N/A Do most suppressors clip?

I've experienced clipping with two rifles/suppressors. Both suppressors are DannyFl, one rifle is AV bullpup and one is Hatsan Bullboss, both .25 cal. It seems that it doesn't take many bumps on the suppressors to cause them to clip.

Is this typical?

If so, why? Is the suppressor construction that flimsy? Is their attachment just too weak?

Of course, one could keep boring them out until they no longer clipped, but at the cost of more noise.

Your thoughts and experiences? Thanx.
They recommend to go one size up on the moderator, however I have several donnyfl moderators sized exactly and ive never had a pellet /slug clip. Clipping usually means something is misaligned or sized incorrectly

They say with the qd to do that, Ive run a ronin and a yokozuna with a qd on shroud or directly to the barrel tube at exact caliber sizing successfully every time other than the mrod clip. It's important to check your alignment on install before shooting. Not all manufacturers maintain the same tolerance levels. I CAN say donny holds their tolerances really well. I haven't thread guaged anything but if you've worked in aerospace there are signs you'll notice for quality stuff. Shroud and shroud thread adapters have been the speedbump every single time ime.

Heck I have my aea shooting thru about 1 foot of baffles/shroud and donny before the pellet exits with no clipping on a 22 mod with 22 pellets.

I'd be VERY happy to talk smack on my aea but it's lined up too.

I'd think it's the guns involved rather than the moderators. I've had dozens of guns and mods and never a problem. As to the cheaper moderators, they are usually bored a bit larger anyway, at leaat the ones I've had were, so that takes care of that.
I don't know much about Hatsan, but AV rifles seem well made, but they are at the more affordable end of things.
