Airgun Technologies  Mainspring Deformation

Everyone knows it, some mainsprings are utterly deformed, really bent and the coils compressed. This always seems to occur at the rear end.
I don't quite understand why some airgun models or airgun/spring combinations seem to regularly do that while othes don't. It doesn't seem to be caused by a not perfectly fitting spring guide but (to my suspicion) very probably occur when the spring is near or in fact coilbound when cocked.
For instance the humble and cheap Diana 48 mainspring doesn't droop or get bent in the 52, the 35c and the HW85 neither. Though the spring guide is not perfectly fitting, leaving about 0.7 mm clearance.
But any mainspring I insert into the HW 35 is strongly compressed and bent after some shoots. And the guide fit is tighter.
Does anyone know better?

So spring quailty isn't it most probably, spring guide neither, neither grease sleeve for the 52 has no sleeve at all but the spring remains straight and long.

N/A  What PCP Rifle To Get? (powerfull, semiauto, reliable)

Hi guys, i need some help please.

have been looking around now for weeks to see what pcp rifle to get. Main goal is to have some fun with it, but in case the zombie apocalypse comes, il be ready!

Ideally its semi auto, high power and reliable.

I have been looking at the leshiy 2 9mm, AEA Terminator / S45, Some of the huben rifles etc.

i also live in the EU so need to be able to buy it here, seen a few nice rifles that only seem to be available in the USA.

im kind of thinking about the leshiy, but the price is insane at lik 4.2k.

any ideas welcome guys! thanks for the help.

Huben  Finally happy with the GK1 setup

After much tinkering and testing, pleased with how my Huben GK1 is setup now. One of the first things I made awhile ago was the fill port insert. Then I was looking for a RDS solution that didn't require me to drill/tap and the factory push tab loading setup had to go. I ended up wrapping my impulse moderator to give it a little more of a subtle look. Very happy with how this gem is setup. .25 cal Hades at 800fps has made for some very enjoyable shooting!

Sidenote, this pistol needs to come with a warning about ammo consumption. I've shot it every day over the last month and a half!

When someone has to ask, what is a meaningful post I think ,

is this person worth reading? This forum is about airguns and related equipment.
I would think a person would at least find something worth sharing airgun-related, like DA....oh double-action:unsure:
Maybe the guy is just here to sell his airgun because he actually does not want the airgun, well so what?

community is about sharing and with that hopefully comes Trust.
That 10-post requirement helps US.

Is shipping airguns to Puerto Rico legal?

YES, Gents, it is legal, with no restrictions at all, of any kind. And the best and most effective way is to use USPS Priority with insurance, of course. Additionally, airgun accesories or parts that fit into prepaid Priority boxes, up to 80 lbs., can be sent with same fixed rates as stateside, including Hawaii & Alaska, we are part the USA, you know. Over the past 15 years or so I've purchased from and sold stateside no less than 20 airguns using the USPS and have had "0" problems, period. Must mention this was done through USPS mayor post offices, not any of the smaller licensed post offices that are also in use. The only "none-guns" prohibited from importation are "blank guns" & their ammunition. Firearms, of course, are prohibited. Use of other shipping alternatives such as Fedex, DHL, UPS, is impractical because their rates to PR are sky high when compared to the US Postal Service. These last mentioned companies also "may" have rather "unclear" policies that "may" be open to interpretation and consider airguns as falling under the categories of firearms.
As recently as two days ago I had cooked up a very good deal for an airgun here on AGN and the "nincompoop" seller backed off because he checked the shipping policies on the AirgunDepot site and it stated shipping to PR was prohibited by the carrier rules. I pleaded with the guy, stating that may well be the case with AirgunDepot, but Pyramyd Air, Trenier Outdoors, AoA and the other other big name stores ship airguns and airgun accessories to PR everyday. Also mentioned as recently as last week I had purchased an airgun here on this site from a fellow up North (and from NJ at that), again, no problem sending it to PR using our good, old USPS. But the guy wouldn't budge, so the deal went out the window.
BTW, if I may address AirgunDepot, if you don't want out business, fine, so be it, we'll order from another supplier, of which there are many.
Anyhow, sorry for the rant, but wanted to clear the air of any misunderstanding concerning the subject and let the community know that shipping airguns and accessories to PR is legal and safe, just as any other state, except a few of the known "problem" states, of which we are not part off, thank God. :)
Un cordial saludo para todos................................Pedro in PR

Daystate  Does anyone own an Alpha Wolf Or Delta Wolf? If so read this

Good day, recently I've been thinking about changing to daystate. I will keep one FX m3, but im debating if I should get a FX Panthera or go for a Daystate Alpha or Delta wolf.
If anyone could answer these questions i'd greatly appreciate it.

1. What's the significant difference between the Alpha and Delta wolf?

2. How long does your battery charge last if you turn it off after shooting?

3. What is the accuracy like?

4. What is the reliability of your daystate product and how long have you had it and what issues have occured?

5. How easy was it to receive service for that item?

PCP Rifle  NLA Trades? Moving Sale! Cheap PCPs! FX Wildcat GAMO AEA Prefer FTF Bay Area CA Trades?

EDIT: Might be open to trades to at least prevent myself from having to move all this stuff with me 1100 miles away! Could use an FX 500mm 177 Barrel setup? or maybe a 177 Coyote or Avenger? I would be happy to trade multiple things for less things! (y) Sorry but I cannot ship anything at this time, finances are kind a tight.

Selling some extra stuff to help in moving out of state. All being sold as is, since I will not be around to help out in a few months. All function great and hold air for many months. All have been very accurate for me (golfball at 55 yards or better), and all have been used to hunt small pests. All have been taken apart, so expect plenty of dings and scratches and tool marks etc. All that being said, I am listing them cheap. If you are wanting to try out a PCP this is going be a great option!

