Tune a Beeman R7?

I bought a Beeman R7 recently, and have been breaking it in. The JSB Exact RS Diabolo 7.33 grain pellet does the best, but others work out well. Question: Is it worth the money and effort to replace the original spring, or go with a tune using the Vortek Pro-Guide 4 Tuning Kit? And is that the best, or maybe the ARH Maccari kit? I am going for max smooth, not a harder-hitting gun.

Thomas Air Rifle

Thinking about getting a Thomas. The ultimate, right ? No fliers, no excuse for the ” rifles fault “. 100 % confidence in the pellet going where it’s supposed to go. The proof is in the targets and I have plenty of awesome Thomas targets. All this praise and joy. They’re must be some downside. Can some Thomas owners chime in and give me a reality check before I write the “ reality “ check. I have a 25 cal RAWfor long distance. A 8002 10 meter gun for inside. A 22 cal Dreamline for outdoor silhouette practice. I used to shoot a 30 BR at score matches and I really like the precise shot placement game.
HELP ME!!!

Not gunna happen(he said as he fell into the rabbit hole)

Pcp plunge.....nope.
Would be fun don't get me wrong. Just out of my price range really. First I would need a slinger then an air source and a closer shooting place....the only leg up I have is that i already have pellets🤦‍♂️😅 I have a decent setup selection wise🤷‍♂️nothing top notch but it's all mine and paid for, plus i enjoy what i already have...why get greedy now?🤙🥰 maybe in the future; just can't see if happening anytime soon.
If anything I would buy duplicates of what I own so that I could tinker into the old ones🤷‍♂️

Collection

Hi everyone, I’m new to airgun nation.. I have a collection of c02 pistols that I pulled out of my closet. I have a daisy Powerline 408, and 5170 (and others Gamo, Berettas, etc) that are in perfect condition (fired maybe once or twice). I noticed that they are no longer made by Daisy. I don’t have a need or use for them anymore, just wondering where the best place to possibly sell them would be? Thanks for your help

Old tom

I have an old tomcat forcing himself on me, right now. He is 19 years old and has been one of my best hunting partners, ever. He wants to be petted and loved. I cannot tell him no, as tomorrow may not exist for him. We must love the creatures who love us. We must take care of them, until death. Bob is 19+, years old.

Longer barrels is it just me ??

Hello this is my first post in this section. I would like to say I have two FX streamlines. A 22 and a 25 cal. I am finding that a longer barrel isn’t necessarily my friend when it comes to accuracy. At least I really think this is the case. I mainly shoot both off a bench. I find my 22 is much easier to consistently shoot penny size groups at 50 than my 25. I have shot many penny size groups out of the 25 so I know the gun is plenty capable but I can’t do it nearly as consistent. I can only figure it has to do with the longer barrel and more power in each shot of the 25 ?? The 25 even though benched is actually quite hold sensitive. It seems to want more love (held a bit more firmly) than the 22 requires. Does anyone else experience this ?

What is it about SWFA SS scopes that make them suitable (rugged enough) for air rifles?

I have several for my combustion rifles, and after reading here, I understand they have a following for the air rifle folks (i've read all the related threads). From what I know, SWFA does not advertise them as being air rifle "proof" or whatever. My question is what makes the SWFA SS line sufficiently different from other firearm scopes to enable them to not get shaken to death? And is it by specific design or just "luck" that they are GTG on air rifles?

I ask because I hope/plan to get into air rifle hunting for turkey and would like to use a scope I already have v. buying a specialized one.

Thanks.

NLA Testing the water

Hello all,

Got the following:

HP Series | SS MAX (Bolt Action) Pistol × 1 .35 Cal

AEA | HP SS Max .357 Cal | Challenger "BIG BORE" .357/.45/.50 Cal #A91 Moderator Adapters

EMPEROR V3 Moderator .308/.357 Cal | M18x1

UTG | Homeland Security Gun Case × 1 25" Homeland Security Gun Case

Saber Tactical | 52MM BOTTLE CLAMP ST0030

Arrived with mags that did not fit. Dissembled and repaired, immediately blew a seal. Fixed that. Probably 6 rounds fired.

Want to test the water for possible trade for rock solid .35, .45. 50 repeater. Decent high FPE. Prefer sidelever with decent moderator.

Ideas and thoughts for a trade?

NLA WTT Marauder Pistol with scope and folding stock for AF TalonP

I have a good condition Marauder Pistol with RAI folding stock, 3 mags, and Firefield Rapid Strike 1x6 scope for trade. The pistol itself is in good condition inside and out. There are scratches and wear marks from use on the folding stock as shown in the pictures. Although a fun little carbine, I prefer a rifle for the shooting I do. This would make a great plinker for a kid or small adult. Very easy to shoulder and pretty accurate. I’m getting 3 full mags into a dime size group at 25 from a 2500 psi fill with Crosman pellets. Better shooting with JSB. I can shoot a shot string for you with my current tune if you need it. Anyway, I’d like to trade for a TalonP. Below are the links to the accessories and gun if you are unsure of the value of my trade. These are new prices for reference. I can send more pictures if you need.

High speed slugs .22cal : the future for long range shooting.

Since a few months now I decided to go for 100 yards ( or more) shooting , especialy in bench rest competition , anf I thought that .30 cal was the caliber to go for. But it seems that more and more guns are designed to shoot high speed slugs , in smaller caliber like the .22 .
Do you think it would be the future for EBR , or is it better to stay with heavier calibre ? Or maybe to use heavy calibre AND high velocity ?

Raw/Impact Owners

I have been thinking about my impact a lot lately and was wondering if anyone that had had both, currently have both or have shot both and know. Can the raw keep up with the imapct accuracy wise and slightly power side? I like the impact but getting tired of all the extras I really enjoy the hobby and we all know it's a deep dark hole but I find myself getting sucked into the hype and needing the new liners, sleeves, transfer ports, power plenum, 720 plenum, power block, tungsten hammer, and that's not including the k&l and Saber stuff. Than I am thinking where will it leak from next or will my c1 come loose again and throw my tune. I know nothing with touch it for tune ability but I kind of just want to set it and shoot I am not a competition shooter but practice on a bench but I hunt and pest. Any input on the raw side would be greatly appreciated.

Semi-Auto PCP Bullpup List

HEY ADMIN/MODS... CAN YOU SLIDE THESE 2 THREADS OVER TO THE PCP FORUM?

Not sure as I have not found a "list" of options. Also have not found a way to sort or filter. So if this is already on here somewhere please point me in the direction and I will delete this thread.

Since there seems to be lots of, "what's the best xyz??" What if we just start a list of what's actually out there? With all of the knowledge in this place we could simply post up what you folks know, I will try and update a master list in this post and if you feel like deleting your post after I add it in the fine... Or you can leave it. Would it be too much to ask for similar lists in some more refined categories other than just PCP and springer categories?

No need to worry about caliber, it would just be a list for someone to find info on that they could then research themselves. A directory of sorts.

Let's see if I can get it started.
