I have some wonderful news I’d love to share with everyone. RTI has been working on improving the assist valve in the Prophet2.
This year I had the wonderful opportunity to go to IWA in Nuremberg, Germany. While in Germany, I got to meet the incredible talented people of RTI. In our conversation, I asked them they were aware that the valves on the Prophet2 was experiencing problems. In fact they were, their lead designer shared their prototype valve design with me. I have to admit, I liked the design. Now, three weeks latter I received a package from RTI yesterday with the new valves.
This valve is going to be very easy to replace. It fits exactly in the same way that the original valve fits. The improved design benefited with a stronger material, new sealing ring locater, o-ring placement and spring centering point.

Here’s a picture of gen2, gen3, and now gen4.
Gen1 the only difference between gen2 is the hole size in the balance. The gen 1 has a larger hole. The smaller hole improves the dwell timing of the valve opening on the higher power guns.

Looking at pictures online it looks like it could possibly fit while using a small diameter LDC.

Anyone out there tried to pair a 700cc tank with the 380 barrel? I’m looking to eventually get a 500mm barrel. And I think it would look pretty cool with the 700cc bottle. However wondering if the 700cc will work temporarily on my 380 set up while keeping the noise level down.

Can be shot regged or un regged
130-140 shots from 200cc bottle sub 12ft lb.
Its very accurate and light and sits very well in the hand.
Definitely an improvement from the original tube shot count.

A thing happened on the way to work this morning.

I have had a real problem the last three nights. Besides my yard looking like John Daily and Walter Hagen teamed up and drank and gallon of booze and played night golf on my grass. The smell has been, well. …. Snoop Doog ish.

I had to wait him out as he was coming in late and hitting the bait .. first night the possum came in and ate a chicken leg , as I watched and hosed him away.. yup garden hose. ( I don’t shoot the good guys). must have came in after 2 am as I didn’t wait any longer.. He posted his revenge on my lawn for the possum getting his dinner.

Second night he decided to not show and eat in my neighbors trash, as I smelled him but couldn’t get any on him

I needed a couple of parts for my Impact and ordered them from FX and FX indicated that the parts were in stock. How long on average does it take for them to ship the part in your experience? I'm not in a super hurry to get them but don't want it drag on for months and months. If it takes too long there is a good chance that I won't even remember what they are for. LOL! Is anyone else using a dowel rod as inexpensive biodegradable pellets for short range targets? I am picking up 1’ sections of dowel rod, chucking it up in a hand drill, and mildly sanding using 220 grit to .22 caliber. I have found that accuracy is very good to 25 yards and lethal at 35 yards. On the chrony I am seeing about 1050 FPS on low power versus 850 FPS for 14.3gr lead on high power.

I use a pair of a PVC cutters/snips and have built a jig to ensure they are the same length and diameter.

Curious if anyone else is doing it?

This operation has been marketing themselves quite well over the last year, comendable. However, over last year and a half, I bought several different size ZAN slugs and on examination , found them a bit rough, not near as clean as , say , NSA or AVS slugs. Honestly, it appears ZAN follows the H&N formula for lead / antimony mix. You can see the generally darker grey that H&N products exibit. While NSA and AVS slugs appear much brighter and cleaner. Now grant you, AVS is currently pricier, but NSA is not. So, are folks going for the exotic?, slick marketing? Basically, how is ZAN different from NSA outside of formula mix?

How do you quantify fun ? where do you find the most fun with your airguns ?

If we are talking about strictly fun in my case it comes down to my Tangfolio 1911.

I have 3 magazines that I fill with only 10 rounds and rotate them so they never really get cold ( it also helps it never really goes under 80 degrees here and most of the time it's 85-90 )

Anyway, for me fun is to train quick draw and double tap, re-holster and do it again.

I bought this scope mainly out of curiosity and only had it on my Brocock long enough for testing. My conclusion was that for the money, this is actually a pretty decent scope. I did a short review on it when I first bought it, but I have much better scopes and just don't use it at all. Illuminated red/green, flip up covers, locking eyepiece, side parallax, dovetail mounts, and sun shade. Like new in the original box. $79.00 PayPal F&F or add for the fee. After sticking to PCPs ever since my plinking hobby started, I finally went out and purchased a breakbarrel! I went with the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen2 (.22) because of it's power, and of course it's main selling point: feeding pellets from a mag.


I shot my first groups today and holy cow this takes some getting used to! The recoil for one, and having to reset my shooting position after every shot. I absolutely loved it though! Not needing to refill and carry airtanks around is a godsent, and has really upped my time spent at the range by at least an hour, haha. Cocking the rifle after every shot is also a nice free workout

That said, any tips for a breakbarrel newcomer? Do's and don'ts, technique, accessories, ammo? For example, any decent scopes that are affordable yet effective for beginners? I currently have a very basic Gamo scope that came with the rifle, but I'm definitely planning to replace it, as this particular one has a fixed magnification. Other than that I'm just figuring stuff out as I go along I guess.

I'm thinning the herd so this is up for grabs. This is an almost new (actually better than new) Airforce TalonP Carbine .25 cal with extended tank (twice as many shots per fill), DonnyFL, custom buttstock and pistol grip. It is currently tuned for 33 grain JSB pellets. Very light, quiet and accurate. I currently have a Vortex Crossfire 2 MOA Red Dot mounted which can go with the rifle. This cost me over $1,000 and I'm selling everything except the red dot for $449 shipped CONUS assuming PayPal F&F. If you want the red dot, add another $80.
