New-ish member from Northern AZ

Hello everyone! I joined this wonderful site about a year ago and read here often. Decided to introduce myself and make my first post!

I am retired, living in Northern Arizona, and very much looking forward to starting down the air gun path. I have enjoyed hunting and competing with rifles and pistols for over 40 years, but other than a bb gun as a child, have never owned an air gun. I no longer hunt, but I am still active in USPSA, reloading, and shooting long range rifle for fun.

I have 15 yards in my basement, 60 yards in my backyard, 300 at my local range, and some steel out to a mile in the national forest. Lots of options.

I have been researching and learning ever day here, there is so much to learn! Some things cross over from firearms, but much does not.

I am looking at .177 and/or .22 PCP rifles, to shoot inside when it is snowing, and outside the rest of the year. I would like to be able to get out to maybe 60 to 100 yards, as I have firearms for longer range.

Most appealing is the ability to shoot at home when I do not feel like packing up and going to the range.

I have seen some of the matches at RIo Salado down in Phoenix. That also is very intriguing! Maybe Field Target or PRS down the road...

The Daystate Deltawolf has been the top contender so far. Not a beginners gun, but I am not afraid to experiment and learn as I go. I have not decided on air tanks and a compressor.
Must decide on caliber, the idea of easily swapping barrels is nice though.

Not decided on anything yet actually, but excited to jump in soon and start a new addiction!

Anyway thanks for the great forum!
-RR

Equipment ? yeah !

Outside the basement and under the screen porch is my shooting table . The ground is clay dust and stone and is not level SOOOO ! I am now in the process of leveling the ground and then i have 4 horse mats to put down making a better place to shoot and a lot less dust to track in . (4 mats =8 ft. x 12 FT ) the only downside is ,
I didn't count on the weight of a mat = 97 LBS each , at least they will not blow away .

N/A  New to forum + Question about getting into air pistol 10m

Hi all,

New to the forum. I generally target shoot with .22LR for fun (pistol and rifle), but wanted to explore air pistol also just because it seemed a bit interesting after watching ISSF stuff over the years, and more recently with the hype around the Olympics. It's also a bit easier to wrap my head around the legalities/regulations due to some of the rules in my state (WA), too.

There was a post for a FWB P11 on sale in classifieds here that I was interested in (rcs9250's post), but I can't PM yet, so I was wondering if that's a sufficient enough PCP to start with, or even progress into competition with comparing to what is more commonly seen in comp (i.e. Steyr). I've looked into what targets to buy as well as pellets (R-10 I think?), and since I'm only doing pistol I was gonna stick to hand pumping. I also already go to a range that has air pistol/rifle set ups which is also nice I suppose. Oh and if anyone knows if 7g or 8.2g is a bit better for a FWB P11, that'd be nice to know just in case I'm able to get one.

Thanks for any info.

This Compact Flashlight Puts out 12,000 LUMENS! or 220 hours on Low

This thing has become pretty useful to me. It's a flashlight that puts out 12,000 lumes on Turbo but also runs for hundreds of hours on normal flashlight settings. The WUBAN X1. Here is a full review. ...and if you like pinball, there is a 1 minute pinball tour close-up of Godzilla and Bond at the end (lit by the X1). Thanks for watching! -Nate

Impressive? JSB Match Diabolo Hades .22 15.89

I bought Hades .22 Diabolo 15.89 because it was a recommendation for the Leshiy Classic I recently bought. Folks, so this is 'match'? Many of the pellets have mangled skirts and from the tin that was plastic wrapped sealed, I can't say its handling. I don't know, is this typical of JSB? I might just consider Crosman Premier HP 14.3 amazing when consider uniformity of the entire pellet. Trying a return/exchange and perhaps just a bad batch.

PCP Rifle  SOLD 3 PCP DEAL

I am exiting PCP airguns to focus on springers and archery. I have already sold my Alkin and three other PCP’s and several misc. items. I just want to move them and get it over with.
I am posting the three links below of the three PCP’s. I am looking to sell the three PCP’s for $3100+ shipping. This is a crazy good value. Shipping for the three airguns will probably be a bit less than $100 but am not positive, depending on where you live in CONUS.
This is not a scam. I have sold more than a dozen airguns on this site and have an excellent seller rating. I can provide reference of buyers of other PCP’s I posted on AGN.

Unfortunately I do not have PP or anything like that. Cash, personal check, bank check or USPS Money Order. CONUS ONLY. I have an excellent seller feedback. My posting is 100% accurate. I have zero interest in compromising my excellent seller feedback.

FX  FX guns WITHOUT POI Shift Issues

Seems like there are a lot of threads about POI issues in general, esp FX guns. Does anyone else have any FX guns that DON'T have POI issues?
I have owned these three FX Crown MK2s(set up in the configurations seen here) for over 2 years and consider them "stable" with respect to POI shift. After years of tuning/experimenting my 1st Crown MK 1, I found commonalities in what "works for me" with regards to reg pressure, HS tension, projectile weights/speeds, carbon fiber sleeve, cleaning regimen, moderator(type/weight/exit hole size) etc... to "settle the gun in" to be consistent(or what I refer to as "stable"). I store them sitting on shelves(as seen in pics) or in their case. At the very least, I have shot each of them once a month(at the test targets shown here) without having to "adjust" anything. 2 of the 3 have the AMP reg, one has been changed to Huma. No creep or leaks.
1st- .22 Crown MK2 with 300mm Dreamline barrel and Huma Mod30 shooting JSB 18g @ 850 fps
2nd- .22 Crown MK2 in Saber Tactical Chassis with 380mm and DFL Shogun shooting H&N 21g slugs @ 856 fps
3rd- .22 Crown MK2 in ST Chassis with 700mm and DFL Tanto shooting JSB KO mk2s @938 fps
All have non-epoxied carbon fiber sleeves and one spacer toward the muzzle end.

