Check your messages/conversations here!Al, I still can't PM but I am interested in your action. How can we get in touch?
Yeah 16 is more than enough… sometimes I just want to pick the particular hair on the squirrel I am going to take off, hence the one 35 power scopeI love the sh4, it's still heavy at 35oz but it's great! I prefer the 4-16 over the 6-24 as it has more allegations adjustment and I never use the zoom past 16x anyway even out to 300yds.
I really like these guns. Be watching your store. The .22 Akela’s are tested with 18g JSB at full power and 16g JSB between half and 3/4 power which would be 890-900. Power output does affect accuracy pretty good from these.
Im in touch with the dealer. I cannot find the diagram over the new ultra valve. Do anyone have that?Guys I just looked at the OP profile and it looks like he is in Denmark... so AoA may not be a viable option
I am not sure where he bought the gun but this will most definitely affect service and maybe this is why he is attempting to solve his own problem with the gun???
I thought this thread was a goner, but since you directly copied me,I have been here for years. I read the rules before joining. I'm not chasing anyone away. Considering almost all forums that have classified ads have rules to follow before posting a item for sale. It's no secret. How hard is it to read the rules first.
AGN dosen't need a multiple choice quiz. The rule is fine, it has been working for years.
If you have access to a lathe, you should just make your own. They’re really very simple even without a lathe. Do a YouTube search if you haven’t already as there is even one video where a guy uses some spent 9mm and 5.56 brass to fill the void between the tripod housing and the bolt he used to secure his ball head of choice. If I was using a Bog tripod I’d probably turn an adapter on my lathe, but the spent brass idea seemed like a very cool idea.I'm wanting to make my tripod a little better and user friendly. Currently looking at a couple conversions on the market. Zero Fox Given and Little Crow Gunworks. Curious if anyone has used either or a different brand and how they liked it. I have access to a metal lathe at work and am considering making my own, but sometimes it's quicker and easier to just purchase something pre-made. I've definitely got enough projects that need my attention and time already! Any advice is welcomed.
I'll wait until he gets it on the website. Don't wanna bug him.Been on the phone with Wayne, give him a call, he is adding them to the website so you can order.
Informative as alwaysMore gadgeteering from the dark recesses of accumulated stuff...and my sketchy old memory.
Back in the day, Robert Law at Air Rifle Headquarters in WV commissioned Williams to make airgun-specific peep sights. These were similar to today's FP and GR series, but with fixed mounting rails mating with each brand's dovetail spacing. They are secured by setscrews on top, to snug the sight up tight against the grooves.
This is the "ARH 624," a sporting peep sight (Weihrauchs had wider 13mm grooves back then, so the ARH peeps are a rare alternative to HW's own match diopter of the day). Seen here on an old HW 30:

And here on a vintage HW 50 is the "ARH 834T," the target version of the same sight, adding finger-knob adjusters and a taller elevation arm.

Next, a challenge - a BSF S54 Match underlever. This eccentric design has: A) relatively low front sight; B) barrel set below the top of the receiver; and C) high rail for the rear sight...so any rear-mounted sight must adjust VERY low. BSF's match diopter works of course, but is fragile, adjusts coarsely, and doesn't take German eyepieces! ARH also had custom Williams sights for BSF barrel-cockers, but they won't go low enough for the S54. The one sight that WILL go low enough is the current FP-GR, but its tall elevation arm strikes the gun's wood (note: the FP-GR may work as-is for those versions of the S54 with narrower stocks).

The solution was a mix'n'match. The base is from a brand new FP-GR, with the shorter top from an "ARH 833T." A tidy setup, with the bonus of better precision than the OEM sight.

And a surprise bonus...the other half of each sight was not wasted. The 833T's rails are about 11mm, so its base plus the FP-GR's top gives a 1980-vintage HW 35E (with 22-inch barrel) a sight radius that's almost silly.

Here is the whole motley old crew with their new "eyes," ha.

Yes, he did. Farmer shot it at 30 yards with his shotgun and a follow up shot to end its suffering. He offered me to use his shotgun for my coyote hunt, but I politely turned it down, lol. I enjoy the challenge of using my Impact MK2/slug method. I am all about the hunt experience with stalking, waiting patiently and the unknown if and when any coyote would show up. Crazy it might sounds and call me an adrenaline junkie, but the excitement I experienced each and every time a coyote came into view of my night vision scope, I felt alive.Looks like he died from lead poisoning!
