N/A  Kratos and the awkward swivel stud hole

Well this is awkward. I saw a video a while ago with someone mentioning there being a single hole for a pic rail on the kratos stock, and it way too far forward.

surprise surprise, it is (see pics.)

any thoughts on a solution here? I don’t mind it being a single hole, I just need my shtuff
to seat properly. Do I just have the wrong pic rail and bipod?

also, wtheck is the gold screw hole?! it doesn’t fit the swivel stud (I probably stripped the damn hole) and it‘s not mentioned in the instructions. Is it for shooting sticks or a gun stand or something?

thanks :)

edit: let me know if the pics are too dark or if more are needed

HW/Weihrauch  HW97K cocking arm broken

I was working on my 97K and snapped the little lug off the shoe part of the cocking arm that fits into the compression tube.

Can I get a blob welded onto it and file it back to shape? I am guessing the tip that broke is hardened.

Anyone had this issue and fixed it themself, or is it easier just to buy a new one? I do have the ability to shape it, just not weld it.

Stocks/Grips/Chassis  NLA DRS Pro Chassis swap?

I am building an FX DRS Pro from the ground up. I prefer the look of the MDT chassis, but those sucker's are >$1'770! (Because they're "custom inletted"; aren't they all custom inletted?)

I am hoping that there is a DRS Pro owner out there who would be interested in trading their used MDT chassis for a NIB Deltaforce chassis.

I am in the PNW, and I'm willing to do a bit of driving to make this happen, but I don't like the idea of shipping.

Let me know if you're interested!

O Ring sizer

I ordered some O-rings from the O Ring Store and saw they had this grid paper that you can use to determine the size of O rings. For $10, I thought I'd give it a shot.
I will insert some pictures and hope they make sense. It works pretty well. What you do is lay your O-ring on the grid, open the app and take a screen shot. It computes all the data and gives you a dimension of the O-ring.

Here is the grid
Grid.jpg

Set your O-ring in the middle and screen shot in the app. It processes the picture and:

View1.jpg
View2.jpg

Then it gives you a screen of the dimensions and a possible part number. The first O-ring I shot was a 8mm x 1.5mm.
pretty close dimensions. 0.02mm difference.

View3.jpg

This is one of a 20.5 x 2mm. ID is a little farther off, but probably my picture taking.
FWIW, it may be useful to someone. I would use it to order the best size that makes sense. For instance, on this one, I would look for a 20.5 x 2 mm

New Member! Howdy!

Hello everyone. New member here and new to air gunning. I'm an avid shooter of all sorts of cartridge pistols and rifles but just got started with air guns. I wanted to be able to shoot here at the property and not have to lug all my range gear to go shoot. I decided to start with the Notos based on everything I read and I didn't want to break the bank. I put a Veyron 3-12x44 SP on it with some other mods and did my normal camo work this time with Guns Wap (I usually use Gun Skins on my weapons). I also bought a couple of 10-round Maple mags. Turned out nice! Just got everything mounted but still need to bore sight and zero. Glad to be here and look forward to interacting with everyone!

N/A  Gearing back up for 2025 Ground Squirrel Pesting ... JSAR Rocks on !

The rifle now on it's Sixth season of use still has it !! Tho modified from it's original set up it still has a Balanced valve ( Tho modified ) and a slew of other refinements it still remains a VERY viable pesting machine.
Out came the most recent "Karma" .25 test barrel & Back In went the proven LW 12G no choke .177 barrel. No mechanical changes required outside of the obvious Barrel/Probe, but also a matched tapered transfer port to maintain shot efficiency and chop the dwell further.
Muzzle report is just silly, sounds like a 12fpe gun with an LDC ... a mild Puff is all you hear.

Reg bumped up @ 150 psi to @ 1900 psi we're slinging NSA 15 grain Slugs @ 1025 fps for 35 fpe :p It shoots so flat the hold over at 80 yards is still +/- a squirrels back height .... See it hit it accurate too !
I'm soooo looking forward to few days in the Alfalfa fields shooting the Bending GS's starting in @ 4-6 weeks.

In recent years the $$$ of shooting .17 HMR had become so prohibitive at near $20 per 50 rounds, the use of high power, high speed AG's is becoming more the desired weapon. ( So longs as winds stay mild )

All these years of new guns coming to market, found few that can run with these these rigs ... Ugly they are but function over looks works just fine

RAW Rapid  HM1000x first impressions...

