FX impact M3 unchoked barrel

I have an FX impact M3 600mm barrel and I am trying to shoot custom made lead free slugs and pellets. Since the lead free ammo is harder than the standard lead versions they choke seems to have a much greater and negative effect on the bullets especially with slugs since the lead free alloy is harder than lead. I was wondering what the best way to get a unchoked barrel or barrel liner for an impact. The two ways I could think of are buy 700mm heavy liner and have it cut down to 600 mm and recrowned by a local gunsmith. The second option is to get a barrel blank from TJ or Lothar Walther have have it milled to fit the transfer port which sounds like it would be much more costly and I worry if the gunsmity has never fit a barrel to an impact maybe it wouldnt turn out as well but if done right could be a better barrel in the end. Are there any other options I am not thinking of to get an unchoked barrel for my impact M3?

.30 Alpha Wolf @ 100 yards

I realize I need to get this on video, but yesterday I had one of those days where everything just clicked. Last min preparation for EBR this weekend had me swapping my .30 barrel to the Alpha Wolf. The process was about as simple as you can get. I was concerned that the tuning process might be futile this late in the game, but with two hours of light I went down to the range to give it a try. By the end of that short period of time…..

Well the results at 100 yards speak for themselves! I’m under no delusion that I’m going to win with these groups as shooting groups is way different than competing, but at least I know my Daystate Alpha Wolf in .30 can shoot!

The Ultimate PCP

Hey all,

I am currently searching for the Ultimate PCP. I've been shooting an Avenger 22 for a month or so, and am ready to lay down some cash for a high-end rifle.

I don't necessarily have a budget, but if I had to pick a number, including optics, bipod, moderator etc; let's say 4-5k.

I love to plink in my back yard and have done a bit of pesting with my AVA 22. It serves that purpose wonderfully. I am wanting something more powerful, a larger caliber, and with greater long range potential.

So far the FX Maverick Sniper and FX Impact M3 are at the top of my list. I like the bullpup layout, the high power output, adjustability, ability to change calibers/barrel length etc. Also love the aftermarket support and mods available.

I have a bit of funny money coming soon and I want to spoil myself a bit. I will mostly be long range target shooting, but want something effective for small to medium size game/pests as well.

Are there any other rifles comparable to what I'm looking for that I should research? The SK19 is definitely close to what I'm looking for, but availability and aftermarket support seem lacking when compared to FX. Im also not totally sold on the fixed magazine. I do want something I can modify, customize, tinker with.

On the upper limit of my price range is the Daystate Alpha or Delta Wolf. I've heard good things about them, but am not sure how user friendly they would be for a relative newbie.

Also, right now I am thinking of a 25 caliber due to availability and also price of ammo. 30 caliber would be my other consideration.

I would prefer a more tactical styled rifle, but am not totally opposed to a more traditional sporter/carbine layout.

Anyway, what should I get?

NLA WTS Anschutz 8002 S2 10m

Let me try this again.......

I bought this rifle from the shooting coach down at the University of Mississippi. It was sent to me already set up for high level shooting with upgraded sights, MEC bloop tube, riser, weight system, and others. The rifle comes with two cylinders and all equipment needed to fill the cylinders. Rifle has original hard case which it will be shipped in.

I will be honest.. I bought the rifle thinking it was the Field Target version, so I didn't read up on it much and it was my fault. I have shot it off and on in my house during the winter last year and did enjoy it. But now my kids are wanting to come shooting with me more, son is 10 and daughter is 6. So I am looking for something in the 12 ftlb range that will give me a ton of shots in the yard to have fun with the kids.

Hoping to find something to fix my mistake. To be honest I paid $1500 for the rifle with shipping, so looking to get close to that. I am open to offers or trades that are similar in price. Let me know willing to work something out if needed.

Thanks guys!

FX Dreamline .22 cal. lost lot of speed

i am having a problem with my Dreamline .22 cal. I have tried everything i know of to get my ft. per second up where it belongs which is around 880fps. I cannot even get it pass 670fps. Power wheel is wide open--- hammer spring maxed out=== so i backed out 1 1/2 turns. Then i added washers behind spring which did absolutely nothing. I will take all the help i can get. I am all ears. Thanks in advance

Springer scopes (again) 😁

Hey guys! I'm going to post this question again , maybe I can get some new scope suggestions.
My Gamo Shadow Maxxim and Benjamin Prowler are both scope chewing mo fos. Wonderful break barrels for the money, but yea, I've gone through about 4 scopes now, I'm done being cheap, taking gambles on scopes. What are you guys running scope wise for your springers ? I don't want to spend $300 on a Leupold or Hawke, budget is about $125-150. I'm thinking the bug buster should be ok, but I really would like an older Nikon, Bushnell, or one of the 90s model scopes that are proven to hold up to springers. I have no clue what models to look for . Any help is appreciated thank you!

Worth Waiting for a FX Sale?

After much time on the forum, and the help of some members, I'm leaning heavily to a Mk3 Wildcat, likely a Sniper VP or BT.

Between now and Christmas, are they likely to go on sale thru FX or any of the online stores? Is it worth waiting a couple months to see what happens with prices or do they historically never go on sale?

NP03 Love. Man this is cool

Got this Kral NP03 while waiting on a back ordered gun. It was on sale ( deep discounts ) so I bought it.

A 6x 32mm scope and a buck rail suppressor later…. And for a smidge over 350 total cost this is my new favorite rig !!

Choked barrel ,Power adjuster, excellent ergos, good trigger, fit and finish very good. Even a single shot tray is included

Check out this sexy thing !

Accurate ! So cool

Need springer input

Firstly, I shoot PCP's. Had a Benjamin magnum springer 5 years ago. couldn't control it to my satisfaction and went down the PCP hole. Who here cares? I know, however one of my associates does have a springer gun giving him issues. It's a bear River TPS 1200 I'm guessing from it's stock design, definitely not a 1300. I was told there were accuracy issues that recently came to light. After asking a few questions , found that neglect was most likely issue. I took the gun home and immediately cleaned the totally fouled barrel. tried to shoot using the package 4x32 scope which is too low mag for my blind ass. I changed scopes with my zero tech and managed some groups in spite of the 3 plus pound trigger. I think the gun is a bit rough, was looking to suggest another, but he is stingy with the coin.

now I naturally began researching these style guns and gravitated towards the TX200 models as well as the weihrach HW95 field pro. Also know beeman R9 is no joke either. Unfortunately, I feel they may be too rich for his comfort. Are their good guns in the $250 range so with a decent scope, be sitting at $350-$375?
Preferably with a 2 pound trigger pull.

My new FX for backyard pesting.

So I got this in 3 weeks or so ago and sent it out to FX to fix a mag loading problem. Got it back yesterday afternoon, mounted the scope and bipod last night and sighted it in this morning. Only took 6 shots to sight it in and it's a tac-driver and very quiet with that Sumo on there. 22 cal. I built this one as a quick grab backdoor gun for pests.
