Hi I change 2 orings in the my Dreamline and its still leaking through the vent hole is it possible the reg is leaking through vent hole.

After seeing some recent interest in shot counts for the newer 50 Joule rated versions of the HW100 I decided to do a chrony run on a fill with mine. I also wanted to fulfill a little curiosity regarding overfilling the rifle somewhat versus the affect it would have on the regulator. One of my scuba tanks, a 232 Bar steel version, still had enough pressure to do a 10% overfill so this what I tested with. Weihrauch specifies 200 Bar or 2900 psi and this fill was 220 Bar or 3190 psi according to the gauges. After 5 shots the gun's gauge was on the line dividing green from red, the marking for 200 Bar. Shooting was done with the 18 grain JSB pellets. I shot the Evanix Renegade rifle over the chrono, a Shooting Chrony F1, first to make sure that it was operating properly. I also overfilled it the same and the non-regulated rifle did not like that. Shooting the 28-1/2 grain Seneca Domes the initial velocity was 700 fps and didn't climb tp 800 fps until the gauge indicated 200 Bar. The velocities with the HW100S are as follows: 981, 970, 971, 965, 970, 975, 969, 972, 970, 974, 976, 983, 984, 984, 985, 975, 975, 976, 975, 975, 978, 977, 975, 976, 977, 975, 976, 976, 979, 978, 980, 980, 981, 980, (gauge at yellow line), 975, 968, 963, 953, 943.

From 3190 psi/220 Bar to the yellow line 9n the gauge brought 34 shots. Should make 28 shots from 2900 psi/200 Bar. I have not touched the factory setting of the regulation or hammer spring. Power with the 18 grain JSBs is 38 ft lbs or 51.5 Joules. The 10% overfill had no affect on the regulation. The Weihrauch gauge shows yellow at 120 Bar. There were actually 3 more shots past the beginning of the yellow zone at 975, 968 and 963 then the next two shots plummeted to 953 and 943. I stopped shooting there as it was about to come a thunderstorm, I picked up everything and barely finished getting all inside the house before it got rough out. The velocities were dropping sharply anyways.

I have the rifle zeroed at 43 yards and the ballistic calculations show 2 Mils holdover at 75 yards and 4 at 100 and actual shooting confirmed that.

On my Colt Defender, right side of the slide is a printed warning in white. Is there a way to remove it without marrring the black finish underneath?

Nearly new complete .177cal 700mm barrel kit. The key item here is the .177 700mm Superior Heavy Liner. It is almost impossible to get this liner in the US. It is great with the 16gr and 20gr Zan Slugs as it has a TR 1:18. I was shoot MOA or a bit larger at 100 yds using this barrel and the 20gr Zan slugs. The barrel can be used on any FX rifle, but the current kit is set up for a Maverick or Wildcat MkIII. That includes the barrel shroud and .177 pellet probe (I got more accuracy using the pellet probe than using the pin-style slug probe). The kit also includes a 700mm CF barrel sleeve.

Hi Guys , another early morning shoot ,
the owner rang me about the rats around his chickens
,so i arrived on site at 04-30 am to a lovely morning,
parked up and got my .22cal Crossman Icon out set up about 25 yds from chicken pen
chickens still locked up till 09-00 am so all clear for me,
4-5 rats around but i settled down and soon got a bead on a medium sized rat feeding on some loose feed, i got a head shot that pinned it to the floor, all other rats fled ,
but back out 20 mins later, i shot one in the back of its head the other a heart/lung shot.
i managed another 3 rats, before time for my breakfast
muesli ,Toast & and a large coffee.

Ok - scope divas - which scope actually ranges best, as in spreads out the focus wheel numbers better between 40-55 yards.
Even with a big ol scope wheels it is very difficult to differentiate between 1 yard changes / yardage while range focusing or bracketing from 40-55 yards.
Any help is appreciated.

Any major downsides to using a soft case for general travel in the back of an SUV? Coming from power burners I mainly use soft case with hard cases reserved for airline travel. FX with mod is too long for the factory case.

