Epic  Epic 2 having trouble with pellets

I have spoken to Dave via text many times. I’m suspecting issues with my mags. Now I purchased this platform in close to initial release. So I’m expecting stuff, and had it with initial regs. Working on valve performance, etc. I know the mags are misaligned a tiny bit, but that’s all it takes. I’m more curious if others have had this experience? Doubt it though. If I don’t get answers here, I’ll reach out to Dave. Mags are epics own.

Vevor / Yong Heng relay / breaker / thermal protection

Should be able to try fix without opening case. Loosen the nut, rotate the breaker 90 degrees by grabbing the flats and retighten nut.

I did that and used this replacement part (had to open case and ream out hole a bit to fit):

At some point they switched from 13 amp to 20 amp breakers.

DNT TNC225R or DNT Zulus HD 5-20 with range finder

That's been my issue is that the math is just slightly off compared to strelok. If we could add windage correction to a custom table that would be pretty rad too. Compensate for spiral after doing real world poi confirmations.
To be honest I haven’t looked much deeper than calculating drop, which I need to because I have noticed some spindrift and of course the constant wind. But I’m about to get a plenum mod which should let me move up to 37gr @965-970fps… so I’m hoping that will mitigate a lot more of the wind issues.

As far as drop goes it’s good. I’ve hit a squirrel at 125 so far but I’ve tested the table out to 190 and seen really good results.

Compressors

Heat is a compressor killer, any method to address is positive. Fans, water, crankcase oil and low-speed gearing are popular. Wouldn't recommend single cooling method compressors, combination platforms will outlast. WM
If they address the compressor head cooling, they rarely address it electronically. It can be done by the end user if they're handy enough.

ThomasT pellet trap

I was remiss to learn that ThomasT had passed as I wanted to reach out about his awesome pellet trap. We all lost a great contributor! My understanding is that “Pete” Cammareri Fabrication sells these traps via his FB page. Does anyone know if Pete is selling these traps now?
Oh no, so sorry to hear that. :-(

Kral Arms  Kral back at PA

That’s a shame. Mine are keepers. What are your long rangers your Zeloses ?
My Kral NP03 are very accurate up to about 50-60 yards.
I downtuned them (using the transfer port adjuster) to get 3-4 good magazines.
If I increase the power they would probably be accurate even farther away.

For longer range these are my favorites (in this order):
Nova Liberty .22, Umarex Zelos .22, Avenger .22, Niksan Ozark .22, Airacuda Max .22, Nova Liberty .177, Airacuda Max .177

All of the longer range PCPs need higher power and are regulated for longer shot strings.

First Gun, Thoughts?

I still enjoy my first run AV Avenger in .25. I upgraded to the Buck Rail Tactical kit. I cast pellets for the gun and use Big Air high capacity mags. This gun continues to do everything I need it to do.
I also started with 1st Gen AV 42 fpe non choked barrel. Everyone knocked it because of the stock but, there were ways to fix it and a way to modify it as I needed more fpe without buying another pcp, 100fpe tuned it for 70 fpe because of barrel limitations. I wish I never sold it. https://www.facebook.com/alienairguns helped me to get to that level also.

FX  Not allowed suppressor - which FX DRS Tac calibre and barrel length will be quietest?

But here in the States we are all used to the Royales coming with moderators - illegal for the O.P. And that's all I've ever seen.

But Vana2 has one in Canada... where one also can't have a moderator?

My head hurts...
It has a shroud, not really a moderator, integral to the gun & not added on. Should be as legal as a Marauder or any other shrouded (from the factory) gun. Just looked at 2 airgun dealers in Australia. The Royale is sold there, like here, with the same shroud.

My 40yard 10shot spread yesterday with JTS .22 25.39grain. That darn flyer.. would have been ¼” spread or so if not for that one. Was in the wind too!

Fenton Pellet Sizer - Any AGN Members Have Exeprience With One?

I cannot see from the pictures, but I can talk about pellet sizers :)
You want one that is tapered inside a hole, not a simple cylindrical push-through.

I am using the T-RROB pellet sizers, those are adjustable depth. Not a best but works good enough, when received I still had to do some elbow greasing with it to make it to my liking.
You can re-size the pellet head and the pellet skirt to different size - the taper in the hole drives the ratio, and the depth drives the OD.

Brocock/BRK  Brocock Sniper XR

Today I was up shooting and just amazed at the accuracy of my .25 cal Sniper Magnum.
I was shooting from 25 yards out 163 yards
Ringing steel and all sorts of targets a long way. If you have a magnum and want some more power get the Power Tune from AOA. It works really well.
and it loves the JSB 33.95 gr Pellets!!

Happy shooting!

Sekhmet Digital Gauge Gen 1 insides

I have a Sekhmet gen 1 installed on my Impact MKII. So far no issues and I do appreciate being able to notice the regulator pressure at a glance. I can't say how old this unit is as I am the third owner of this Impact and it was there when the rifle was purchased. I find it interesting to see what makes up the guts of this gauge.

HPA Compressor Crossroads…?🙈

Thanks Jack.

Have been reading ‘all’ of your responses to various compressor posts.

Q. Do you know how easy/hard it is to replace a new power supply, should I go with the CS4-I? I like The convenience of having it internal. Not worrying about heat, because the unit is water cooled and I will baby the fills.

Not worried about the extra cost.
Replacing the internal power supply and/or the circuit board on a CS4-i is not particularly difficult. My friend had to replace both on his new CS4-i and I didn't hear any serious complaints. The CS4-i compressor is water cooled but the internal parts such as the power supply and the circuit board are not. I don't imagine that it gets severely hot within the case but when it comes to electronics less heat and less vibration is good and no heat and no vibration is better.

If you like the convenience of an internal power supply, I say go for the CS4-i. My CS4-i was perfect out of the box and remains so today - no complaints.
