N/A  HW35E Walnut fill pore in results please

29F25ABE-69D9-4FBF-B0D4-30808CC7023B.jpeg
I have a HW35e .22 that is phenomenal and I’m thinking about keeping it. I’ve owned quite a few & this is rising over my others.

The factory stock is perfect except for the unfilled pores. I’m looking to bring the beauty out of it and protect it.
Danish oil?
Teak oil?
Light sanding first coat to slurry & fill?

Please share your process & results.
I did my FWB300 the Joe Wayne Rhea Cyclops tutorial and it’s gorgeous but I wanted to ask.

Lathe Owners - Make a Notos hammer for me?

Hello,

I had a mishap with my Notos.. I let a friend shoot it but I didn't instruct him on the manual of arms for it. I handed the Notos to him after cocking the lever back, inserting a magazine, but not pushing the lever forward so I didn't hand over a loaded gun.

Well... he didnt know so when he shot with the lever back it rounded off my hammer in a spot where the sear catches. I've tried rotating the hammer in there to get a "fresh" spot where the sear attaches but it seems to keep rotating around after X amount of cocking/shooting and has cause dangerous situations from the lever not holding back and shooting a shot to not holding back but me catching it but it double feeding.

This needs replaced.

So of course I asked Umarex for a hammer but.. they said "We do not stock or sell parts for that model. If your gun is experiencing a manufacturers defect please let us know and we will set up a return case."

Even if it were a manufacturer defect I couldn't return cause I have the OEM moderator chopped off and Buck Rail kit on they wouldn't do work on it. Lol

So here I am reaching out to any lathe owner who also has a Notos and is willing to make a one- off hammer for me. I just want it an exact copy I don't need it to be heavier or anything modified.

I can pay through PayPal.

Thank you!

2ed chance pellets ? 🤔

So went and pinched out some spent pellets out of the 75y trailer trash trap (©®tm2023) and most looked pretty darn good except for rifling marks
2edchance.jpg

So being el'cheapo that I am I thought I'll grab the hatsan model 25sc and see how it likes them . Can't be no worse then daisy pointed , right?.....

2edchance2.jpg

Set up 10m. And hay mickey he likes' em

2edchance1.jpg

I thought "man, fresh new out of the tin about as good . Sometimes worse..lol

So when I fully clean the trap looks like I got some pretty good 2ed chance pistol plinking pellets ..

(Just to add I've not shot this pistol in a few months )

Caliber for black bears…

Just kidding, of course, got home this Friday evening and was informed by my wife and daughter that my Jack Russell (my avatar). Went beyond his perimeter at my 64 berm. And shortly thereafter a black bear Sow and her cub where observed casually sauntering across the yard from that berm. A local state trooper has requested to set up a tree stand on my property. Yes is the obvious answer, I feel so fortunate to have been born an American. Simply basking in the glow of what that means to me. Am waxing eloquent on a Friday, after a hard week. Be well brethren

EDgun  Lelya 2.0 Rising Velocity Questions

Last squirrel season I began noticing that I was missing shots that I shouldn’t miss. I’d suspected that something was awry with my .25 Edgun Lelya 2.0 i suspected a valve or reg issue. Consequently, I shelved her and it’s probably been 8 months to a year since I shot this rifle. Yesterday I cleaned the barrel and chronographed 4 shot strings. Only one string read every shot, but what is consistent is that the velocity rises with each shot. I’m thinking my reg is shot, but I’m unsure where to begin looking. Anyone else experience this? If so, what causes this?

Below are screen shots or the strings. Starting reservoir pressure was around 185 bar and I finished around 120 bar after 36 shots.

2nd shot string

3rd shot string

4th shot string

Even with these rising velocities, there groups were not too bad for quick shot strings off of shooting sticks.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Air Arms NJR 100 750 Shipped!

Well used and loved NJR100. These guns won many high level competitions. This one is as accurate as any!
It has many signs of use and is no safe queen. It has spent its years in the lanes instead of under a bed.
The action is silky smooth and the trigger they are famous for is excellent.
It shoots JSB 10.34's at 850FPS and 8.44's equally well at 915FPS. Both with standard deviations of 3.
A 3000 psi fill nets 60 shots to the regulator set at 1800 psi.
If you are looking for an art piece, this is probably not your fancy, but if you want to shoot, enjoy and defeat your friends, then nothing near this price will come close.

