FX Impact Soft Case

I have something very similar to this. I think mine is made by Gettysburg but it’s basically the same as this one on Amazon. Has always worked fine for me and I like the soft case for ease of transport over a hardcase in many situations. I am not beating my equipment around in transit so it’s more than adequate.

USPS at its finest

A quick search shows major issues with them all......I'm with KWK about not having the time to sit and watch the tracking, I wait for the email that says "delivered" then I go pick it up.
Truth is, waiting for stuff sucks but be thankful we're not 60 years ago waiting for stuff. LOL

I SEE THE ADVANAGE TO HAVING ONLY ONR GUN. O ring question...

I have often thought of posting an oring “want to trade” thread in the classified. I have bought most of the orings for my guns through either the Oring Store or Orings and More Store where they typically have a minimum order of 25 to 100 orings per size - enough to last about 5 lifetimes and plenty to trade for a few I still need.

.308 1/12 Twist bull barrel for a Texan

I am building a custom .308 texan and the only barrel I can get is a 1/12 twist 32 inch length. Can someone please advise me if this twist is to fast for 120-150gn slugs. Also running AAO 4500psi setup.
The factory 308 barrel will be enough for 145gr to 155gr long bullet that one is 1-14 .. for bullet in the 120gr+ Doug said that 1-18 to 1-20 would be better suited for light bullets.. remember to use one last solid aluminum bushing in the end of you frame .

Diana  Diana 52 .177 pellet size?

Pellet fit and weight are two different things. Or, let's ask first what do you mean by fit? It usually denotes how well the pellets chamber, ie. are they easy to load or need a heavy push or two, or do they drop in without any resistance or go snugly and smoothly? A light pellet can be hard to load and vice versa.

10+ grain pellets are the default in a .177 cal D52, since lighter pellets usually fly just too fast. Within that bracket there's a range of fits. JSB Exacts usually fit the loosest, and would be one to try in a tight chamber gun. Exact Heavies are 10.34 gr. in weight.

I wouldn't shoot Crosmans out of any of my guns. With their high antimony content, they mess up the leading if you intend to shoot any other brand pellets (especially soft ones like the JSB's). The Crosmans are also low-quality, having wildly varying head diameters per tin.
Well I've had good experience with the Piranha pellets in my Crosman rifles. Pretty much why I tried them in the Diana 52 Magnum Springer. The heads were too large and pretty much had to force them in. I could tell by the chrony results they actually effected the velocity with the Diana rifle, but not the Crosman rifles. Since the Diana is just slightly stronger then the Crosman rifles, but the Crosman rifles had like 50 or more fps with the Piranha pellets. It's just not the pellet for this Diana. I have some Barracuda Match 10.65g I'll try. See if they fit any better. Otherwise I'll try some jsb's.

Events  Disappointed having had to cancel an N50 match

Sadly, we had to cancel our first N50 match of our outdoor season, at the Meeker Sportsman Club, in Marion, OH. We have had a LOT of rain all week. I drove to the club this morning at 8:30 and this is what I found.

The long lane, going back to our range, had disappeared under 10” of water. We just couldn’t risk anyone going off the stone and getting stuck in the soft grass.

This is the first match we have ever had to cancel. Many of us had very high hopes of shooting today but the weather had other plans. Our next match is 4/29 and hopefully this is the last and only match cancellation.
You made the right choice. The only real choice. It sucks, the weather Really hasn't been playing ball much thus far into '25. Best of luck next time man.

Panthera Hunter Compact .22 Slugs at 25 yards & 50 yards

Hello,

Not sure where to post this but I'll post it here. I found a slug that my PHC likes. The H&N Slug HP in .218 21gr going at 900fps. I think I'll try the .217 and see how well those do. This is a 50 yard shot. My first group was at 25 yards and I shot 6 slugs. Everything else was at 50 yards and a 5 shot group. I can definitely get a tighter group if I I put a better scope on with higher magnification. Right now it has the DiscoveryOpt HD 2-12X24SFIR FFP. I'm pretty impressed with this 300mm barrel gun.

Maven RS.5 4-20x50 SFP w IR

Maven is a manufacturer direct to consumer. An other manufacturer direct company to consumer is Tract Optics, that uses Schott glass as opposed to the Japanese glass used in Maven Optics. Any one here have compared the two brands?
I’ve tried the Maven on a few different airguns now. A Ghost, a Blackwolf, and a TM1000X.

It’s a beautiful scope, almost sexy and it functions flawlessly and I really like the mil reticle SFP for HFT use - right amount of thickness.

Like most scopes, at 16X It doesn’t range well much past 35 yards and if using a 6” wheel on the parallax knob, it only spreads the #’s out 110 degrees.

If I were to buy one or keep this one, I probably would put it on my HFT or EFT pistol 🤪

Other  HW45 Love

I really enjoy the pistol, still need to try a stock on one of mine.

I am not a pistolero, so I struggled with it. Add the springer characteristic and it was a real challenge. After adding the stock, things got WAY easier for me. There are still physics to deal with, but they are much more easily adressed with a stock.

FX  FX King or FX Continuum 30 cal.

Hi, I don't know if is correct to post this question here, but since you're discussing the FX continuum in .30 I consider it's worth to ask, recently a friend of mine is selling a light used continuum in .30, attached you will find a couple pictures of the rifle, my my stopper here is, do the continuum with a slug upgrade kit archive something near 90 fpe levels? or is better to go for a newer/powerful version such as a king.
the price of this second hand rifle is around 60% the value of a king .30 600mm in my country.
I think is important to mention that my main objective is to use it on the bench to shoot maximum at 120 meters, my main concern is accuracy and repeatability.
where I shoot, normally the wind is over 30km/h around 19 mph, and to give you some idea how affects my shoots my bro ghost ,25 Hp shooting the jsb redesigned 33.95 grains at 950 fps are shifted around 5-7 centimeters at 100m.
That's why I thinking to acquire this continuum in order to have better performance with wind.
Thanks in advance for you feedback.

Tuxing TXED012 temp gauge

I used a 3-pin regulator to power one of my temperature gauges from compressor power. Another one, I made a switch adapter by placing two wire leads onto opposite sides of some plastic film with the wires to a switch.

Since it as so much easier to just replace the batteries, I just went back to that. Old, retired, with lots of time comes into conflict with lazy. ;)
