Other  Best pesting .177 <35yrds?

I'm looking for recommendations for a .177 35yrd backyard target and pesting rifle that can sit on the back porch for a year, shoot a couple of dozen paper targets, leaning it the corner afterwards and protect mama's potted plants from marauding squirrels. I have 2 AA S200s and a Stormrider all in .177. What .177 am I missing?

N/A  new toy recommendations

I am working on selling my Daystate Air Wolf. (just couldn't fall in love with an electronic gun) Until very recently I thought that I wanted to get an FX Impact.

I started leaning towards a FX Maverick due to it seemed to have less tuning options. I am mainly wanting it for varmint hunting and do want a .25.

TODAY I discovered the BRK Ghost and am MORE than intrigued !!!

What are your thoughts for a field gun , that is more compact than my Daystate Air Worf or Huntsman ? I don't want electronics and I don't care much for tuning or bench shooting. I'd like to get it dialed in and just plink ..... targets and some critters.

FX Boss .30 N50 and EBR 100y cards

I brought the FX Boss .30 cal with me today at the range. I have not shot this rifle in months, as I normally shoot .22 /.177's for the 30 & 40Y target challenge cards with 23-32 FPE rifles.

Newman Buck set this up for me about 18 months ago, and it still shoots very accurately at both 50 and 100y. At 78 FPE it does jump a bit, but I need to adjust my shoulder hold.

Weather: 80 degrees and humid
Rifle: FX Boss, walnut stock, 700 cc bottle
Ammo: Slightly lubed JSB 44.4g Pellets
Scope: Sightron 2FP 10 X 50 X 60mm mil dot reticle
Front Tripod, Rear Protektor bag
Flags: 1 near flag at 10Y
Targets shot: N50 (2), EBR (2), NUAH (2)
Wind Reading: C+ grade 😊

I shot two N50 cards to start the day. A 241 and 242

Moved out to 100 yards and shot two (NUAH - nothing under a hundred) GTA cards

Finished up with two EBR cards; a 211-4X and 228-5X . Note: One of the bulls on the 211 card, I accidentally forgot the 5th shot. Too bad, but it cost me as I had a 31 on that bull.

Mike (CC) - I love this gun.

NOTE: The range was COLD when I snapped that picture, with the other shooter down range. 👍

Lots of pics:

I would like to see a new Forum title

I would love to see a forum listing for Air Gun Shows . This would be a place for all USA Air Gun only shows to list the name date times and place of any air guns shows for the next year or remainder of this year . I just spent an hour looking up Air Gun shows but all i could find were old postings back to 2016 .
Seems to me most shows are in the early months of the year If there was a place for these shows to advertise it would be beneficial for attendance .
Maybe if AGN had a place to post the shows and word got around to other nets that there was such a place the list would grow and and the shows would grow also .
Just an idea , Stan in KY .

Why oh, Why do Lefty's Keep getting the Shaft???

In todays day and and age why on god's green earth do the gun manufacturers continue to make guns Right Hand only, or at least damn near impossible for a lefty?

Are we any less of a shooter?

Did lefty shooters offend these manufactures in the past?

I have asked some of them for the reasoning and got fed a line of BS about design and production cost... Come on now.... I do happen to know a little bit about design and production of machined parts. I own and run a successful business in the field...

Trust me when I tell you it costs No more to design a product on center or off center

It is just frustrating as a lefty and pretty damn stupid of the manufacturers to blatantly choose to lose the money on something that costs no more to make.....

Ok I feel better getting that of my chest, hopefully some of you fellow lefty's will chime in.

Stay cool mi amifgos

HW/Weihrauch  Breaking in a new HW97K

Picked up a blemished HW97K from Pyramid Air just over a month ago, stock had one small mark underneath and that was it, it looked brand new. I mounted a Hawke scope with 2pc Sportmatch mounts and sighted in at 35 yards. Tried several different pellets, one day gun would like JSB's and then the H&N FTT ammo then Crosman Premier 7.9's.
Was kind of all over the place first 500 rounds but still decent accuracy as gun was breaking in I got the occasional dieseling. Stock screws kept coming loose and were loose when I received gun from PA, the pin that holds the cocking lever latch in place kept backing out, and a little green lock tight took care of that.
I ended up removing stock and hardening wood around stock screws with some thin Mercury Adhesives CA and this solved the loose screw issue.
After about 1000 rounds I made a slight adjustment to trigger and it's right at a crisp one pound. I ran over chronograph and gun really settled in nicely and to my surprise likes Crosman Premier 7.9 gr the best, velocity is very consistant hovering right around 900 FPS, I also noticed long range accuracy at 75 yards is outstanding with the Premiers, these little pellets shoot a full mil dot flatter at this distance compared to the same weight JSB and the heavier H&N's. In past years the first thing I would do is tune any springer I purchased with a kit but the more I shoot this gun the smoother it gets with less and less spring twang. I really see no need to take this springer apart, just needed a few tins of ammo shot through it to break in. Just curious what gun will be like with say 5K rounds through it. I have several springers and quality PCP's but am really enjoying the 97 right now.
I placed a target out at 45 yards and resting off porch post standing up I placed ten shots that I could cover with a quarter with the Premiers, I was blown away when I approached the target and saw the group. These cheap Crosman Pellets from Walmart are awesome.

