Gauntlet SL30 Barrel Replacement

And when the barrels arrive back I'm gong to do an unedited video of opening the package, mounting the barrels and test shooting both at 50 yards to verify whether they were defective or not. I don't mind being wrong. If they shoot like s#it they shoot like s#it.
Know you are busy but would like to see your results.

GK1 Builds: Camping Carbines & Pack Pistols

My guess is that you can get custom shorties to almost any reasonable lengths you may desire. I'm just waiting for someone to get a micro unit that can only produce half a dozen shots at maybe 25 ft-lbs.

Or someone to keep the stock tube length but cut the barrel and shroud down so that the moderator terminates to the same edge as the airtube.
This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking of for a while. Not that I have the budget for this but this is intriguing to me.

Big Power in a Small Package: Meet the MicroStrike

It's AirVenturi no Umarex.
I like being able to adjust a regulator , and I wonder what this one can be turned up to. I only punch paper , but like power also. I mean who wants to count to 3 before the pellet hits.
I wounder what the cc of the tube is , or if it's removable , so I can put a little bottle on there for more shots. I already got a mod for it I have never seen on any air gun. I love it. Honestly can't wait. Well done AirVenturi.
80cc Tube. But you can change barrels between .177, .22 and .25. Not sure that matters if you can only shoot 5, 4 & 3 rounds respectively. Just kidding don't really know the output specs.

Big Power in a Small Package: Meet the MicroStrike

why more power? For what use? It looks like their take on a notos style gun and id hope they are priced below it if they want to compete at all. For $189 a Notos is about impossible to beat but its limited to .22 only. Neat they did 177 and 25 as well. Options. Power is over rated. Guess it depends on your use.
Hey Man, try double that to 399.00. At that price not sure it is a notos killer. However, it is a very neat looking pcp and may be going for a different end user.

FX  My FPS tuning set up

A picture of my set up for tuning
Interesting..... what do you put in the box as a backstop? I'm using sections of radial tyres at the moment.

Also, what chrono do you use? I find the FX pocket v2 often fails to register over such a short distance (I'm guessing the doppler radar doesn't have enough shot-time), so I recently swapped to an old-school LMBR light-based chrono

FX  My Fx Panthera needs some help

Not really, you should check with Utah Airguns.
The issue is fixed. You are right, this hammer is a little heavier than the OEM one. I just simply turned the hammer spring down to level 1, and now the rifle is shooting about 810 fps, and 4-5 mag per fill with normal noise level. Thank you so much.

Air Arm S510 targeting rats again

Back at the Nursery Barn again for the 3rd time looking for rats. I brought my Air Arm S510 .177 cal low power air rifle to do the pest control work.

Not many rats anymore. I only saw 6 and I managed to tag all six before calling the night. A couple of coyotes were howling just outside of the barn, making it very eerie to hang out in the area. I will have to get back on my quest to hunt for my next coyote again.

Enjoy this video. Hopefully the rats will reproduce and give me more moving targets to practice my marksmanship again.

N/A  What gun amazed you?

The Taipan Veteran 2 Tactical 550mm .22 I purchased from Dillon is just so accurate, quiet, sublime cocking and with a fabulous light crispy trigger pull, reminds me of my RAW HMx but in bullpup form. It's also more efficient with air than my RAW, both shoot pellets and slugs very accurately.
I have the 700mm in 25cal....love that gun.... thinking really hard about getting one in 550!!!

Recommendations for Battery Powered Air Compressor

Did you run it AC or DC via the Ecoflow?
I ran it via AC, which I'm aware is less efficient due to converting from DC to AC and back again. I'm not super familiar with EcoFlow's competitors, but none of the smaller EcoFlows have sufficient DC output interfaces for the compressor.

I'd need to re-run my wattage test of the compressor but I believe it was drawing around 450W under load and 40W with just the cooling fans on.

RAW Rapid  Any recent RAW Micro Hunter owners?

Another gun I am looking at is the RAW Micro. It looks very interesting but the reviews are older and I have seen some recent complains about accuracy and consistency.

I was wondering if there are any new owners with recent new purchases and how they experience has been?
Compare it to the BRK Pathfinder XR… A wickedly solid little PCP. I like the look of the Micro, it looks to be a dandy little rig.

why do people that say they don't know still

you know a lot of time that is all we have is a guess even if we know the gun well and why is that
well, the poster has not made the question answerable not enough info
it is like calling up and machinic and saying i have a noise can you tell me what it is
and you are right with enough guesses one could be right
i think some of us are just plain bored and need something to do and typing i don't know solves that

Other  Market value of Aeron B96 CO2 match pistol?

it is correct to assume that few people know these pistols and the hardest part is there value and that could be a negative
but on the flip side these are very nice as are the Chameleon 4 and 5 yes i said 5 it is the .22 model 4
the other thing is they are not seen often and anyone want one will jump to get it
now the is a person on GB he wants 1295.00 and he is mad as a hatter
but a good B96 in 100% working order should be a 500.00 pistol
now back to reality you see in my pictures the B96 the poster has is miss a part below the mag port that on mine has a hex screw and his a slotted screw that it beat up
missing parts will cause problems
an yes mine has a Weaver-Picatinny rail mounted it does not affect the sights and in reality, helps you aim down the slot

Brocock/BRK  Is Brocock Ghost Carbine a good choice for HFT competition?

Just under stand short guns such a Bull pups are much harder to be stable with than a long gun ( Typical rifle length ) This due to support distance Shoulder to Fore stock being shorter too.
It can be done successfully with much attention paid to getting rock solid stable in your shooting position & making sure no CANT exists as the taller optics position is far more sensitive to getting it crooked having Cant.
If this man gives you advice it's the best you'll get. Personal friend/hero in the airgun world. If it's posted from him it's the best advice you'll get! Period!

Recommendations for Battery Powered Air Compressor

I have been able to use an EcoFlow River 3 Plus to power my JTS comp1. Not all portable batteries will work due to wattage output limits, but a river 3 is sufficient if you disable "Xboost" mode. I haven't done a max runtime test, but it's enough to top off an FX impact several times.
Did you run it AC or DC via the Ecoflow?

Other  Market value of Aeron B96 CO2 match pistol?

As is, $200-300. Working correctly, $300-450. Few airgunners are familiar with the B96., so your audience of prospects is very limited. Attached below is testing of the B96 I once owned and tested for an article in American Airgunner magazine.

Tuning  Umarex M1A1 Thompson Repair

The Bolt on the M1A1 is covered in a telescoping plastic. I took some pictures of the upper and lower and moved the bolt, it does not move a whole lot. I made a short video of it. I think it may be a little more difficult to do. What is your opinion?

YouTube has a video “WE Thompson M1A1 Disassembly & Cleaning, Lubrication Guide”.
This might be slightly different for Umarex but I suspect they both follow a similar design.
It shows the bolt … a substantial alloy piece … which somewhat resembles the bolt in the MP40. If so, it would be a hollow bolt composed of two halves screwed together. And that means you could pack it with lead BBs or pellets before before screwing the two halves back together. The extra weight slows the cycle time quite a bit
