FX  Any Word On FX Dynamic Based Bullpup

I was wondering if FX has any plans on offering the FX Dynamic in a Bullpup form? I feel the Dynamic would be the perfect airgun if it wasn't so freaking long after adding a suppressor.

It's seems this could be the basis for a next generation Impact/Maverick/ Wildcat, with 30% more power, and less POI shifting issues.

Any thoughts?

TX200 HC or PRO SPORT

Take money out of the equation. Which one would you pick if you had the option to. Has anyone here owned or shot both the tx 200 HC and the pro sport?.

I hear more negative stuff about the pro sport even though it costs more but I hardly hear anything bad about the tx200hc. I'm only going for .22. I've sold my .177.

In sub 12ft/lb

Theoben  Theoben Grand Prix .177

Primo specimen. The white in the checkering is dried bowling alley wax from 15+ years ago. Just need to spend a minute to get it out with a toothbrush.
Bought it when they were nearly impossible to find. That was 20 years ago. Guess what? Never put a round through it! However, I've heard they are real tack drivers.

PCP Rifle  SOLD *Reduced* Custom Benjamin Prod Bottle Build

One of my favorite do all, go to rifles for pigeon hunting. .22 Prod carbine with a bottle kit, shroud extension and AR stock adapter and SC grips, bottle cover, bottle band, UTG bugbuster 3-9x32 and BKL mounts. I set it up for a 2400psi fill pressure(max 3000psi) and with just a quick tune it's getting 60 consistent shots at 18fpe. There's def more to be had if tuned for a 3000psi fill but that worked perfectly for my uses and let me get more fills from my tanks so I left it at that.

It shoots lights out with JSB GTO's which was my pellet of choice for working in the feed barns.(group shown below)
Moved and am looking to setup a competition rig so downsizing my collection.
Asking $525 shipped CONUS for everything.
Or $465 OBO without the scope & mounts,
(also can work out a deal if the buyer doesn't want the grips or butt stock, I have the factory grips and butt stock if desired)

Shoot me a PM for any questions, pics chrony string etc.

Taipan  A Great Gun That is Not Talked About Much.....

I wanted to do a quick little write up on a gun that seems to be flying under the radar.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, spent all week this past week shooting it and dialing it in to damn near perfection.
I have right at 1200 rounds through it now, the regulator has settled in Very nice, the best numbers to date is a 10 shot string with a spread of 5 and std. deviation of 2 shooting FX 18.13gr @ 900fps.
I ran a 20 shot string using the same pellets ended with a spread of 7 and std. deviation of 3 . All pellets right out of the tin, no special treatment.

The gun is getting 75 shots on a 250bar fill.

The trigger is one of the best, as it was in the previous version of the gun... ( as a comparison i have owned RAW guns, Feinwerkbau guns, and yes, the prior version of this gun )

We used to use a term" mouse fart quiet ", this gun IS that quiet right out of the box.

The Gun has a CZ Unchocked 1:17 Twist Barrel, 10 round simple and inexpensive mags, 20 moa upper rail, Butter Smooth Forward Side Lever (reversable) cocking, Laminate Wood Stock, Regulated, External Hammer Spring Adjustment....

Oh and did i mention it shoots the hell out of the ZAN .218 23gr slugs as good as it shoothe FX 18.1gr pellets, Cloverleaf groups you can cover with your pinky finger @ 40 yards,....

All of this for Under $1500.00
My .22 Standard with Laminate stock, 2 mags, moderator and some other extra goodies was $1425.00.. MADNESS I Tell ya...
I can name some pretty :poop: guns out there at, and above this guns price!!!

So you have read this entire post thinking wht the hell is it?

Taipan Veteran II .22, Standard.

To end this for now , I did own a Veteran Shorty, had it for years. It was one of absolute favorite guns, so I can say this New version is Every bit as good ....

It Is VERY nice to see a Great gun, Fairly priced, in todays market.. I don't know about you guys, but I have about had my fill of the
2K-3K base price guns...

Crosman  1377 Mods

I am thinking about upgrades for my 1377. I know I want wooden stocks and a trigger upgrade but am not sure about the other usual mods. I don't need more velocity and I am not interested in a shoulder stock or a longer barrel.

If we forget about the ability to mount an optic, is there some other benefit to a steel breech?

