Beeman  Beeman Kodiak .22

Hello all, I have this Beeman Kodiak that I bought somewhere between 2004 and 2005. It's been fired maybe a couple hundred times at most. It's pretty much new. I've moved at least 10 times during that time and it always comes with me, but I'm never going to use it.

So I would like to sell it, but I have no idea what it is worth. I know there is a Classified section on the forum, but I thought I'd reach out to ask if anyone has any idea of the value. It also has an Airforce 3-9x40 scope and a case that comes with. I remember I paid around $600 for the rifle.

So i took the slayer out

So took the slayer out.

At a 3450 psi full

6 shots go from 310 fpe to 260 fpe shooting 158gr hollow points.

The rifle is accurate , being so light and making ~300 fpe it does have some kick but it's manageable for sure and I need to get better at it.

First group is 6 at 55 , my very first group after zero.

Second group is at 95 and it's 3 shots sub .75 moa.

The rifle is sexy, light, the trigger is amazing best bullpup trigger hands down it's very light and a clean break.

Both groups were shot on ten power through the helos btr.

I can't wait to learn this rifle more

Diana  100 yards with a springer?

I tried shooting at 100 yards for the first time with a .22 cal springer. Last week I shot at 50 yards and was happy with the results.
I was shooting my RWS Diana 54 with a Bullseye scope mount and a Vortex Crossfire II 4X12X50 scope.
Going from 50 to 100 yards I had to hold at least 40 MOA higher. Using the impacts on the sand berm as a referance I adjusted the scope to max elevation and it still needed another 25-30 MOA to reach center target.
Going from my usual 25 yards out to 50 yards wasn't too bad in scope adjustment but 50 to 100 yards was unobtainable with my setup.
Once I made POI reference I was able to make 5 of 5 hits on the cardboard but aiming 30+ MOA high was not even fun for grouping.
Any tips from the pro's? Maybe shims on the mount or forget about it?

Other  Whats the next step over the Notos?

Other thread got me thinking.

The notos IMO is worth the money, even with junk mag. In factory config, it makes alot of sense for multiple intended uses.

Quality seems to be there (NOT the mag) Certainly at the price.

That said, seems alot of guys are adding all the aftermarket garb...which brings me to pondering the cost:

Notos: $230
Plenum Kit: $50
BuckRail kit: $220 +
Carm/Maple mag: $30

What would you buy instead of the modded Notos, with a budget of $600?

In regards to price/value/quality comparatively?

PCP Rifle  SOLD SPF Plenum Powered American Air Arms EVOL .30 (18") Custom Build (MDT SCS Stock, Law Tactical Folding Adapter...)

Plenum powered American Air Arms EVOL30 Carbine (.30cal 18" TJ barrel). Purchased this new from AoA 11.28.2022. Tom sent me this plenum a while ago, and it's a must have for power and optimization. I had it shooting 62gn slugs at 950FPS with room left on the reg, but I've dialed back the reg pressure to the factory settings.

I set this rifle up with a Law Tactical folding stock adapter as it provides very easy access to the hammer adjuster. This MDT stock is phenomenal .. extremely ergonomic with lots of adjustability, and it has female QD mounts for a sling.

I have $4K into this build including $1161.93 in accessories (before taxes and shipping). Here's the list of what I bought for it:

MDT SCS - Skeleton Carbine Stock
$369.95

LAW TACTICAL LLC GEN3-M FOLDING STOCK ADAPTER

American Air Arms Evol Gauge Tool (Necessary to remove the cylinder gauge, 1/4 drive socket)
$40.00

American Air Arms Evol Moderator Nut Removal Tool (1/4 drive socket)
$45.00

DonnyFL 1/2-20 Adapter + Thread Protector
$40

KRG Angled Bag Rider

Willing to offer this as a full package deal, stock, or ala carte (rifle + whichever accessories that you want with it).

Lightweight, compact optic with ~4x magnification, very short/no eye relief, can focus at 10-meters or under; does this exist?

I'm using a lightweight Diana Bandit/Chaser hybrid PCP airpistol for 10-meter target shooting. I'm looking for a scope which gives me enough magnification to see where I'm hitting the target at 10m. For this I think I need at least 2x, but I would prefer 4x or 5x. As the thing has basically no recoil, I'm wondering if I can find an optic which allows me to press my eye against it and thus create more points of contact. The various 3x, 4x, and 5x prismatic sights I have seen look very interesting to me, but they generally have their parallax correction fixed at 100m. I'm assuming trying to use one at 10m would not be ideal. Am I wrong about this? What optics can you think of that succeed in or come close to fulfilling my list of wants? Thanks for your help.

