3D Bits N Bobbles..

Before I get too far down this rabbit hole, I would like to gauge the interest in 3D printed parts. Mostly moderators and simple, multi use items. Specialized things like AG specific mags and such could be possible in the future.

I have both PLA filament printing capabilities as well as resin. I don't prefer PLA due to low melt and high deformation and low tolerances.

So I am primarily planning resin with "ABS-like" properties. Colors are limited but paint is cheap and easy.

This is a hobby to me as I work full time and have a life outside of here, but at the same time if I can score some scratch and save you guys some then we all win.
Here is a barrel band and "moderator" that I made on my Avenger. I don't have a sound meter so can't tell ya the exact reduction numbers but could send one to someone with one and they could review it with facts. The barrel band doesn't have the nuts n bolts yet but is real snug to start with so it should tighten up nicely.

This is a set of gauge covers for the Avenger. I can size it to what ya need if you get me a solid measurement.

I have a few other items in mind to make. Like I said mainly mods and bits but am not scared to take on a new idea. If you are able to send me a CAD/STL/usable file then I can probably get it printed.

So what do you folks think? Worth the try? Or waste of my time?

SOLD FX ROYAL 500 .25 Price Dropped

I purchased this awhile back and decided that I like shorter rifles or bullpups. It has been fully customized with a fully shroud barrel which is very effective. The overall length is still factory spec. 47". To install the shroud the bottle was removed and the air tube was installed. It has the FX Boss trigger group installed which breaks light and crisp. It does have the smooth twist barrel. It is setup to shoot Jsb 25gr @905fps and yields 44 regulated shots per fill or 4 magazines. Included is 3 magazines and fill probe. Holds air forever and performs as it should. Side cock lever is butter smooth. Previous owner said it will shoot m.o.a. @ 100yds with sorted pellets but I never shot it over 50yds. The magazines have small cracks in the cover but perform as they should. The stock has a bi-pod plate installed. Asking ( $800) $700

What is your +/- goal for acceptable accuracy?

I have been messing around with variables on the trajectory calculator and questioned how flat of an arc I could get if I wanted to shoot a 1/4" target. I was looking at how long the projectile would stay in that 1/4" zone. I used a +/- variance of 1/8". For my application I used a Diana Chaser .177 CO2 powered pellet pistol at 630FPS muzzle velocity, my calculations were 14+ yards. In that zone, the equipment would be able to hit a fly anywhere along that 14+ yard range. I may not have the skills, but the equipment could do the job. Are there any flaws in my thought process?

Is Benjamin too late to the party coming out with a .257 Bulldog?

I’m not into the big bore air guns really but I noticed this in the new catalog and I know some of you guys like the Benjamin Bulldog so I thought I’d point out that it’s going to be available in .257 now.
So what’s your guys thoughts on this? Is Benjamin too late to the party with this one?

Notos losing some psi between shoot sessions

Gentleman, Are any of you guys experiencing any air loss between shoot sessions ?

I believe I’ve seen a drop of only 200-250 over the course of 6 days

I didn’t just fill it and store it ( as the filling heats up tube raises pressure ) shot it … stored it at 2900 and came back to 2700 in 5-6 days

Anyone seeing any of that ?

Made my day

What an awesome start of a day. This is my day to jam everything into one day. First off I go the post office which is 20 miles away. I feel like I‘m going to see Sam Drucker in Hootersville to get my mail. Anyway, I get my parsels and lo and behold I got my order from Chambers in the UK. I ordered over two months ago. Bottom line it’s in my hands now. Just spare parts mostly foe the Weihrauch’s.

Next stop is the bank. I’ve been trying to wire finances to Vortek for almost 3 weeks. This is my 3rd attempt at bank. I could use several adjectives before the word bank, I’m holding back. I was assured it went through. Ordered a boat load of piston seals from Tom.
AGS was good for 10 tins JBL’s .177.
‘And last I go to my buddies fab plant. Last week when I stopped in he was absent. His worker gave me 5 disc plates. I gave him a spinner to duplicate with 1/4 stock.
‘Today I stopped in to say no hurry, and he had them done. Jackpot. 65 guaranteed for life spinners. These are deadly spinners.

These will take rimfire as well, no problem. Had no idea any of this was happening except the bank. Now I have to revamp my spinners. The rabbit hole gets another $440. today and that’s not Chambers or Vortek. Crow

Home made stock

Recently a buddy of mine asked me if I would make him a stock for his Thomas HPX benchrest rifle. His only request was that he could fire it from his shoulder. I had been wanting to build myself a stock for my RAW TM 1000….but never having built a rifle stock before, I agreed, hoping to learn a thing or two before bui one for myself. This is what I came up with……

Calling all regulated AEA challenger/pro owners

There seems to be NO clear cut answers as to the how much psi/per turn on the regulator. Without a gauge to see, it’s speculation and through all my research, 2 diff video and 1 post on here all have differing answers. A full turn = 100bar in one video, another says 120, on one of thr forums here, a user said 130-140. Does ANY AEA Challenger/challenger Pro have for sure documented evaluation while adjusting their regulator? It’s nuts that this info isn’t readily available since there is no gauge to tell you in the regulator.
