SKOUT Epoch - First shots right out of the box!

We messed around with the SKOUT Airguns Epoch directly out of the box and made some content since so many people were harassing me to do so!
Shooting FX Airguns 44.8gr pellets at 50 and 100 yards in heavy winds using an Element Optics Titan 5-25x56 FFP Scope

Very first thing I'd do if I get that Skout is turn off the voice prompts...good lawd, how many times can you stand to hear "Fire timer ON, fire timer OFF" before you shoot yourself??? I actually stopped watching the video because of that...

Yea, that crap would need to stop. That would be the first thing I would shut off.

I want a sexy Aussie gal to say "Nice Shot", "Wow, that was an 'Epoch' shot". "Master, you're in need of air." The possibilities are endless. But one final comment when turning off the voice option, "Fine, I'm shutting up now."

I'm really interested in max power with slugs. Holding off on buying an Epoch until I learn this.

I think Skout could make a super accurate 5lb gun with a high shot count and very very good power, How many paint ball guns are table target guns? I think they are just testing the waters of what the air gunners really want, Accurate, Light, high shot count, and very powerful,,, We know they can do it.

Is this the maximum that the Epoch .30 can give with the valve open 15+ ms with a maximum regulator of 175 bar? I'm looking at the FX Panther barrels with choke which has an average open valve of about 10 ms (- 50%) and I think with a lower regulated pressure...

If the gun is accurate with them, why leave anything on the table. Am I the only one that saw the Epoch video of it shooting JSB 50.15gr (865 fps) at 100 yards and achieving under 1” groups?

The point of my post wasn’t about the 44 compared to the 50. Although you did have a point. I was mainly referring to the shooter being confused that if he bumped up the speed 20 fps it would buck the wind better, and his lack of knowledge in that respect.

Less time to target = less time for wind to do naughty things to my pellet

You were using Strelok or ChairGun. Input the crosswind and the 850 fps and 1000 fps. See what the drift difference is. You’ll be surprised. Your statement is a common misconception with subsonic pellets.

I'll give it a try. I am not a long range pellet shooter. Always slugs for long range stuff. I am certainly not a 100 yard bench shooter (yet). I think it did shoot a bit nicer at 910ish, though. Thanks for the tip.