What do utubers do with their older impacts?

Since the impact m4 came out. All I see youtubers post is their new m4. Talking about utubers like Matt, Gerhard, shooter 1721, Utah airgun, airgun channel, airtac hunting, earnest, viking airgun, upnorth airgun, etc. You get what I mean. Fx fan Boyz. This happen when the mk2 came out. It was all about the mk2. Then m3 came out and all their channel was on the m3. Now m4 came out and their channels is all about the m4. Do they freaking get free guns from fx or what. So they just toss away older impacts? Or they ship them back to fx to recycle? Drive me crazy each time a new impact comes out and they talk so great about the latest and greatest m4 and make my older impact seem like inferior. Do I need to freaking upgrade to new impact each time one comes out? 🤔

Will sell without scope and rings for 925 shipped. It will ship in the fx hardcase. I usually can only ship the first part of the week. Thank you for looking. NOT LOOKING FOR TRADES

Kalibrgun  Kalibergun Cricket Carbine

Anyone ever mess with this particular rifle? This is the standard Rifle, not the bullpup. I bought a used one in 22. It's a pretty standard take on a traditional air rifle. It has a terry decent trigger once I figured it all out, and got it tuned. The magazine is similar to the Weihrauch HW100, simple and effective. The mag latch is a bit different, it has two positions, auto or manual rotation. Wierd, but works well. It has a CZ barrel and as is typical, accuracy is amazing. Every group right from sighting in a new scope to testing a couple different pellets at 30M has been one hole, even Walmart Crosman hollow points. It seems to love everything. I have a Katran in 177 and those CZ barrels are pretty amazing. Haven't put it over the chrony yet, but it's hitting fairly hard.
Anyone else had experience with the carbine version? They seem pretty rare. I guess the newer, more easily adjustable, tactical style guns are more popular.

Bipods/Rests  SOLD Leofoto LN-364C carbon fiber tripod and MH-50 ball head

I recently purchased a tripod & head, as well as a second set for a friend who later decided against it. So, I’m putting the second set up for sale. These are brand new, only out of the box for pictures. I use PirateShip, so shipping prices should be reasonable. Not interested in trades, and payment via USPS money order or PayPal F&F.

Purchase both for $380, shipping included to the same address.

A) Leofoto LN-364C heavy duty, carbon-fiber tripod. Details are here: https://leofotousa.com/products/leo...atible-carbon-fiber-tripod-with-75mm-bowl-bag

This is a rigid, full-size tripod, with thick (36mm / 1.4 inch diameter) top leg portions, and 10 layers of carbon fiber. I chose it primarily for standing & sitting shooting in my yard and permissions, where its weight (about 6 pounds) isn’t an issue, but rather a benefit. A great feature of this style of tripod is the quick swappable platform. You can rapidly switch from one type of head to another (potentially with guns/spotting scopes/etc. already attached) without unscrewing anything - unlock the platform with a 1/2 turn of its clamp, then push the red release button - that's all it takes to remove it. Additional platforms are about $30 each.

It includes a nice padded bag with room for an attached head, a swappable platform (with standard 3/8 inch stud, for common bases), a 75mm bowl (used for leveling bases and video heads), spike and rubber feet, and a few Allen wrenches, all in the original box.

$235, plus shipping (double boxed).

B) Leofoto MH-50 Full Dynamic Ball Head: https://leofotousa.com/products/leofoto-mh-50-panning-ball-head-w-handlebar-control-arca

This is a well-engineered head, with a 50mm ball and “motorcycle throttle-style main knob for rapid adjustment.” It is very smooth, and has a separate friction adjustment to allow for finer control. It sits on a lockable panning base, and so allows a variety of movement controls. It has a 3/8 inch threaded hole on the bottom for attaching directly to a tripod, or platform (as on the tripod above). It incorporates an Arca-Swiss compatible clamp, and includes a 70mm (~2-3/4") plate with 1/4" stud (FYI I have attached my similar plate directly to my Taipan Veteran stock, after removing the 1/4" stud).

This and other sizes of this head (e.g. MH-60) are well-reviewed on this forum.

This head was included in the box with the tripod when I bought it, and so does not include a separate retail box.

$145, plus shipping.

N/A  New Toy

I just obtained this European Gaggenau Fluerscheim Air Pistol .177 cal air pistol. I hope it works since the cocking handle is lost it probably works great. I will see soon. Airgun is marked with .177 cal "BREVETSADA" and "PATENT" on the frame. Pics are attached.

Any information, insights or general help would be great, thanks,