In Florida and new to PCP

Hi All,
I stumbled across this forum last weekend when I fell down a rabbit hole of learning about PCP airguns. I really appreciate all of the info gained from your wealth of knowledge, good posts, and humor. Thank you.
To give things a try I opted for the easy entry: Hatsan Jet II and a hand pump. I've had a few days to enjoy the sport and there will be some upgrades in the near future.

My background is in marine science and a bit of military experience. My other firearms include 9mm, .380, .44, and .22cal sidearms, as well as a host of rifles ranging from .22 to .308 & 30-06. All are conventional firearms, but I have a feeling some of those will be replaced with airguns.

Interestingly, is is much easier to buy a conventional firearm in Florida than it is an airgun. If anyone knows of resellers in the Tampa area, I'd appreciate it. I'm sure we all would like to handle a gun and buy in person vs online.

Thank you again for all of the good info.

FX  First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

Now that I have a compressor, I can finally start shooting without trying to conserve air. I was doing my best to make the initial fill from SPAW, last until the compressor arrived. I managed to shoot one mag of the FX 18.1s and two mags of the Atomic 15.9s. That took me from ~ 235 to 170 bar.

After my first fill from the compressor, I wanted to try the .22 Hybrid Slugs in the Wildcats mkIII as that's what SPAW tuned the gun for. I was able to shoot four groups of five @ 51 yds. My two best below. My best was my second group. I was impressed with how much flatter the slugs shoot. I got so excited after the first four shots, I pulled the last shot left. My next group I shot high first, then strung four horizontal. I need to spend some time shooting to develop my hold and trigger pull for this gun. Well, and find a better/more consistent position to shoot from.

Those 20 shots took me from 232 to 175 bar. The tune from SPAW is 1st reg 150 bar, 2nd reg 110 bar, Hammer spring 7, sending .22 Hybrids at 905 fps.

Surprisingly, my zero for the Atomics worked for the Hybrids. I didn't change anything and getting similar groups from both. Atomics being a fractionally larger group.

I feel like I should be getting a lot more shots per fill with the bottle. I've read and watched videos about a balanced tune. I'm guessing the HS on 7 is spending a lot of air. I know I need to get a chrono. But, wouldn't it be more efficient to tune to gun to get the same results at a lower HS setting. Maybe 3-4. Then I could adjust up or down if needed.

I don't plan to mess with the 1st reg but, how can you read the pressure for it? Or, is that set from the factory?

Thanks in advance!

Combat Air Rifle Training?

Anyone else remember the air rifle (without any sights) training to shoot washers, with their centers taped over, out of the air? Great basic instinctive shooting drill. Fun!

It came in handy at 50 playing paintball with a bunch of 20 somethings. They kept asking "how can you do that"?I'm not telling as you would not believe me if I did.

Traditional Rifle  NLA Tuned HW95L - $550

I have this HW95L from AoA that has been tuned by Scott aka Motorhead. It is currently in .177, shooting a very smooth 13.5 fpe with the h&n ftt.
Also included is a vortek PG4 spring and guide, as well as an ARH spring and guide - both are full power and should reach up to 17fpe.
Also included is a .22 barrel it originally came with. I wasn't happy shooting .22 at 13.5 fpe, so switched it to .177. It's nearly pristine, I could not find any stock dings, and the metal looks perfect. I played a bit with the springs, but Scott put the original factory spring in with a custom guide and I have NOT taken it apart since then - this is internals assembled by Scott. I swapped the barrel to .177 afterwards.

I still have the front sight as well. It will be included as well as the muzzle brake.

For the above gun and parts, I am asking $550.

Optionally included is the RWS lockdown one piece mount and Discovery 3-12 compact scope: $100

Gun is $600, add the scope and mount and it jumps to $750, this is shipped CONUS, double boxed with original paperwork and packaging and box. Scope and mount will be removed and shipped in a separate box if you want it included.

I accept paypal F&F or +3% for G&S. I can also do venmo.

Many thanks to nervoustrig/Jason!

Just wanted to publicly say thanks to nervoustrig/Jason for fixing my DAR .177

I have followed his posts for several years and have talked with him on a couple of occasions.

His passion for airguns is not equaled by many and his knowledge is up there with the best on AGN and GTA.

A more likable, intelligent and personable guy you will not meet. A great asset to the airgun community!

Thanks Jason!

All my best!

Kerry

Hatsan  What's Going On

First off, I was shooting a different target and after a few shots of the pellets being on target I put up a new one. The first one was a little low but 2,3 and 4 was dead nuts, the 5 flew off and the rest was history.
I just need to know what's going on so I can shoot this thing good. Or just get rid of it and get a HW95 in .22.
It's a Hatsan MOD 65 .22 caliber. with a Hawke 3-9x40.
The pellets I was shooting are Umerex. Brimstone 18.67gr. shooting about 25 yards from target.
