More Patchworm Patches

Hey guys, I know there are other methods to clean a barrel and that people use string trimmer line for a makeshift patchworm line and you can tie a regular string up with a loop at the end to hold a rectangular patch but alternate cleaning methods is not the subject here.

I have run out of the circular patches that came in my big patchworm kit (both dry and Ballistol soaked), I tried using the Allen Brand Patches but when I poke the patchworm line through the Allen patch and go to use it, the line just opens up the poked hole and the line goes through leaving the patch at the breech...

So my question is this:

Anyone know a different patch I could use that won't tear off when pulling it through? If only the actual patchworm brand patches work, then where do I get more of those?

I have a cleaning rod but I like the patchworm design because I don't have to go from the muzzle end like the rod, even though that works well with the Allen patches (slide rod down gently, put patch on at breech, pull back gently with patch on).

Hey guys, can someone help ? Recently i bought FX Wildcat mk3 BT in .22 cal with 600mm barrel,480 cc bottle and tried to set it up for slugs and pellets.
Unfortunately i cant get over 900 fps with pellets (JSB Hades 15.89 grain) ,ive set first reg to 170bar,second one to 140bar and adjusted power wheel screw.
Now its on settings 1 - 7 something like 700-900fps ,but i cant get over that.Any ideas would be really appreciated.Sorry for the scuffed english :)

Resetting spinner type target

I recently purchased a spinner type target with four discs that flip up when shot and can be knocked down by hitting a separate disc. It was designed for rimfire, so the discs are reasonably heavy / thick and seems like it will hold up to abuse.

I know this is a problem that I can solve, but I figure somebody else might have already come up with a quick solution.

My problem is the spinners don’t stay up once they are hit. They either bounce off the stop bar and return to position, or if I do get one to flip up and stay up, it usually falls down when I hit the next spinner.

The trap has supports that can work at different angles - I have tried tilting the whole apparatus towards the shooting position so the the spinners would be more horizontal when flipped over and less likely to tip back when the next spinner is hit. This made it possible to get one disc to stay, but it always gets knocked down with the next hit.

I am shooting some pretty high-powered Air Force guns at or a bit below .22 LR energy levels at about 30 yds. I could always try a lower powered gun, but I shouldn’t need to I would assume.

if I can’t get them to stay by adjusting the angle, I was figuring maybe something to add a little friction where each disk connects to the axle so everything doesn’t jiggle around so much when I get a good hit.

or maybe I just got a poorly designed target on some level…

Any tips on how to quickly get this to work?

Brand Spanking New HW95/98 .177 power numbers?

Hello all. Getting some conflicting information. Brand new Weihrauch HW98 .177 arrived from AoA. Test sheet shows 5 shot avg. @ 11.7 fpe(JSB 8.44 @792fps). I was expecting a bit more pep from a full power export. AoA assured me this was correct, and a non FAC rifle would be 8.5-9fpe. Anyone have chrony numbers/info to share on a stock 95/98 .177 rifles? Thought I had a pretty good grasp on the powerplant. Maybe the piston seal needs shot in? Thanks for any information.

Benjamin Prod Bullpup

Prod Bullpup 06.25.23.jpgProd Bullpup with LDC.jpgProd Grip Storage.jpgProd Trigger Group.jpgProd Bag.jpg

Im selling a hard to find Prod Bullpup. It’s a Benjamin Prod (.22) in a Rapid -70 Bullpup kit. The Bullpup kit alone was over $350. It is high quality metal and is very well designed. There is no slop in the trigger. This kit came with the factory installed front Picatinny rail. I added a front grip that works perfect when in open and closed position. This is important because it keeps any fingers well away from the front of the barrel. I added a rubber pistol grip so I don’t feel any metal or plastic. The grip has storage for 2 magazines (included). It comes with a Tatsu LDC and UTG Leapers Inc 1-8x28mm 30mm MRC Scope. It all makes for a great combination. At only 20” long, it is extremely compact and with the case included, it makes for the perfect Truck gun. The original parts come with it in case you want to have both configurations.

