Karma doesnt sleep

Went out this morning. Cold. Windy. 🤷‍♂️what's new....
Got setup, started slinging lead🤗
My coffee finally started waking me up about an hour in.
The wind is gusty as can be😕
I cant even hit the dang paper!🤯
.... and I realize...I'd been turning my turrets the opposite of where there needed🤦‍♂️
Yay for dyslexia 🥴
Got them back to where about they "should be"....
I hear a vehicle...
No biggie...
I wait for them to pass(public shooting area)
..

...
Dude parks downrange of me😳🤨
...
Gets out, picks up a rock and moves it out of the way for him to continue the path...
😅that rock is an indicator that the sand starts there.
He gets back in his truck.🤷‍♂️
He sits there....
For an hour🤦‍♂️...
Said screw it and packed up.
Was getting in to leave....
He starts to drive off INTO the direction of the sand....
I wait...

He makes it 30 yards and I see his truck slump in🤣🤣🤣🤣
Followed by multiple engine revs....
Definitely time to leave now🤷‍♂️🤣
In the rearview I see him digging at the sand...
Sorry bud....shouldn't have interrupted me having a good time🤷‍♂️
My manners indicate that I won't bother interrupting you, because you seem to be having such a good time.
🥴🤣🤷‍♂️
*those.gamo pellets are tttrrraaassshhhh.....but I got them to hit🤷‍♂️🤣🎩🤙

Filling transfer port with epoxy?

I'm working on tuning my wife's Bandit carbine without a regulator. I currently have it to where the bell curve is over the pressure range that I want, but the max velocity is a bit higher than I want. The bell curve is also sharper than I'm wanting, though I understand there are limitations with such a small air tube. It's doing 20 shots in an 8% spread, with a peak power of a bit over 12 fpe. I'd like to flatten that to a string of 24 shots with a peak of 10-11 fpe, so I'm thinking a smaller transfer port is the correct next step. Has anyone used 5 minute epoxy to fill a transfer port for drilling out? Or do I need to use some sort of JB weld metal putty? The transfer port is brass and is .146" in diameter.

Any advice would be appreciated.

NLA Theoben Dual Magnum .22

The most sought after Theoben airgun. According to the Airgun Blue Book, 104 were produced. One cock 24FPE; two cocks 36FPE. This one is new and Beeman stamped. Purchased from Straight Shooters in 2001, then placed deep in a safe. I've never cocked it once. Even the rubber bands that held the inspection tags became brittle and fell off when I took photos. The only fingerprints on this gun since 2001 are mine. It looks like very small stamped "S" near the bottom of the stock in one of the photos, but that's how it was shipped to me. No trades, third party, or international sales. Will ship double boxed, UPS ground insured CONUS. Weight: 13lbs. Dimensions: 51" x 5" x 11". Buyer pays actual shipping charges. Paypal FF or Good and Services + 3.3%. Asking $4500 + shipping.

Been way too long

Tore my shoulder up last October and the MRI didn’t look good. So had surgery first week of December and it ended being a tear in my bicep tendon, tear in my labrum and a spot on the rotator cuff that needed cleaned up. Today was the first time I’ve shot a springer since sometime in October and man did it feel good. Got my R7 out and shot this at 13yds. I definitely am going to put the scope back on it because shooting irons there’s too many fuzzy things lol.

Operation Sap

I have Operatives taking down a "Tree" in my front yard right now!
There was a good chance that the winds would help "Tree" attack and destroy my house!
So I went with a preemptive strike!
Skilled operatives, armed with the latest chainsaws, are strategically removing this threat as I type!
'Operation Sap' had been in the planning stages from the moment the pending attack by "Tree" was verified by Highly Trained Personnel.
Reports from the front line of this Operation state that, by end of day "Tree" will no longer be a threat to the future well being and peaceful nature of this domicile.
Rest assured, all "Trees" on this property are being carefully observed for any signs of future terrorist intensions!

As a show of good faith?
I will give all "Trees" living peacefully in the boundries of "Mama's Land" 30 days to pull back from the shooting range.
After 30 days? I WILL launch 'Operation Clear sight'.

What the H am I doing wrong?? Maverick Slugs..

Ok, I give up, I've got a Maverick .22 Compact, I've got both FX Hybrid's 22gr and RMR 22gr slugs and I can't get them to work for beans, bumped up the reg pressure, standard liner running the slug side of the transfer port, heavier spring and weight, Huma and yet, I can't get the darn things to go fast enough.

How Often Do You Replace Your Breech O-Ring?

I know this has been discussed before but here's my issue - my stock .25 cal FX Impact will occasionally become inconsistent in poi and extreme spread. Replacing the breech o-ring resolves the issue. This seems to happen after only 2-3 tins of pellets - so about 600-900 shots. This seems excessive to me. I'm shooting 34 grain JSB and FX diabolo pellets. 2nd reg is at 120. Pellet probe has never been removed. This has only begun within the last few months - did not happen when I bought the gun a little over a year ago. The last two o-rings I used were from Captain O-Ring. Any Suggestions?

Tuxing HPA station, gold air filter Safety

Hi,

I am finishing a small HPA filling station using a Tuxing single piston compressor
with a permanent water coolling circuit. I am waiting for another 3 fans and the
installation of the Tuxing gold filter.

You may have seen on Amazon the incident with a Tuxing filter torn in half.
I asked Tuxing about that and they told me that the buyer never bought
from them on Amazon and that he could be a competitor or false accusation.

Despite that, I want to make sure that the tube is safe as possible. I will be
filling up to 250 bar maximum, usually 230 bar. I've seen similar tubes failing
at the threads and injecting the cap...

Do you think its a good idea to use a clamp like in the photo to compress the
tube around the threads? I think that a rapture might be safer than an ejection
of the caps. What do you think?

Thanks.

Machine work needed.

I am looking for someone to make me a .22 probe for the Skout Epoch. I may need some help getting the FX liner to fit in the Skout barrel tube as well, but I may be able to handle that one on my own.
.22 Magazine inserts or 3d prints will also be needed. Possibly a single shot loader.

Let me know if you would be interested in taking on this project.

Weihrauch 97k

In 2019 I got the bug to buy a pcp gun and sold 9 spring guns, bought a Diana and ended up selling it and getting a FX dreamline.
Last summer I realized everyone needs a good spring gun and bought a 97k because I'd never owned an underlever.
The gun is heavy but it's definitely got that german craftsmanship like the RWS and Feinwerkbau rifles I sold.
The 97k is a little picky on what pellets it will group well with but overall a really nice rifle.
I've put the Weihrauch moderator on since I took this photo.

testing NSA slugs out of RAW HM1000x .22cal

I have a fairly new RAW HM1000x in .22cal that I wanted to see if it would shoot slugs with any accuracy. It's set up by Martin to shoot JSB 25.39gr pellets at 950fps.
I bought a bunch of NSA slugs and started testing. The card I have pictured is at 15 yards. If anything shot halfway decent at this range I'll bring it all outside when the weather warms up. The RAW has a polygon LW barrel with little to no choke detected after pushing a few pellets thru by hand.
I didn't change any settings from the pellet tune. The 23gr NSA are averaging 965fps, the 24.8gr at 920fps, the 27.5gr at about 865fps. I had some FX hybrid22 gr on hand and it pushes them at 985fps.
Results as you can see: None were as accurate as the JSB pellets. It looks like the barrel slightly favors the .2175 and .218 24.8gr and 27.5gr slugs. Not sure if its worth going outside with any of them if they can't print a 1 hole group like the pellets. What do you think??

Slugs in a regular barrel

So I've been looking around trying to find some slugs that might do well im my Beeman Commander. It's a pretty cheap gun but I'd like to make them work and fool around with them if I can. Im aware of barrel diameters and slug weights and that guns can be super picky. From what I've seen Fx Hybrids seem like a good option but really costly. The H&N sample pack looks pretty good too. I really want to get ahold of some NSA slugs but I can't find a sample pack anywhere that doesn't charge $30 and up for shipping. Any suggestions for other slugs? Does anyone know where I can find a NSA .22 sample pack?

HW100 .177 First Day

I finally got my scope and rings in and on. After spending some time, trying to zero the scope, the best I could, I tried 10 shots with four different pellets from 25 yards. The differences between the pallet groupings is so dramatic, but you can see which varieties it seems to like best. To be honest, there are probably other variables like my being a bad shot but I tried my best on all of them.