RTI  RTI Mora Received - Bad Regulator?

Hey guys, just posting my experience so far with my RTI Mora that I just received today. The only other experience I've had is an AV Avenge-X and a Notos.

First impressions is it's great, really solid, nice weight distribution, excellent case, superb/scary trigger. There's just a few issues I've run into right now, most notably the regulator. I've emptied it a few times now trying to lower the regulator pressure but it seems to be stuck on 140 bar no matter how much I've turned it in clock wise or counter-clockwise. It always fills back up to 140 bar. At least it's consistent but I want to shoot some pellets and I think it's throwing them too fast at this pressure. Some 33gr jsb slugs did pretty good though.

Also a couple side notes, there's no manual on their website nor did it come with one. There's also no cheekpiece, I've received an email from rtiarms.shop, the store I bought this from, that they'll send it out once they get enough to do a big shipping order for them. Hopefully that's soon as the bare metal on my chin is a little rough.

PCP Rifle  SOLD RTI P3 25 CAL Extremely accurate

This is an extremely accurate P3 I have a spent about six hours developing this tune 33 grain Zan under 1 inch groups at 136 yards 50 yards hole in hole 75 to 114 yards quarter inch group. trigger is set up very light and crisp bought from talent tunes about one year ago has roughly around 600 rounds through it. I spent hours upon hours turning up the hammer one click at a time until all my slugs were in the same hole. it’s set at 150 bar roughly around five magazines plus comes with 2000 rounds absolutely mint condition except for in the picture. You can see one tiny little scratch and that’s how it was shipped to me. I never complain because it’s very very minor…. on the cheek rest I have put felt so that it’s smooth and you do not sweat when you’re using the cheek rest. It works great you can pull it off if you want. also added the profit arca rail also will come with the barrel tool which is not showed in the picture and has never been used if I can find it lol …$1725.00 plus 50 dollars shipping I pay the rest of the shipping and I always use the fastest shipping as I can. I only use UPS I take PayPal friends and family Only ,you can look at my reviews and they are stellar👍 six magazines are included..

FX  Impact M4 - Standard or Sniper?

I'm seriously considering a new M4 and can't decide between the Standard and Sniper. Seems for an additional $100 the sniper seems like a deal with the longer 700mm barrel and larger 580cc air tank, but at the cost of more length and weight. I'm considering either .25 or .30, with the possibility of getting the other caliber at a later date. Any thought or advice that might helpmeet decide?

Brocock/BRK  brk ghost velocity climb

hey guys. my ghost shot about 2500 slugs so far.it was tuned to shoot 13.43 KOs at 965fps and NSA 15 at 930. regulator at 155 and hammer wheel at 16. today while i was shooting the noice changed and it started shooting 10cm above zero. it climbed at 990fps and the hammer noice is a lot more Noticeable. now to be able to shoot 960 i had to put the hammerwheel at number 6 but my groups opened significantly, reg pressure is still at 155 bar. obviously the riffle will go back to the shop for inspection, but did it happened to anybody else? thanks in advance

N/A  Hi from Somerset, UK

Hello everyone,

New here , just wanted to introduce myself.

I’m Paul—classic spring-powered airgun lover and pest controller from the charming countryside of Somerset, England. This looks like an awesome forum.
My son convinced me to dive into the forums and social media to connect with fellow enthusiasts. I’m excited to hear all your airgun stories and get to know everyone better. Have an awesome day!

Umarex  Be warned of Common Drop Block Danger

The male thread portion of the asa adapter that screws into the drop block body is only rated for 1800PSI MAX working pressure.

Notos regulator stock is set to 1900psi, most drop block users buy a 2200 or 2400psi Fixed inline reg. The only reason I know this is because mine was slightly bent when I had to torque the block body against the crush not to clock it correctly. The seller linked me to the part he used off of Amazon... " max working pressure 1800psi" listed on the Amazon ad . Not the dropblock ad.

Mine didn't explode. And so far I've not seen stories of it.. but it is a possibility. Just thought people should know

What cheap guns are actual bargains?

I thought I'd ask this after seeing a reply in the "guns you regret buying" thread from rokonman, saying basically "all the cheap guns I wasted my money on". I'm pretty sure everybody here has had that experience multiple times, but every now and then you really do find a diamond in the rough, that bargain basement gun that performs like one that costs 4X's its price.

I'd nominate the P17 as tops in this category. I think I paid $30 for mine and it's still going strong.
My Hatsan 135 has also been pretty good for a cheap sledgehammer. I hear stories about the gas rams going flat, but mine is still shooting at 31 fpe about 8 years after purchase.