Gamo Urban 22 Cal. Includes 1 mag and fill probe with adapter already installed. Has taken several hundred pests and is a great backyard setup. Its quiet and accurate and does ~800fps with Hades. Has trigger screw mod, and barrel band delete. $195

Gamo Coyote 22 Cal. Includes 2 mags and fill probe with adapter already installed. Got this one used and havent had a chance to test accuracy yet. Will be a little faster than my Urban and a bit more quiet is my guess. Has trigger screw mod and barrel band delete. $325

Gamo Magnum Piston 22 Cal. This one has fiber sights, but would be best with an optic. Makes ~30ft/lbs depending on ammo. Havent shot this one very much, but I think it likes ~21grain HN pellets. Nice wood stock that had an absurd length of pull from the factory. I removed the gigantic rubber butt pad and glued on a nice thick piece of cow leather to make it ~13.5" length of pull. $215

AEA Challenger Bullpup 25 Cal. Has DonnyFL shroud adapter on it so you can use your choice of ldc. Has been very accurate for me, shoots slugs decent enough to hunt with, and a lot of energy. I think it makes ~70-80 ft/lbs with ease, if memory serves. Has factory regulator option installed, and does single digit extreme spreads if you have it tuned right. Comes with 2 mags and fill probe and original box. Worlds finest Barska Big5 special red dot is also included. $315

PCZHrbAh.jpg

FX Wildcat Compact Gen3 1st version in 30 Cal. Tuned for ~65ft/lbs with Nielsen Slugs. Great trigger and has been a lights out hunter for me. Has 2 plenum upgrades that help with a little extra power and air. Got this one used but have had a lot of fun with it. Very lightweight and well balanced. By far the most ergo in my stable. Vortex Sparc can be include for a little extra, but this Wildcat deserves something like a Leupold ultra lightweight scope. Includes 1 factory mag, fill probe, and hard case. Pictured Tanto not included, but gives you an idea of muzzle clearance with the additional plenum length. $1085

Huben  GK1- I’m getting confused

I just found out about this bad boy, so please don’t flame me here. I’m aware there are other threads and have many responses. I will do what I do best and spit out the questions.
1 - is this gun regulated? I’ve seen videos with chrony showing consistent power drop when set at high power.
2 - number of shots per fill at high power, I know it’s adjustable and low to moderate power yields many shots.
3 - is moderator adapter now included or is it add on?
4 - what are these speed adapters that some gave home made? I fail to see how it speeds up loading the mag.
5 - non removable mag, not sure I’m crazy about this. LCS and obviously HUBEN do this. Is this better than removable mags?

That’s all. I find the gun intriguing, but there are questions in my mind. Thanks

PCP Pistol  SOLD AEA SS semi-auto 22 cal pistol carbine - $275 shipped

** Sold **

I purchased this AEA SS semi-auto 22 cal pistol/carbine new last year. Shot a few magazines at some paper targets and it works very well. Comfortable size and the folding rear stock makes it compact for travel. The stock can be easily removed and the airgun used as a large pistol. It includes a couple of magazines and a fill probe and original box as shown in the pictures.

If you are not familiar with the AEA SS model series, it's easy to find extensive reviews. I'd originally planned to keep it, it's a nice piece of engineering with good power for its size. But my L2 is back from repair and a GK1 finally arrived, so I really don't have a need for this one anymore. Like many of the folks on this forum, sometimes I purchase airguns out of curiosity, to see how they compare to other airguns I've had. And over the years I've ended up selling the majority of them within a couple of years of purchase, usually with little added use other than some shots over crony or paper targets. This is one of those.

The current retail price for one of these AEA SS 22 cal is about $500.

I only shot a few magazines of pellets shot through it when I got it, and it's been in the original shipping box since then.

The asking price is $275 shipped CONUS, for the items shown in the attached pictures. This is a very good deal for an almost new 22 cal AEA SS. A new 22 cal Leshiy 2 with a 250mm barrel costs over 8x as much as buying this AEA airgun.

If you decide that you want to purchase it, just send me a note offering to buy and I'll send you my PayPal address if it's still available.

Thanks for looking.

Diana  Rare Pair

With the recent post about the child size Diana 72, I thought I would share this pair. Vintage 1990 model 70 and 72. 70 needed nothing when I got it and the 72 was rebuilt by David Slade late last year. Don’t see either of these often so pretty stoked to have the pair in my collection. For perspective on size, I’m included them pictured with an early Beeman R-7.

FX  Does FX Maverick really needs heavy/slug barrels?

Hello folks, I was wondering if Maverick .22 really needs STX Superior Heavy/Slug liners. I’m already shooting 30gr slugs @ 960fps on the STX superior standard and it’s very accurate, getting groups between 0.8-1 MOA @ 110y/100m.
People usually say heavy liners improve accuracy for heavier slugs because of its twist rate, but I’m not having any problem yet, never tried slugs heavier than 30gr though.
Has anyone ever tried shooting 35-40gr slugs on STX superior standard barrels? What about the accuracy and BC? I’m questioning this because I live in Brazil and this liner takes a long time to arrive (3-5months).

FX  Dynamic & Panthera (What is the Difference?)

Would anyone care to explain what the difference is between the FX Airguns Panthera and the Dynamic? Is the Dynamic a Panthera?

I had a Panthera .22 and the Reg must have been broken. I couldn't get anywhere near the velocities others got at the same settings.

Please explain the advantages of a Dynamic, or a Panthera. Thanks
