EBR Update

Just an update on Extreme Benchrest Arizona. Top Daystate shooter Fady Kiwan has just posted what is the highest score at 75 yards in its 12 year history, so he is all set for the 100 yards final today. Fady won the World Benchrest Champoinships last month with a BRK Ghost, but for this comp, fady has chosen to use a bit more tech in the form of a Daystate Alpha Wolf. :)

Air Arms  FPS WITH YOUR TX200 MKIII

This past Spring I installed Vortek PG4 SHO kit in my TX200 .22 cal. It's shooting great on the range, from a bag at both 25 and 50 yards, as well as for general plinking. My question is, finally, when you chronograph your TX200, what sort of FPS are you getting? I chronographed my rifle most recently in the 645 fps range using JSB 15.86 and AA 16 grain pellets. In the past I thought I'd remembered shooting closer to the 750 fps range. Maybe I remember wrong, after all, I'm older than . . . well, I forgot that too. Anyhow, share what your TX200 MKIII in .22 cal is doing. Thanks, Orv.

FX  Impact M3 replacing first reg gauge

Anyone replace their first reg gauge? I have an extra digital gauge that I would like to put on there but the original gauge comes with 2 O-rings and a brass washer. There is no X-ring inside like the other gauge ports. Since there is no X-ring the gauge has to be tightened all the way to seal and that leaves the gauge orientation crooked. Has anyone just used an X-ring instead? Or any ideas how to get the gauge straightened out?

N/A  Quality big bore also capable of taking deer?

This discussion started in a thread in the hunting forum. However I didn't really want to hijack their thread too much. I also tried searching through the forums but many were older threads.

Yesterday at work in the woods we were talking airguns again. They were surprised at overall how quiet they were. The discussion moved to deer hunting. Many were impressed that people hunt with them too (although Ohio currently doesn't allow for it) . I'd never considered big bores much but its gotten me looking into them and trying to learn about them. They also are getting curious about them.

I've not had the opportunity to see a big bore rifle in person yet, let alone shoot one. I know it takes more air to push larger projectiles so they tend to be louder than smaller calibers. However what are some quieter models as thats a big draw to air rifles for myself and others. I certainly want to avoid the noise levels of powder burner if possible. Are suppressors viable on big bore rifles?

Price aside, as I don't mind paying more for quality, IF theres a difference and improvement in fit finish and performance, what big bore air rifles would you recommend? What are some that have the capability for taking deer? (state laws aside as I know that varies) Are there any you would avoid and why?

User Cheplicki replied in the other thread:

I would recommend a bulldog in 357 or 45.. more then enough power and you can keep the sound down.. air-force Texan and AEA element 457 would be a great gun.. I would avoid really long guns if you're trying to keep the sound down because u will have a 6ft rifle after you add a suppressor lol.. there are a lot of great deer guns out there but it all depends on what you want to spend..

I appreciate any other suggestions or insights.

Other  Tequila Pistol micro mini review

Firstly I'm going to admit I'm doing destructive testing on it, not intentionally but it's how it's working out. Just a bunch of stupid errors on my part. To save others from the same fate. Xoloti aka Alfonso is very gracious about sending me parts.

Mike VV gave a great report of the mechanics, I'm only going to add that the fit and finish is excellent.

My trigger is currently 2#4oz, easily adjustable but i'm leaving it alone for now.

For the first 20 shots, 2 mags, I averaged 7.1 fps deviation. using .22 14.3gr Crosman HP's at 9 yards

Center is the first ten so #21 though 31 out of the gun

Top left is the next 10 Top right is the next 10 coming off of the regular at 2000psi Front rest only using a red-dot, with a Donny FL Tanto, still makes a touch of noise.

This is going to be a fun gun to play with.IMG_2350.jpegTequilia Gunjpeg.jpeg

Need a little help....Evanix Cloud Ultra

I have a "New To Me" Evanix Cloud Ultra in .25 caliber that has sprung a leak. It seems to be coming from somewhere in the area between grip and the portion

where the back of the rifle meets. Its circled in my pics. Haven't seen any videos on how to disassemble/reassemble this rifle nor how to replace O-Rings and the such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx guys

Added a Texan to my line up.... .257 named Freak.

I scored this .257 off the classifieds on Wednesday and had Tom at High Pressure Pneumatics ship everything else NDA and it all arrived in less than 24 hours!

I had been itching to shoot it and I wasn't waiting for the rain today so I took Freak out to zero her.

Well, I forgot my Allen wrenches so I literally had zero elevation adjustment and was using the top of the ep5 reticle at 25 and 100 yards 🤯🤪😅

That didn't stop me from testing and tuning though, the @alkincompressors kept everything tight with an es of 7 fps while slinging these beautiful 85 grain #avsslugs boat tails at 975 fps for 180 fpe.