$575.00 Shipped.

Crosman 1701 Pistol with Minimalist Folding Stock.

1701T Folding TDR1.jpg1701 with Folding Stock.jpg

Here is the build: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/my-1701-suburban-silhouette-sniper-is-almost-done.1284524/

Im selling my favorite suburban shooter. IMHO, the 1701 (.177) is not appreciated as much and does not get the attention it deserves. So, inspired by the AA S410 TDR, I wanted to build a low power deadly accurate compact rifle for use in a suburban area that can be easily packed for when I go on local hikes. It took a while to find a light folding stock, but I found a minimalist MLEE folding stock that is hard to find ($125). The rifle is only 19" long when folded. You cut down the shroud to lose another 4" inches. I am using a 1720T shroud to keep things deadly quiet. It comes with modded 1720T furniture. The wood butt plate needs to be secured. It has one screw hole to secure it but can use a second screw or glue it to secure it. There is a scratch on the air tube from a previous shroud that was used. It comes with a Crosman Red Dot. This is the easiest rifle for me to shoot offhand without it being front heavy, even with the folding stock.

Priced to Sell: $425 Shipped.

Air Arms S200 (.177)

AA200 orings and Stock remonal tool.jpg

For sale is perhaps my most sexiest rifle. It is a Air Arms s200 (.177) rifle professionally painted in a polished gloss black finish. The rifle is incredibly accurate as expected and the trigger is wonderful as well. The stock and rifle is in fantastic shape, I don't see any marks on the rifle or the stock other than the bottom where the stock screw is located and a small scratch on the air tube. It is a single feed. It has a Mac 1 moderator that will need to be heated on to the barrel if you want it to be deadly mouse fart quiet. It also has that hard-to-find stock removal tool. It comes with a set of O-rings, and the fill port. It is the perfect Suburban back yard shooter and ready for Field target. It comes with a BSA TMD 6x24x44 scope, mounts, SF wheel, and sunshade.

Priced to sell: $575.00 shipped.

Traditional Rifle  NLA WTS: Beeman R10 - $325 REDUCED

Beeman R10 – Huntington Beach

tE4SCU5l.jpg

Up for sale is a sweet shooting R10 that I have had since 2017. Only the action was purchased off the old forum that shared the same color as the sun. This has been my go-to pest gun but I always had bigger ambitions of using it as an HFT rig. Sadly, life keeps getting in the way and I need to sell it. The R10 has always been very accurate as long I do my part. Not too much kick and easy to cock. I put a Vortek spring and seal in it after purchase. I just ran it over the chrony and noticed the seal was a bit flat so I just changed it. It did not do anything to speed, but it tightened up a bit.

UPDATE: 07/09/2023
Swapped out some components and FPS
is at 805 average ~12.5 FPE

Here was the first string: 757.3, 760.5, 754.2, 759.2, 769.8, 752.9, 749.5, 770.8, 762.5, 758.3 avg 759.5 / 21.24 / 6.7

After changing the seal I had 7 shots all in the 750 – 757 range.

The stock has a Morgan adjustable pad installed, and I have the original if you want it.

The pictures should show that she is not a safe queen, but overall good condition. The stock is not original to the gun as I used to have a fancy FT stock that is the picture in my avatar. There is a good scratch on the breech side of the barrel, and a brand new ding in the top of the stock.

u33Lsikm.jpg

k16qvAWm.jpg

The targets were shot at 30 yards. The first was on a Caldwell bean bag supporting the front of the stock, The other groups were from HFT stool and sticks. These shots were taken on 06/30 after putting the scope back on, walking out to the porch, and shooting. I did not re-zero the scope. (.5815" if you can't read the calipers)

0sIe92jl.jpg

I am asking $425 (NEW PRICE $325) for the gun which will include shipping and insurance in the CONUS only. Paypal F&F or add 3%, Apple pay or we can work it out. Please send me a PM with any questions and contact info and I will text you back. I will include a new tin of HN FTT 8.6 4.51 pellets, which I feel provide the best accuracy. Please note they are not the reject pellets I bought from a retailer who does not know how to ship pellets!

eSlv0oRm.jpg

I also have the Bushnell Legend 5 – 15 scope that I will include with the gun for an additional $75. The scope is great, but very hard to turn at certain distances. I was going to take a chance on Bushnell’s repair lottery but decided not to. Glass is great and as long as you are not constantly changing distances it is not an issue.