1" shoot and see dot. 85 yards out. 10 shots using AA 25.39 Gr (unsorted) pellets shot out of Daystate Wolverine Forester R Hp at a distance of 85 yards in a noticeable breeze. Unreal. One for the books.

Just received my Maverick back from fx. They didn’t put the power wheel assembly back in the right spot. I meant to tell them where it was when I took it off (sent it disassembled) but forgot. However I would have expected the tech to tell it wasn’t right immediately like I did. Number 3 was clearly number 7 producing the hardest hammer hit. It was blatantly obvious. Anyway I digress, I went to change it and my dumb butt lost that little bearing behind the wheel. Ugh….I think it’s 3mm size? Does anyone know for sure before I order them from Amazon? Thank you much.

I have a FX Maverick Sniper in .22 and the velocity is all over the place. The first few shots will be 975 (where I want them) then they fall off after that. They will go to 954, 948, 920, 890 and so on. Any suggestions to fix the problem?

Big Red Wasp, killed it with the Uragan .25 Dry fired Air Blast up close, these things are MEAN.... I had to move very slowly, Airgun does the job, Bug-a-salt didn't....

Both of these PCPs have been simply amazing to me, the Atomic XR was a new, eye opening experience for me. The small, sweet handling size, lower power (17 FPE), and shot count (33 shots) really belies the true abilities of this sweet little gun. The Pathfinder XR is a more familiar gun because I owned a Bantam Sniper HR. Mine, as delivered is producing 20-25 FPE and yields approximately 80+ shots from a 250 BAR fill. Power wise, not far off from the standard 30 FPE PCPs. I’m not a formal target shooter and no longer compete in “run and gun” competitions. I like to plink and pest in no particular order. Both of these guns have been simply taken out of the box. Scopes mounted and then lots of good shooting…

PS: The reason for my post? Am going to take my pup on a walk about and the beasties are vying for my attention. I believe the Atomic will get the nod…

A friend told me that he uses slugs exclusively. JSB Knockout are his favourite slugs in .22.

He further advised that he shoots these slugs at 1000fps and above and he achieves 1" to one quarter inch group at 100 yards.

Further he has done good shooting at beyond 200 yards.

He left his Impact with me alongwith slugs.

I chronied it and it was shooting 1010fps.

I tested the gun at my home range that is only 24 yards. But no good group couldbeachieved. A bit of shotgun pattern.

I called my friend on phone and discussed it with him that how he achieves accuracy.

He advised that at 24 yards, slugs are not accurate hence I should go out to at least 50 yards for testing.

I went out and shot a few groups at 60 yards and the same slugs were shooting around 1/2".

I am not a slug shooter but I witnessed myself this all.

I am unable to understand it.

Please discuss it and guide me that how a bad group at 24 yards becomes good group at longer distances with slugs.

Is it just a one of incident or its a regular behaviour of slugs?

I really like this scope. The reticle works for me and while sighting in on my .25 Avenger at 35 yards the pellets are stacking on top of each other. Only problem is The elevation locking ring is stuck allowing the turret to turn. Any suggestions on how to losen locking ring ?Also when adjusting windage because point of impact was slightly right turning turret left nothing happened. So I turned right and looking through scope my reticle in fact moved left. Is that normal? I tested this today while in my garage with a target on garage door and rifle locked down I could clearly see my reticle move. Obviously I did not shoot. I will try to get to the range soon.

Well since I’m on the 10 day probation and did nothing but research yesterday and couldn’t message another member about the gun I thought I wanted, I ended up talking with the pellet shop and decided to buy once cry once and got the FX Panthera compact hunter 30 cal. Im pretty pumped about getting it. Let’s see them compact builds and pics. What’s the animals you’ve hunted with it and what moderator is your favorite?

My wife got sick of rabbits in our yard so I went to Walmart and grabbed a Gamo 10x. I grew up shooting BB guns but was never into them as an adult. Then I went on YouTube Was recommended the EDGun channel and now I think I have another expensive hobby! Might have to get an AEA in 25 or 30. Thanks for this great resource. I miss old school, traditional forums.
