up 1 1/2" or so and drifting left. To be expected but something wasn't right, hook up the FX chrony and "what" my power is 50fps slow!! Can't be I'm the only one that touches the gun, what in the world is going on. Cranked it back up to 886 from 830ish and things felt right again.
Now I've lurked and read a lot around here and know that Temps can make a difference on speed etc. but that much I didn't realize. I have to say though this Cricket II Tactical 45 is shooting very sweet, chrony only read two numbers 886 and 888! I'll take that consistency for two full mags. From now on I'm checking speed at the beginning and not waiting and wondering for an hour lol. Of course soon as I figured this out here comes a shower to shut me down and now it's till next time.
Lesson learned was, Temps can make a difference and ck ur speed when you haven't been out of the garage in awhile and save possible confusion, well at least for a bone head like me

I have a like new HW44 pistol with the 2x20 Weihrauch scope. Purchased at AOA a while ago and it has just been sitting in my safe. I really don't have a use for it with 2 bullpup pcp rifles. It has 2 magazines. It has no signs of use. I did obtain a leak in one of the gaskets from just sitting, so I paid to have AOA replace all new seals in the gun. .22 caliber. $750

Just taking clue from another post here, what is the sense of referencing MOA accuracy for a rifle if your shooting is less than a 100 yards? With that reasoning I can shoot my air rifle at 25 yards and if I shoot say a 0.1 inch group my rifle would be considered a 0.1 MOA accuracy riffle?Please let's be serious, for me, when referencing MOA accuracy for a rifle, the testing is done at 100 yards. Not 50, not 10 not 75.

I am looking at an AEA in the classifeds, ad while researching came accross a video where the presenter was shooting at 1100+ FPS and wanted to slow it down. Why slow it down, is there an optimal window for FPS.

First post. Just set up my "know your limits" at 100 yards. 6"-1" ding plates. Took two shots to gauge the wind, and nailed them all with my 177 avenger! Now i haven't been able to repeat it but the wind did pick up and i was able to make it to the 2" target on my second attempt.

Ok what an adventure this has been.
First off I want to apologize because I pissed of some people a month ago when I posted a mystery title about a gun I couldn't review or reveal because I was asked to do so by AOA until the manufacturer did the official release in the US. As many had guessed at the time it was the pathfinder. Now that I had it for a while I can share some of my thoughts.
Well I am gonna say this relationship has been through waves, through it's ups and downs.
First impressions were not so good. The rifle cost around $1800 and you don't even get a hard plastic case? Come on BRK you can do better than that. Then the regulator came preset from the factory at 165 witch I thought it was a bit on the high side and would be wasting air.
Before I continue the write up here is a picture finally of the gun of how it was " dressed " today at the " range"

My lady asked what I wanted to do after work(like usual)
I said I want to go shooting,...you wanna go?...

I don't give a dang if it blowing like crazy; we are going shooting today!

Out for my bike ride a few days ago I noticed a safe dumped on the side of the road. I’m not sure if it was stolen or just dumped. The door was gone but there is no sign of damage. It had no serial numbers or contents so I made the trip back with the car and brought it home.

The owner must have kept his cologne collection in it. The smell was potent. Guess if he was going to be impotent he may as well smell impotent.

Anyway, it now has 25lbs of duct seal in it and is set up as a target box at 25 meters.

Something got in the coop last night and killed 2 roosters it's my fault I fell asleep on the couch and forgot to close to door but the predator has to die tonight so I'm getting my 22cal dialed in at 25 yards

Has anyone found a way to lighten the Crosman Challenger trigger pull weight? I've adjusted the two set screws in harmony but it only changes the first and second stage position of where the trigger breaks. Mine is really heavy close to 6 pounds and I would like to adjust it in the single digit ounce range if that is possible? If you have been down this road please share what you did to achieve that lower pull weight.