I used to buy and sell a lot of airgun stuff on the old forum under the same user name I have now.

Thanks for looking.

I will also be listing a HW 97 with the 25mm tube wrapped in a beautiful Maccari stock, and a 2400KT (SOLD!)

BRK Pathfinder XR in da house…

Got this little beastie today, just before the holiday weekend. Got home, unboxed it, slapped on my Athlon Helos and proceeded to sight her in at 25 yards. First magazine up JSB Exact Jumbo 18s. Four shots to sight her in and dumped the next seven into that first group. Then shot the two CPHPs groups, the first three groups were with the TP on high, the last CPHP group with TP on mid. Then proceeded to hit back to back those pictured husks at 50 yards… This is straight from the box, the trigger is still very stiff and needs lightening and will loosen up over time. Bipod front, fist rear, this little PCP is thrilling me, it handles much lighter than it looks. More to come.

FX  Panthera compact hunter .25 Cal…. My experience.

Just received the rifle.

Micro adjustment arrived at 2.75 aprox.

Tank manometer arrived at 150 bar and regulator manometer at 122 bar.

When the right hand is in the grip, the right wrist is touching the rear bottle.

The hard case sent with the rifle is very good.

Even with a heavy scope the rifle feels light.

This rifle has a very adjustable “stock” that allows a good position of the eye on regard of the scope with adequate eye relief.

HW/Weihrauch  New HW35E on the way!

I've just ordered a new HW35E today to go with my three HW30S and HW50S and was wondering what the cocking effort of the HW35E compared to the other two? To me the HW50S is only a bit more than the HW30S's. No big deal just wondering while waiting on delivery. Charles

Looking for a 22 that's not a barrel breaker, or PCP.

Greetings from a very small patch of red in Washington State.
I've about gone blind viewing various reviews on youtube looking for an accurate 22 air rifle. I ended ordering a gamo swarm magnum 10x gen 3i and after a week sent it back. I could never get a group under 6" with it, had a lot of failure to load, and cocking was a real pain. I suspect the scope that came with it is the real problem. The PCP rifles look great, but I'm a 100 miles from any dive shop, and 6,000 psi nitrogen cylinders are spendy; Ditto good compressors. I'm' only after knocking down a few starlings, crows, or garden raiding rabbits, but I want to do it cleanly which means accuracy and enough power for clean kills.
The Diana 48 has my interest as does the Alpine PCP/Pumper. Diana looks to be a good product, not so much the Alpine in terms of lifespan.

So, I realize this is a Ford vs. Chevy vs. Fiat sort of truck question but what's your suggestion?
A 22 around the $500 and under that can be pumped up, or single stroked but not a break barrel.
I'd also like to stay away from anything coming out of China.

Thanks all, and have a safe and wonderful 4th!

Slugs are getting heavier and heavier…

…that's why we're introducing a light one, the new H&N Slug HP .177 10 grain!

Not too long ago we developed and released the H&N Slug HP in various weights for friends of the .177 caliber.

Since then we received many requests for an even lower weight version. We followed the call and are proud to present you the H&N Slug HP .177 in 10 grain.
  • The hollow point and base save weight but make the slug long enough to ensure good guidance in the barrel.
  • Due to its light weight, this slug is perfect for lower powered air rifles (>12 ft-lb).
  • Exact diameter: .1775 / 4.51 mm
  • Tin count: 400 pcs.
Production has just started, availability depends on transport time to your retailer (e.g. Europe 3-4 weeks, USA 3 months)

We wish you a nice summer time (or winter time if you live in the southern hemisphere)!