Happy to answer any questions and provide a facetime virtual inspection. Scope and rings not included. Most typical payment methods accepted. 750 SHIPPED! Conus only.

PCP Rifle  FOUND American Air Arms Slayer

I'm going to preface this with ,at the moment I am not ready to buy but this search is going to be a long one I feel. I am guessing around middle of December I will be, I have other obligations to tend to first.

I am looking for a slayer, preferably .357 but will look at .308 for the right price. As far as the .357 goes I am willing to pay a premium for it. Maybe we can chat and see if we can work something out. My feedback is great and I am serious about this.

Let me know if you think you'll consider letting yours go in the near future.

Thanks Kevin

Skout  So much happier now .... SKOUT Epoch is now .22 caliber !!!!

A big shout out to the crew at SKOUT !!! As one of the early purchasers of an epoch back in feburary of this year had paid nearly MSRP ( 3K ) for the only caliber at the time they could be had .. as a .30 cal. While it has been Fun and proven itself as a new to market platform, the .30 is for my use extreme overkill with honestly little need for such power :cautious:
We watched and waited for the smaller calibers to get sorted out and make it as an offering, while at the same time an @ $600 roll back on MSRP ... ouch !!!

So last week i reached back out to SKOUT and asked a simple Q .... Are you helping those out who purchased early Epochs in terms of perhaps some swag or product to offset the MSRP roll back ? ** now note that SKOUT has been supplying upgrade parts in retrofit at N/C all along and been just fantastic in taking care of any issues that have arisen .. CUDO's !!

Now the Q gets asked back, What are you needing / wanting ? Well, been waiting on .22 caliber all season & would love to get a conversion kit to take my .30 to .22 cal
WE CAN DO THAT !!! And sent me a 25" ( Oem length ) full conversion kit ( .22 Liner, Muzzle thimble, Transfer thimble, Silencer core, Probe, 30 shot magazine ) as well the new upgraded barrel clamp collar assembly !! All at No Charge :D

So a quick recap ... during early spring went about tweaking on the rifles internal set up ( Small valve calibration changes, transfer path mods and made up a smaller throat poppet seat ) These changes were played with back & forth with IMO some really worth while efficiency improvements as well getting a LOT quieter.
Now these changes I made did take away a tad bit of power ( At the normal HP reg setting ) requiring @ 150/200 psi greater for equal power output. As a .30 it still was a beast !! running no where near maxed out.

So today we slipped in the .22 cal components making no setting adjustments ... 1500 on HP & @ 125 on LP
Loaded up some 25.4 Monsters .... 870/875 Leaned on the HP 100 psi to 1600 psi & we get 900 fps !! Shot cycle a SNAP and just a mild Puff noise a muzzle ... SA-WEET !!!

Going to play with it some more on Sunday after the Clubs last FT match of the 2023 season. Then put it away for a few months as i heal up from shoulder surgery happening 1st of the week.

I GOT A .22 cal EPOCH NOW ... I'm so stoked !!!!

FX  New Dynamic Accuracy

I recently purchased a Dynamic 700mm in .22 from a reputable reseller. They checked it and put a tune on it for the slugs I would be using (H&N 34gr. That is what their sponsored shooters are shooting so they set it up for that). Out of the box it wasn't bad (3/4" at 50 yds) but I wanted it a little better so I played with some changes. Pretty minor from the out of box tune. Just wasn't great at 100 yds (around 2"). As I continued to use it with basically the out of box tune the accuracy continued to get worse the more I shot it. I checked everything like the scope, loose bolts, other things the dealer said to check, etc. All good. Now the accuracy at 50 yds is about 5". (Around 500 rounds through it) Yikes! Pressure holds well from shot to shot. I have a Labradar and it was running about 5 for ES. I cleaned it as well to see, nope. I have been in contact with the dealer and they have been good but now I am at a point of needing to send it back to them. Before I did, I thought I would see what you guys think.
Thanks...
