I’m currently waiting on a 6” parallax wheel so I can finish my setup and ranging tests. Hopefully within the next few weeks.I have read good things about these scopes. Interesting to see these points. -blbr
Since I’m still waiting on my wheel I got curious what the word “maven” meantI’m currently waiting on a 6” parallax wheel so I can finish my setup and ranging tests. Hopefully within the next few weeks.

Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44mm Field Eval
This is a field evaluation of the Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44mm SHR-Mil reticle scope. This scope was given to me by Ryan. The baseline 30 round group with this lot of ammunition was 1.5” at 100 yards. The scope and weight- Turrets: Elevation turret is exposed, revolution indicated, 10...rokslide.com
It was their binoculars that encouraged me to try their scopeAh, I was going off your first post … still looking forward to your review! I’ve looked through Maven scopes and a few of their binoculars and found them excellent
My 6" magnetic parallax wheel arrived and is installed so, this weekend is the setup, and wheel calibration so i can see how it performs on a 63 lane course with various types of targets including my nemesis the dark targets. I'll report back in on how i like it for HFT and or EFT.I’ve had the RS.1 for over 3 years and it has been a great scope. Clear glass and the parallax works well for HFT (JD made a wheel for me). Wonderful hunting scope. It is used a lot.
even the most primitive man, new a good looking thing when he saw it.....From someone that goes by Cavedweller, you got some kind of nice cave ! You always provide great pics and content.
Thanks !
I have a set of Maven Bino's love em... I even have their pricey range finder.... like it even more than the bino's... My RS5 is certainly a sexy svelte thing for a scope... but for HFT it just doesn't distinguish distances well at the 1 yard range... I still like this scope like someone likes their favorite hooker. Humor intended. I returned the $1400. amazon purchase and went direct to Maven and using a first responder / military veteran discount i was $300 fatter in the wallet and i added some sexy orange colors to the scopes trim... gotta have some bling on a an Orange Ghost or a Steyr.Cavedweller, they have a try before you purchase option. You choose the optic, pay for a demo and use it then return it if you don't like it, keep it or return for a new or different one. I did just that with the binos. They are out of Wyoming. Their high end binos use Abbe-Koenig prisms rather than the standard Schmidt-Pechan, lets more light come thru in a sr8-er line.
Cool! Yeah, the best way to purchase from Maven is directly thru them! Glad you received a military discount! And it's nice they can do custom color schemes.I have a set of Maven Bino's love em... Don 't get wowed by the price. A bunch of them go up for sell often on the centerfire forums. I have several friends who have had various models on multiple guns who have none or 1 now. I have looked through only one that impressed me. On a hot , humid, bright sunny day viewing 6mm bullets holes at 500 yds a lot of guys with various high end scopes could not see holes. Through a friends 8x80 on 80x the picture was ugly., but the target looked like it was 1 foot in front of me. The turn off for me was shipping to Japan for repair which I hear is now up to months as in 3 or more. Looking through the others, they are fine but I don't see the extra price. Some models I have been told by friends have a very critical eyebox, the reason they got rid of them. Not the best of the best.Actually cheaper than some of the other glass I seen!!!! BUT Holy crapMarch scopes are insane....yeah probably the best of the best ...no way I can get that!!!
