SKOUT Epoch - First shots right out of the box!

I'll give it a try. I am not a long range pellet shooter. Always slugs for long range stuff. I am certainly not a 100 yard bench shooter (yet). I think it did shoot a bit nicer at 910ish, though. Thanks for the tip.
Pellets perform all together different than slugs. The sweet science...................Oh, wait, that's boxing, lol.

Only issue I find with the 50.15 is a lot of barrels won’t shoot them well. For me anyway. I tried to like them, but in all my fx’s and my edgunwest, they didn’t shoot them as well as the 44.75. I tried different speeds also to make sure it wasn’t that. It’s a similar issue with other pellets. The monster Ed’s are great out of SOME guns, but most prefer the 18gn.

what does the trigger timer do? Does it shut the electronics off after a time to save battery? If so do you have to restart the electronics when it times out?
The voice would drive me nuts.
It is a safety. You can turn it off - which I will be doing ASAP. I think match mode doesn't use it, but I need to confirm. Still super new to me, but it's kinda like shooting a DLX Luxe - in airgun form!

Lol. I’d program it to say stuff to stroke my ego as well as a list of excuses.
“ Big daddy at the ready!”
“Awesome shot!!!”
“ crowd applause “
“ Sun was in your eyes”
“ wind shifted at the last second”
And the cold hard truth..."YOU are not worthy of me".

We messed around with the SKOUT Airguns Epoch directly out of the box and made some content since so many people were harassing me to do so! 😜
Shooting FX Airguns 44.8gr pellets at 50 and 100 yards in heavy winds using an Element Optics Titan 5-25x56 FFP Scope

Not impressive accuracy at all....

PD.- I would like to make a correction about my previous comment:

On windy condition accuracy on a rifle and on a shooter is very, very difficult to judge objectively !!!!!

I disagree.... He was shooting in windy conditions without holding off much for the wind. It was REAL WORLD conditions and real world shooting, not cherry picked "magic" groups that we're used to seeing. Was it awesome? No. Was it acceptable real world real conditions shooting? Yes. Don't forget, the AVERAGE top 10 Pro shooters at 100Y in EBR FINALS "average" about 2 inches effective group size for 25 shots...

Not surprised with the out of the box pressure set so low. Clearly there is some tuning needed, he also has 2 other barrels to work with.
Looks to me that they did not integrate an air stripper with the shroud, probably would helped their moderator do a better job.

What we actually saw in the video was honesty! This should be applauded and relished. Way too many fairy 🧚‍♀️ tales and cherry 🍒 picked photos/edited videos go on here and YouTube.

Thank you guys for the real world, out of the box peek. I do appreciate!

Tons of potential, I’d say. Just silence those audible prompts 😄

Thank you. I / we buy all our own stuff and intend to give viewers the real scoop on things. And like other commenters said, I still have 2 barrels to try, dwell settings to play with, LPR & HPR settings to mess with, etc. Everyone was on me to get something out, so I did. Thanks for appreciating it, means a lot to me, and I worked hard to go quick here. 2 day turnaround from filming to published video is pretty good. Editing videos is tedious, trust me....

Audible prompts are 100% getting shut off and I suspect with the longer 35" barrels it will be much more quiet with the factory moderator. My suggestion to Skout would be to give this thing a 1/2-20 thread to let the consumer choose what to put on the muzzle, whether that be an air stripper, muzzle brake, or any moderator. Overall I am very impressed with the gun so far.
Looking forward to learning all about 100 yard bench by getting totally pwned in the pro division at NAC. First or last place, I will learn and have fun with the A.S.S. (Air Shootist Squad!) Most importantly, I'm actually out there doing it. Life is too short not to try things you're interested in. Go out there n get it, boiz!

Oh a little something like this, here's my banner. We have a bunch of "bannermen" rocking the jerseys at NAC. Several are first time competitors who have been inspired to give it a try. Anyone is welcome to get a custom A.S.S. jersey.
Very heartwarming that people actually wanna buy merch with my logo, really appreciate that. Thanks to anyone who got one. We will have some more custom jersey runs in the future.

Everybody got sponged with my post…… BUT….. I would expect some holes almost exactly in the same place at 50 yards….

Perhaps you've never shot in stiff winds with a pellet that has a BC of .040. It's cool if you haven't but the video clearly showed wind conditions. Also, that support didn't look great. Also, he was dialing the scope in those conditions. Did you consider any of these variables? I digress.............
