FX  Benchrest 50m with pellets: Fx Panthera or Fx Leopard?

My opinion is shorter is better with all other things equal. Any movement is exacerbated with length.
Unless you make it heavy for br shooting. 54 yards isn't too bad.
Hi all, any advice on which to choose specifically for shooting pellets at 50m and Why? Thanks for your input.
Not on the menu, but i might recommend the impact exclusively for the reason of everything being externally adjustable for conditions. In benchrest consistency is king, every projectile needs to be as close to alike and driven as close to identically as possible. The valve adjuster on the impact helps there. If it's only the 2 listed options, probably the panthera because I don't recommend anybody buy an fx that isn't a 1 yr old design already. They hit you with rolling updates to the gun all the time.

50m/54 yards is my starting range with my goofy little dreamline and it can reach to 110 yards on cooler days(good stable air) with golf all accuracy using pellets. I'm not pointing you towards a dreamline either since I already broke the parameters of your question.

Bench rest is an interesting game of money, equipment and measurements. I was ill equipped with powder burners at my old club, but didn't come in even last 5 places with a light 22" barrel hunting gun. I'm going back to rimfire day with an impact to get the rules re written with my name on it. 😁

Best of luck on your adventure!

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

I put a different scope on my TX 200. It is a 5-16x50 so it is smaller than the one I was using and much easier to load because I can see the loading port. I just wanted to get it on paper before I go to the range and sight it in for Hunter class field target. It was way right so I went one turn and it hit paper. Another half turn and it was close then a couple clicks and out three just under the bullseye at 20 yards.

the one thing you have to keep, in mind is all metric Oring state the CS and ID
so in this case 2.5mm x 2 + 7mm ID and that give you 12mmOD
now if you take a 3.0mm and do the same thing you OD changes
now if change to inch sizes, the size you need falls in between a 108 and 109 one OD is too small and the other is too big
but again with the shins you can change the CS from 2.5mm nominal to 2.9mm and the ID and OD stay the same
now i said nominal and the reason is all Oring of the same size might not be the same size
the CS could be + or -
in most cases it will never make a difference but in this case where we are talking about 0.10mm it could
and to understand that better my paper i use in my printer is 0.10mm and that is 39 thousands

New to pcp

I have heard that about the level before. I was looking into some scope rings with the level built. Might have to revisit that again. Thanks much
I started with the level in the rings, it can be a little hard to see. This is the 3rd one I've tried. I like it because it's marked in finer Increments and it's slightly curved. Torquing the rifle on the stand to match the level was my biggest problem. I was hitting a different spot every shot.

FX  Benchrest 50m with pellets: Fx Panthera or Fx Leopard?

The best advice would come from those who have actually shot these rifles at 50 m with pellets. I have not and I would also like to hear of Panthera success stories with pellets. I have a .22 700 Panthera that I bought specifically to shoot slugs and, so far I'm not real impressed with its slug-shooting performance at 50 yards.

HW/Weihrauch  Walnut HW95 ??? What gives ???

For the most part, walnut stock options for HW and AA rifles are meh! It's a richer look, but for the most part, the grain is pretty plain. Rhyme not intended. You may win the lottery and get one with some nice figure, but I think that's pretty rare. I have 4 springers: FWB300SU with factory stock, HW95 with a factory walnut stock, a Beeman R7 with a Corcoran stock and a TX200 with a custom walnut stock from the UK. The custom stocks cost more, but are worth it from the standpoint of appearance and quality.

Ataman  What do you guys think of the Ataman AP16?

I rated superb though it is definitely not perfect. I find it to be a quality piece in fit and finish, it's very accurate, reasonably powered and air efficient. Styling while subjective, I think she's a beauty. My biggest con is that one must be considerate/aware of how low the pressure is getting while shooting, if too low on pressure it tends to let all the air out after a shot. I typically shoot 3 mags and top off, I can usually get 4 mags on a fill but charge early as caution.

Favorite El Cheapo’s

I have a thing for cheap (inexpensive) lead & bb slingers. Fiddling with the triggers. Tuning. Customizing. Getting good accuracy. All types-PCP, Spring, C02, Pnumatic, rifles and pistols. These are some of my favorites. Diana Stormrider, Benjamin 397, Diana Chaser, Daisy 753, Hatsan 95, Crosman 760, Diana Chaser Pistol, Tangfolio Witness, Legends Luger, Ruger MKIV. Let’s see your favorite “Cheapo’s”.
Nice. What scope is on that Chaser???

On the front tank installation; you just drain the air and unscrew the front tank and screw the new one on. Or is there more to it than just that.
