Hello, I just got my JTS Airacuda in the mail. Stoked! It came with 2000 psi in the air tube. Is that normal? Also I fired the rifle and hear a sort of spring sound, assuming that is normal but when I went to refill the rifle with air, I noticed that the foster fitting has definitely been used before. There is also a lot of dust in the threads of the foster fitting cover.

Then upon further inspection. Saw a little bit of rust on the barrell and a scratch on the stock. Also looks like the bolt action has some use as well.

This came from a vendor out east and was supposed to be new. I don't want to say who they are yet as I am going to email them with a question such as, why is it already filled with air. Hoping ya'll can give me some insight. Perhaps this is from factory testing?

You can see the bit of rust right above the threads on the foster fitting cover on the barrel. It's light but there is some. Also look at all the dust in the threads of the foster fitting. Anyways...is this used? Ha. Weird to ask that but again, I have never bought one before.


Then see the part on the gun where the bolt action sits. Definitely looks like it's seen use.

Got 5 this morning

It has been 2 years since I started knocking over metal targets with tiny pellets. It never gets boring. But it can get frustrating. Frustration usually comes in two forms:
A) my inability to read the wind
B) dark colors on faceplates which obscure my ability to see a black reticle. Yes yes illuminated reticles do help.

A) is something I can’t control BUT I can learn from and improve my wind reading abilities and subsequent guesstimates.
But
B) is something WE (clubs)can all control. That said, what’s the point of painting field target faceplates with dark colors? It does nothing to improve our technical shooting skills but it definitely leads to frustration.
I’m thinking that faceplates, as a rule, should be painted white, yellow, light grey, light blue, light green, orange etc.. and the KZ’s a contrasting color.
I suspect these color combinations would speed up field target because it would be much quicker to locate and range a target. Secondly, when a target gets shot up, down line shooters will still have a reasonable chance to see and find the KZ’s.
Looking at the targets pictures below you’ll get the idea.
Also shouldn’t dark colors add to an overall Troyer rating?

Came in today in 3 days flat, Krale is undisputed in shipping.This will be a Xmas gift for a nephew, so I want to make sure it's ready to go. First shots out the box, no barrel clean, no screw check.

The H&N 8's fit pretty tight in the barrel. I bought these to test in my 97K and prosport.

I was expecting a nasty twang, but to my surprise just a very slightest hint of a buzz. More of a twack and sounds solid. It came in late afternoon, so I only had about an hour to mess with it, but I really like this little break barrel, was easy to cock and load and light as a feather compared to my under levers. Might have to get one for myself.


It's been a long time since I tried to sight in iron sights
because I don't use them anymore, because I can't see them..lol. But I did what I could, it was high and slightly right at 20 yards. After cranking on the elevation and windage several times I was close as good as my eyes would see.

I just might slap a Hawke Vantage on it to see what it will really do and find the best pellet for. Don't know if I will take it apart or not yet, haven't decided. But it is fun to shoot so far, I imagine the HW50 would be also. I didn't see any smoke or hear any loud cracks so that's good. Trigger needs a little tweak. But I'll check all this out later.

Epic Air guns shop emailed an announcement saying they had a Black Friday Special going until 11:59 on 11/29. I picked a rifle and put it in the basket but didn't immediately buy as I was still not sure about the barrel I really wanted and was doing last second research.

Even though I've shot each one separately at 100Y before lately I wanted to see how these different guns and slugs stacked up in groups against each other. Actual distance was 102Y and the wind was 2-5 mph full value on 2nd day try.

Upper right groups were out of my Uragan King 25 caliber using 29gr NSA slugs/.075 G1 BC at 870 fps/48.75 fpe. Recently I reduced the power down from 925 fps for a different match format requiring sub 50fpe. Looks like I have some reg creep because the first shot would hit way low on day one and day two. The larger group was the day before and twice the wind. Just previous to the smaller 5 shot group on day two I shot a few shots lower into the steel to see how it'd do without them included. I wish this gun shot like the Vulcan 3 does all the time.

I like the King because it's a repeater and it'll do a hundred shots or so without having to refill. I think I better have it get new orings, reg rebuilt, and tuned. I'm considering trying it for a FullMonty 72 shot course at UFT.
The Vulcan 3 .25 caliber has always been a great shooting gun using Altaros 60gr Queen with G1 BC of .245 at 862 fps/99 fpe. Derrick Wall of Tenacious Airguns tuned it for me and he's a expert. It did the two left groups at approx 1". It pretty consistently does this. Only problem is I have to use this slug in the gun as a single shot only. I've won a few UFT matches in slug division with it. BC, BC, BC and man it knocks down those steel targets hard!!!

Good morning/afternoon. I just registered on the forum.

I saw similar threads about jammed Wildcat, but they are for a rifle that was used with hundreds of rounds and mine is just brand new.
Three days ago I have received a new FX Wildcat MKIII BT Sniper 0.30.
Two days ago I shot all 13 FX Hybrid pallets in the original magazine that came with the rifle.
Yesterday I have loaded a second magazine (that I purchased separately and it looks slightly different) to continue sighting the scope. After 4 rounds I could not press the trigger, so thought that maybe I did not load it with a pallet and tried to load it again and the lever got stuck in the backward position (almost perpendicular to the barrel).
I can not close the lever.
I can not close it using manual's technique: in Fire mode keep the trigger pulled and gently bring the lever to original forward position.
I can not remove the magazine, even if I pull the lever a little bit backwards.
When I switch to Fire and press the trigger it just clicks and nothing else happens.
If I pull the lever 5 mm backwards (till it can not move more) I can press the trigger again (with the click).
There is a chance that now I have two pallets in the barrel, but I'm not 100% sure.
The airtank shows 160 bars.
I feel disappointed, because I wanted to get this rifle for almost 2 years and it let me down so quickly.
