AEA Bintac M50C - An AEA HP MAX based air rifle

I recently purchased a Bintac M50C with regulator and the 22" barrel and 500cc tank combo options.

The Bintac M50C big-bore airgun is based on AAE's HP MAX bolt action offering, with options for 13" and 22" barrels, larger tanks (based on barrel length 350cc for the 13" and 500cc for the 22" barrels ) and a choice of adding an externally adjustable regulator.

I'm trying to figure out what the regulator is set at. So, hopefully, someone here can answer this, and possibly other questions about this particular big-bore PCP airgun.

Also, I hope to get info on issues and how to resolve them.

I haven't had a chance to take it out, yet; due to weather. But, I'm really looking forward to it.

Be sure not to fill the tank using the port on the receiver. They need to be filled via the port on the tank, (if you got the regulator and plenum upgrade).
I have the hp max 50 cal 13" barrel I get 1 full mag and 2 shots out of unregulated gun using aea ammo 225 gr hollowpoints I hit maximum was a crazy 861 but most fellin the 825fps range .you got the long barrel curious to see the velocity. Mine gets over the 300 ft lb marl as well with that ammo

I don't have a chronometer. So, it'll be a while before I can get numbers.

I'm going to try to get some numbers from mine soon. I've gone nuts buying these. Max 457 500 cc cf bottle, m457 22 inch barrel 700 cc bottle, m457 regged factory model, m50 50 cal 10" barrel. I've got all sorts of different slugs to try which is good. If the max gets numbers like that then the 22 inch barrel should be close to 950 fps. That's cooking. I only fill to 4100-4200 since most of what I've seen and read is they go crazy that first shot or two but then start a whole new group. I'd rather dial it back and get a group. Plus it never hurts to not push it to the limits IMHO.

There isn't a gauge? The reciver gauge if it's still there should read the plenum pressure I would think? now that there's a regulator up front. I have had no issues with my hp 50, except It didn't want to hold 4500psi for a while until I added a few drops of silicone oil into the fill probe. That also fixed my sf now that holds 4500psi like it should as well (thats where i found that suggestion on an sf chat on this forum). I highly recommend like 2-3 drops of silicone oil occasionally just before you fill it with air. It's not going to hurt anything, it will condition the seals and make them work better. Good luck.
