Western Airguns  Medical notice ! …. Cure to rabbit hole discovered !!!....NOP, FALSE ALARM !!

@Emu I’d been eyeing one of those a while back. Why choose a .25 over a .30? I’m curious to read of your impression of this rifle.
I already have one Vulcan 3 700 mm in .30 Cal. Two years ago I took a small white tailed deer with it.

I decided the Vulcan 3 700 mm .25 Cal because I want a rifle to be absolutely accurate at 200 yards. But I do not like to shoot birds on trees with .30 Cal unless I am 100% sure nobody is behind. It has enough power to make serious damage.

Airgun Technology rifles are built like a tank, accurate as the must, easy to carry (FX Panthera Compact Hunter with the angled manometers is not comfortable to carry).

My Vulcan 2 Tactic .25 is amazingly accurate up to 150 yards, but is lack of power for longer distance; and do not give more than 45 shots per fill.

My Wolverine HR non HP in .25 Cal is a delight to shoot with, but only up to 100 yards, also laced in power for longer distances.

The Sidewinder has the power, but the trigger do not help to be confident that you will hit a golf ball 7 of ten times at 200 yards.

When going hunting with my 30-06 normally you have one shot that HAS to be shoot perfectly. You might have follow on shots, but in must cases, in a hurry.

There is no better practice for hunting, than shooting with an accurate air rifle at 200 yards. The cost of a hunting of a life time may be ten to twenty times the cost of the Vulcan 3. You better get there sharped in accuracy.

They DO make adapters for mounting a scope on Sheridans without having to cut grooves. If I can find the link I'll post it. Found it.
I like those. They work good on Sheridans, and I like them on my Crossman H9A as well.

I don't like the mount that I bought from Baker Airguns.

FX  FX Panthera Barrel Conversion VS Hunter Compact

When will they start having barrel kits trying to go other way hunter compact to full out Panthera. Europe airguns sell most if not all the parts but it’s hard to tell going by the parts list what I will need ie including o rings as well.

If I’m going from 22 Hunter compact to 30 call slug gun I will need all the parts of the barrel ie liner, sleeve and barrel cover, transfer port, and the part that becomes the thread to lock everything down. Then the plenum and shroud. I forgot also bolt probe and heavier hammer. Am I missing something else??? Oh yes the o rings.

FYI cost

What is the minimum cost of getting completive in Air Rifle target shooting. Let's look at BR first, what rifle, scope, rests, pellets will get you in the top 20%?

$5k

Do you have the chopps to do your part? If the pellet hits the same place every trigger pull, you can compete with that gun.

The difference is durability, tuneability, repairability and repeatability over time.

My PB bench rig cost me $5k ten years ago, then another $10k to develop rounds for the barrels. I'll bet it's closer to $25k nowadays.

Very big Welcome! Start saving your money.
Thanks All!!
I collected many from mid 70’s to 2014
My 1st was a Webley Vulcan
Next FWB 124 Standard then the “Beeman Supertuned” 124 deluxe
Sadly they’re all gone but did pick up a FWB 124 D around 2012 I still have
Piston seal powder
I traded a RWS 94(Cometa 94 Fenix 400) $100 boot
I was lucky the 124 wouldn’t shoot😁

Benjamin  New Guy Questions.

As others have said, don't go messing around regulating it - at least not for a while. Live with it "unmolested" for a while under warranty - Crosman has a great warranty and customer service, so don't void that out at least for a while.

Do get a chronograph and learn your gun. Read and learn stuff, and in a while, if you still want to regulate it - knowing much more about it and the tradeoffs than you do now - then go ahead. I have three, all are regulated, but I did not do so for quite a while after I got the first one - I tuned it a million different ways first.

If you do regulate it, you'll need to make lots of other changes to the gun to get it to shoot as well as it does or can without the regulator - the valve will need modified or swapped out, you'll probably need a lighter hammer and hammer spring, and you'll need to drill out the port to barrel too. So it is not something that is just a drop in modification . . . .

FX  Dynamic 700 .25 shooting 55gn nsa what reg pressure for starting point?

if the airgun is in the base without a heavier 8mm hammer and with a 1:16 liner, then it will be necessary to go somewhere around 170 bar and micro on 4 should reach a speed somewhere around 280ms
Thanks i do plan on getting the 8mm hammer