I just received a RAW HM1000x (.22 caliber, tactical stock) and thought I'd share my first impressions this PCP in case someone else is considering one.

Overall it feels great, solid in the hand with good balance just forward of the trigger. Weight (scoped) is reasonable - heavy enough to be stable without being uncomfortable. Fit and finish is excellent. The magazine fits snugly without being too tight.

I find the grip to be way too small - more suited to a teenager sized hand than an adult man. The length of pull is just over 13 inches at maximum extension which is a bit short for my preference. Not deal breakers but something I need to address.

I've only shot a couple of pellets to check operation, the lever is smooth and positive, trigger is light and crisp. The .22 caliber HM1000x is said the be tuned for 25 grain pellets at 50ish fpe. Haven't shot it over the chronograph (yet) but by the sound and recoil it's putting out a lot of energy.

I like the way the receiver is machined (scalloped) to allow easier hand feeding of projectiles. The safety design is something new to me but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.

Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and looking forward to spring and a chance to get some trigger time.

Cheers!

Mission accomplished syndrome…

Recently realized that whenever I get a gun to do exactly what I want it to do my attention very quickly shifts to another which isn’t there yet. Like you get a new rifle and are thinking “ok, I want this thing to do X” and you work on it, tinker, modify and whatnot until it eventually is doing X as if there’s no tomorrow. And then you do the same to the next gun and the next thereafter, until you realize that you haven’t shot the first one in a month. Kinda weird how things work…

Airforce  .177 Condor dumping air

Ideas that could be the underlying cause of this?

I was shooting CPHPs and tried a 12.5 g slug from a recent NSA order and it degassed on me. So I originally thought maybe it was a combination of low bottle fill w a projectile weight issue and perhaps the power wheel was set too low.

After refilling and shooting just pellets some more it occured again. I hadn't looked at the manometer, but don't think that it was a low fill that time.

I've had big bores dump on me, but that occured at the end of a shot string when I was asking for it. I haven't come up w a pattern yet...this seemed pretty random & I'm just trying to narrow it down.

Brocock/BRK  An actual..."carbine", NOT, a shoulder stocked pistol

From the "Truth about Guns" definition of "Carbine" -

"In modern usage it seems “carbine” is an acceptable way to refer to any rifle that we consider to be compact, whether or not it has a larger brother. Manufacturers have created and continue to create rifles that are new from the ground up — rifles based really on nothing that previously existed — and brand them as “carbines” right off the bat. It just means they think of it as compact and probably relatively light weight as well."

My version of a..."Carbine".

A shortened Brocock Sniper XR Sahara Performance, .22, with the 300cc air cylinder. A modified, two chamber Huma Mod30 mounted to the shortened shroud.
Yeah, I know that the color is a little off. That may get fixed with possible future modifications.

Overall length -
Original - 32.25"
Mine - 27.68"

Barrel length -
Original - 17"
Mine - 8"

The current shroud length shown in the picture includes a two chamber Huma Mod30, in the total shroud length.

Yes, there was a small change in the pellet point of impact after the barrel shortening, but that was also after removing and replacing the barrel four or five times.
The current configuration, with the sight readjusted, is as consistent as it was before the changes.

FX  FX CR0WN MK1

Skout  New Skout Epoch COMPACT (17 inch LW Barrel on and EPOCH!) Video

This is a quick intro to the new Skout Airguns Epoch Compact version with the optional Lothar Walther barrel. This gun shoots JTS 22.07 and JSB Redesigns (Deep Skirt) the best but also shoots slugs very well. Awesome gun! Full review coming in a few days. Thanks for watching! -Nate

P.S. Triumph TR-7 For Sale!

Got a New GX CS 2 today

I've been using a GX CS 4 for a while now with no problems, it's got 24 hrs. of use on it and still works fine. I ordered a CS 2 and got it today; I wanted something smaller that I can throw in my truck when out hunting. I ran it through a few tests, and it really impressed me for its smaller size. The one thing I noticed is that the fill gauge on it is in PSI instead of MPA. Most of the reviews I've seen on it the only negative was the gauge did not read PSI....I don't know if they recently changed them or not.... but, I'm happy with it...:)

Umarex  C88 Umarex bottle adapter

C88 machining bottle adapter, no instructions or info parts just came in a box. What is the metal shims washers for? They are different thicknesses, are they for clocking the adapter so the valve and gauge can be timed how you like? Also, can a 500cc bottle fill a 500cc bottle? Does the fill bottle have to be higher pressure than the bottle I'm trying to fill?