The other mods I see online seem to be about velocity. Is there some other mod that can benefit performance in other ways (e.g., durability, accuracy, smoothness, etc.)?

Tuning  Tuning and noise

For those of you who have either tuned several springers or owned several tuned springers, what is your opinion on the effect of tuning on the overall sound of the report? I don't mean will going from 20 fpe to 11.5 make things quieter, as that will obviously have an effect, but rather if you keep power levels roughly the same and do everything else to make it smooth and vibration free does it also make it a noticeably quieter rifle and if so how much?

I'm just wondering as it seems to be the conventional wisdom that most of a springers report comes from the noise of the action. I've installed a couple of Vortek kits in the past and cleaned and lubricated springers before, but I've never done a real tune or compared a tuned and untuned gun side by side.

Umarex  Make Me Buy a Gauntlet SL30

I look at the SL30, then I look at my .22lr, then I look at fpe, then I look at projectile weight and cost, then I wonder about noise and accuracy, then I look at the SL30, then I look my .22lr... Spent literally months in this viscous cycle.

I have had bad experiences with UX and their customer service.

Someone, push me off the cliff, please. Tell why I need the SL30. And if possible, tell me I'm wrong about Umarex as a company.

And, one last thing... Is there ANYWHERE to order one other than PA or AGD? I really hate getting used guns when I ordered new ones. This is probably one of the biggest reasons I haven't ordered one.

New gun, New member

Hello AGN! I’ve lurked here for a while, but now that I have my 2nd PCP it’s officially become a hobby and I figured it was time to make an account.

A couple years ago I moved out to some acreage in San Diego County, CA and was looking for a way to eliminate small pests. Our property is perched near the top of a ridge, which is great for the views but terrible for shooting (since almost every direction is sloped downward into the neighboring properties.) So, I figured a firearm would be overkill for squirrels and rats when a “bb gun” would probably be enough. I had no idea PCPs even existed yet, but I’m glad I did some research first. Damn, what a rabbit hole! 😅

Thanks to advice I read on AGN and elsewhere back then, I got a .25 Mrod with cheapo scope just to test the waters. The Mrod’s been a great gun over the last two years: reliable and accurate, and has taken many a squirrel (and even a pocket gopher in one of my proudest pesting moments.) I hadn’t shot a “bb gun” since I was a kid, so I was surprised by the relative power this airgun could put out. However, a few things eventually bugged me… the bolt action is stiff, which makes it harder to take quick follow-ups, and of course eventually I got bitten by the more-power bug. I debated spending $$ to make it better, but in the end it made more sense to just get a new gun. Plus… it was an excuse to get a new gun!

I wanted to see what a more powerful PCP could do… So, since I had such great luck with one of AGN’s most beloved guns, naturally for my next gun I went with one of AGN’s most hated guns: the W.A. Sidewinder.

Just teasing… mostly. 😎 Actually, it was thanks to @Emu 's reviews that tipped my decision to the .25 Sidewinder over some of the more popular guns that I was considering (Daystate, BRK, FX). I’ve had it for about 4 mos now, and love it. It’s obviously far more powerful than the Mrod… and since it’s only my 2nd PCP, I was actually surprised (again) by the power a PCP was capable of. I haven’t seriously attempted slugs yet, but I did grab a FX pocket radar v2 because, you know… rabbit hole. For now I’m happy with keeping it on the lowest reg setting, using King Heavies at 70fpe which gets about 3 mags (~45 shots) per fill.

I know semi-autos have their shortcomings, but I’m glad it exists because it does everything I need plus a bunch of things I don’t need, which should keep me happy for a while. So far the only downside to semi-auto is that I need to drastically increase my ammo budget! I’ve been having fun lately practicing for speed and accuracy combined… which chews through a lot of lead. But did I mention it’s fun? (And before you roll your eyes… if you’ve ever tried to defend your garden against an entire strike-team of crazed veggie-raiding Squirrels, you’ll know why I’m practicing that way!)

One of my main interests now is learning how to make my own ammo, so you’ll probably see me asking dumb questions over in the Projectiles forum. Gotta be careful not to fall down too many rabbit holes at once, though!

Lastly, here’s some pics I took of the Sidewinder during a break in our rain the other day:
