HW/Weihrauch  Do I Have an HW30s? 🧐

I purchased what was shown on the Great North Gun Site as a HW30s. It arrived today but I’m really wondering if it is. It came in a Weihrauch box with a SKU and description as a HW30s (see pics attached) but the gun has no checkering On the grip or forestock. The GNG site has good reviews. Are there any HW30 or HW30s users out there that can help clear up this mystery?

BRK Ghost (Harley) takes 1st in Hunter PCP at Sonoran Desert Grand Prix

(As written by Tony, Pesty 3782) So this weekend was the Sonoran Desert Grand Prix Field Target competition at Rio Salado. It was a fun two days of shooting, and the Boss Lady, with her red 👻 knocked it out of the park!!!!! Barbara hit 90% of the targets over the 2 day competition hitting 44 the first day and 46 the second day. She took home the Gold in Hunter Field Target with her carbine length 177 barrel. She was also able to take Match High Score.

She had an Athlon Ares ETR 15-60X56 and she was shooting the Rangemaster 13.42 pellets.

GX-CS4 "GREASE POT" ?

3 questions on the GX CS4 compressors:

1. Why the 4 rubber feet, on the SIDE of the unit? Are they suppose to run on their side, bottom, or does it matter?
2. Grease is VERY thick. What pulls or push's grease to the bearings? Besides twisting the knob occasionally, is there something mechaniclly pulling or pushing the thick grease? It seems like gravity alone, would not provide enough grease to critical areas that need the lubrication.
3. "GREASE POT"...Exactly what bearings get fed by the grease pot? I assume it feeds 2 different crankshaft bearings. Does it feed any other bearing surfaces?

FX  Dreamline compact airtube cracked

Found out my dang compact airtube has a microscopic crack. Was trying to fill it and it just would not top off. Felt air but thought it was coming from the nearby tank gauge. Removed the airtube and still felt air. It is about 1 inch from the threaded end. It is a 2021 airtube. Guess I have to buy a new one since this was second hand and probably not warranty-able.

PCP Rifle  SOLD FX Wildcat Sniper MK3 .25

Very good condition wildcat MK3 sniper in .25. Lights out pellet shooter, but I set it up to shoot slugs. Shoots NSA 26.8 in .249 like it was made to!

Regulator at 150 with hammer tuned for max power (large versatility on power settings with a simple twist of the wheel.) Onsetting 4, it shoots the NSA 26.8 around 990FPS. This would be capable of shooting much heavier slugs, I didn’t want to sacrifice the shot count and I’m quite happy with stopping power as it is.

No secrets with FX, but the stock on these feels amazing. Trigger is superb. It’s also a very quiet gun, the sound of a slug impact is far louder than the rifle itself.

There is one small mark on the cheek area, and another small one on the end of the barrel shroud. Both are barely noticeable and it is pretty clean other than that.

-Huma regulator (original included)
-Huma power plenum
-Additional power plenum on the end of the air tube for more air supply.
-Huma dual transfer port
-STX barrel liner (can shoot pellets and slugs)
-2 full oring kits
-FX by Donnyfl moderator
-Barrel band
-Huma gauges
-Saber picatinny clamp
3D printed dual magazine older

Comes with:
-3 magazines
-stock gauges
-stock barrel with carbon fiber liner
-Lots of O-rings of various types, 2 full kits
-fill probe
-barrel bands
-Picatinny mount (need to mod stock to install) and sling mount (also need to mod stock to install)
-I will include a full box of NSA 26.8 slugs.

Comes with everything you’ll need besides a scope.

Reason for selling: I got addicted to air rifles way too fast and got obsessed with maximum performance when I didn’t need it. This is honestly overkill for what I do and I don’t even have the skills to use this PCP to its full potential

Looking to get 1200, open to reasonable offers but I don't mind keeping it.

Kalibrgun  Which Czech

I have the original cricket. It is absolutely as accurate as any gun made. Hole in hole 50 yds. MOA 100'S
Used it to 156 yds w pellets. Haven't found the right slug or maybe it's the tune. Reg is in the tube , hammer adjustment rear of block
It is, as all the czechs, heavy. Rear cock. Easy to use mags but the will shake the pellets loose.in pockets.
I wouldn't trade for a new Czech because the wouldn't be more accurate than perfect. However distance is another thing.

What is your experience with the new Uragan, Vet and Crickets.

Holding out on a 'Want'...

Ever see an airgun listed at what you feel is a fair price that REALLY speaks to you? I've been eyeing one that either 1. isnt 'that' great of a deal or 2. perhaps there is something I just dont know about it, but holy smokes I want it.

I can afford it, but cant justify it. I've held out for a relist on it and then it relisted and I'm still holding out. Curious how you all deal with these 'impulse buys'. Do you jump immediately or do you finally get broken down and buy?... or perhaps you just treat it like the hot redhead from years ago and try to put it out of your head?

Wont divulge the ad here because sure as I do, I'll decide to get it only to find one of you scoundrels has snapped it up. The last gun like this that I waited on and lost out on was one that was not impulse, but rather one I swore up and down I would buy if I found. An old style BSA Lightning. Saw one listed here, pondered for a day and decided to get it and ...it was gone. I havent had that same long time lusting over this other gun and in fact, until I saw the ad, had heard of it, but never even looked at one.

N/A  Foster Fitting Wear/Damage

Hmmmmm. So I've noticed this in the past, but recently was the first time it became an actual issue. I could not insert it into the fill line due to the burr that had been raised. Presumably this is caused by the ball detents pushing on the collar when pressure is applied over and over again. They dig into the material and push it back little by little.

The foster fitting in the pic is brass, but I've even noticed the same phenomenon on stainless steel fittings, but to a lesser extent.

Either way, guess I'm done buying brass foster fittings.

March 2024 TEXtreme Field Target Match Report

Seventeen shooters from three states shot twenty scorecards in Saturday’s sixty-shot TEXtreme Rifle Field Target match in lovely Spring-like weather featuring eighty degree high temps and light wind conditions early in the match, increasing to quite gusty winds by match completion. $750 in Airguns Of Arizona gift certificates were up for grabs to the top Rifle and Pistol podium placers; and for the first time, shooters were allowed to purchase multiple scorecards to shoot multiple guns in either or both matches (Rifle and Pistol). Three Rifle and three Pistol shooters did so. Familiar names claimed the bounties.

U.S. National and Texas State Champion Caleb Dickenson continued his LUCKY STREAK😂 to nab the $250 Airguns Of Arizona Rifle Match Winner gift certificate, and pure 24 karat gold (colored) TEXtreme Airgun Sports Match Winner set of three (different-sized) collector-grade pellet tins. Caleb used a .25 Daystate Red Wolf to post an excellent-for-conditions 54/60 score for the win. Great shooting, Champ!(y)

Derrick Wall’s 52/60 was good enough for the $150 AoA Second Place gift certificate and pure 24 karat gold (colored) TEXtreme Airgun Sports Second Place set of three (different-sized) collector-grade pellet tins. Derrick shot a .25 Daystate Delta Wolf. Excellent shooting, DW.

A tie for Third Place at 51/60 was decided by the high Standing Lane count tie-breaker; John Tafoya prevailing with 4/6 for the $100 AoA Third Place gift certificate and pure 24 karat gold (colored) TEXtreme Airgun Sports collector-grade pellet tins. Suffice to say Ron Robinson SUCKED on the Standing Lane!🤮 Good shooting, JT.

Saturday’s Pistol Field Target match also allowed shooters to purchase multiple scorecards in order to shoot multiple guns; in this case Extreme and/or Magnum Pistol Class. Three Pistoleros did so, thereby making FT history contesting the worlds first Magnum Pistol Field Target competition featuring muzzle energies to forty foot pounds. Extremely gusty match winds proved an excellent challenge for shooting PELLET PISTOLS TO EIGHTY YARDS!

Nine shooters contested the "only" twenty foot pound, “only” 55 yard maximum Extreme Class in the pistol match. Jeff Cloud captured the $150 AoA Match Winner gift certificate and pure 24 karat gold (colored) TEXtreme Airgun Sports Match Winner set of three collector-grade pellet tins, shooting his .20 caliber Rapid Air Works TM 1000 wonder-pistol. His 57/60 score is more than little impressive. Fantastic shooting, Jeff!

Derrick Wall captured his second Second Place in as many days, only one point behind Jeff. DW also used a .20 caliber, in this case a Brocock Commander. Great shooting, Derrick.

Caleb Dickinson’s 52/60 was good enough to capture the Third Place pure 24 karat gold (colored) TEXtreme Airgun Sports Match Winner set of three collector-grade pellet tins. Caleb used a .177 Brocock Pathfinder.

Three shooters contested the new Magnum Pistol class. Derrick Wall used his same .20 caliber Brocock Commander for the win; shooting different pellets at greater power than in the Extreme Pistol class, virtue of Brocock’s excellent multi-position power wheel. His 53/60 score bears remembering that was posted in extremely gusty winds, to 80 yards, with a pellet pistol.

Art Womack will post spread-sheets of all the shooters equipment, scores, placings, and other analyses soon. A million thanks for that, Art; and for the two insulated drinking mugs for the door prize drawings.

And thank you Jim Martin for providing sub sandwiches for Saturdays after-match lunch, and another lifetime supply of new ball-point pens inscribed with “Stolen from TRAILERS PLUS SALES INC… When Jim wasn’t looking!”:ROFLMAO:

As always, we can't thank Airguns Of Arizona enough for their support of TEXtreme Airgun Sports competitions. TEXtreme wouldn't exist without AoA's generous original and ongoing sponsorship. THANK YOU!!!

New to airgun competitions, Luis and Cathy (or Kathy, I neglected to ask) made the trip from Albuquerque to see what Extreme Field Target is all about. Here’s hoping my shooters were successful in creating the illusion they are civilized… because I certainly failed in that deception! In all honesty, hope Y’all enjoyed yourselves as much as we enjoyed having you. By the way, Luis was one of only three shooters that cleaned the Standing Lane! Great shooting, Luis!

Not new to Field Target, Paul Kocurek expanded his FT horizons by attending and contesting Saturday’s Extreme FT Rifle match. His excellent 47/60 first attempt should hook him on EFT, but makes me kinda n-n-NERVOUS.😰 Good shooting, Bud.

Feedback suggests I might not be the only one to have enjoyed myself last weekend. Even the most hard-core FT enthusiasts, that shot two guns and scorecards in BOTH matches, got their fill of field target. However, by Sunday night I was absolutely worn-out as a rented government mule!🦣 Oops...🦄 Wait!🦧

Sorry Folks, I gotta get some rest!😵‍💫

Happy Shooting All,
Ron & Maggyy