The first group was during the tuning, the far left was figuring the hold at 100. The second group of 4 speaks for itself.

Sub Half moa at 100 yards lolol. 😳

It is hold sensitive but I like it. It's like she's talking to me. Needless to say...

Freak is a killer and it's time to take her the distance

Scope temperature shift fixes

I know scope shift temp changes happen with many brands of scopes which affects ranging and poi changes. How do you guys try to alleviate this as much as you can? I know trying to keep gun out of direct sunlight but that's not always possible. Cavedweller mentioned putting a white towel over it and he said it helped there in Alabama where it gets pretty hot like here in OK.

What else helps with this? Do you just figure out the temp range that it occurs and how much?

Or just get a scope that doesn't have that issue?

Thanks
Jon

Diana  Diana BANDIT with chaser combo?

Hello everyone first of all I am happy to join this forum it's my pleasure to be a member of this community
This topic is long sorry for this in advance

My name is Hani I am from Oman I already have Diana chaser combo that came with stock and longer barrel
I like the gun it's very fun and accurate but the co2 affect by weather and also it's expensive in my country the one 12g co2 cartridge cost $1 so I am thinking of getting the bandit (PCP) since I figured out they're same fit in stock so I can put the bandit in chaser stock with shoulder also the long barrel from the chaser can fit in bandit good rifle combo
And the PCP fill coat is $7 for 9L cylinder ( already have my brother owned the cylinder) !! I am wondering how many times fill the bandit 50 cc tank from 9L cylinder
So
Can this worth it? I mean I like PCP pistol for light weight and also cheaper options for my country since is the bandit is cheaper PCP gun only cost $200 and+ fit in chaser body
So my question is
Is worth to upgraded from chaser to bandit since the co2 cost more than PCP charge
I mean I am looking for more power and stable shots
Also I found PCP hand pump ( cost $65 came with extra o rings parts) is it good? I mean what the life cycle of PCP hand pump?

Hunting Iguanas With PJ! Awesome time with a friend

Hi all,

Few weeks ago I had the opportunity and honor to share a hunting day with a friend for the first time. I've known PJ for years but the relationship has been virtual lol.

Finally after years this happened. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did!

Thanks for watching

N/A  Scope for HW50?

I have several guns setup for field target and am kind of programmed for 16x to 50x and big, long and heavy scopes. That ain't gonna work on my HW50! Want a scope that has 3-4x on low end and at least 12x, preferably 16x plus on high end. Fully aware I don't need a scope above 7-9x but set in my ways, old guys are like that. Not going to spend more on scope than I paid for gun, most of my field target scopes cost more than gun but the HW50 is a now and then shooter. Due to HW50 recoil, is etched glass reticle a must? Need some suggestions. I am considering these but looking for suggestions. Hawke 3x9 Airmax (not 12x but might work)
UTG 3x12 or 4x16 swat etched glass reticle
3x9 Leupold efr, same as Hawke, Thanks, Don

Benjamin  Wanting to try a nicer air rifle in PCP. Received new Kratos

Very first post here so please bear with me. I am not new to air guns but will be new to an accurate PCP rifle. I love accuracy and I am all about small groups and could care less about power as I have a safe full of rifles for various applications. I strive for small groups reloading for my rifles and trying various components. I am also a bullet caster for my pistols. I love to open the basement door lying prone and plink around at what ever I find. I have a metal swinging target 27yds from my basement door across the creek that sees regular 22lr use. The Gamo spring gun just doesn't cut it. I have been looking at the Kratos very hard as a wood stock is much preferred for me. Airgun revisions sells Benjamin certified slug shooters for just a few bucks more at around $600. I'm not after any bullpup rifles but I might. Pryamyd has 20% off Crossman as well right now. So, wood stock, rifle length, pretty accurate, and decent quality is what I'm after. Honestly the $500-700 range is where I'm at as after a decent scope, rings, bipod and what ever else I'll be a grand or more. I am a Chief at the local fire department so I have full access to the 6000psi air system and probably have some out of date Scott tanks laying around somewhere. I have heard of people putting sweet syrup on targets and busting bees. Sounds like fun.

Thanks guys.

PCP Rifle  NLA Wildcat gen1 .25 (Price drop)

I have Wildcat gen1 in .25 that has been tuned by Derek Wall. The man himself tuned this monster at 60 ft-lbs for almost 30 shots. The action is smooth as butter and a light quick throw. Was going to use it in the speed event at EBR but AOA only invites cool people. The wildcat is Huma regulated, power tuned, tungsten hammer, and has an extended shroud that takes out the bark out. Will come with three mags, four mag holders, and probe. The gun is very clean except for two holes on the forend where the prior owner installed a cheap picatiny rail. Asking $700 shipped CONUS. Scope and rings not included. Prefer PP FF but you'll cover G&S. I'll except PO MO from established members.
