Taking my morning walk and saw a big fox squirrel on my neighbor’s roof few houses down. Watches it go under an eave sniffing around clearly looking for a luxurious new home, so I took a picture. That house has flat roof tiles so I figured it won’t get it…….to my shock the squirrel all of sudden disappeared! Then I can hear the chewing/renovation work site noise. Thank god it’s not my house!!!


The crazy part is, as I got back to my house I saw run off on my own fence!!! Now I’m more paranoid than ever, stay vigilant my friends!

So how did they do? It seems Skout was totally overshadowed by the new Karma Red Panda. I didn't see any Skout in the Pro finals? What's difficult to discern; is this because Karma had significantly better shooters or is the Karma RP that much better? Hard to say...

Looking for to get a spotting scope for 100 yard shooting. What do you say is the minimum power I need to see .22 holes with?

The FX Dynamic is a pneumatic rifle built for more than competition. It’s a rifle that wants to hunt. The FX Dynamic can be built and offered in multiple configurations:

• The Dynamic Express has a 480cc carbon fiber bottle placed directly behind the action with a molded tank cover, cheek rest & butt pad. In front of the action is a 14.75” long Arca rail complete with M-LOK sections, bridge and a barricade block.
• The Dynamic Double Express replaces the front Arca rail with an additional bottle. This allows for an immense amount of onboard air storage that can easily surpass 1,000cc of air volume.
• The Dynamic AR uses a front placed carbon fiber bottle and replaces the rear bottle with a folding AR stock receiver (AR stock and buffer tube sold separately).
• The rifle will also be offered in the budget friendly Dynamic VP configuration. The rear bottle is a 400cc aluminum bottle (still wrapped with the FX molded cheek cover and butt pad). The VP ships without a hardcase and is also without the front FX arca rail, leaving it bare for future upgrades or to be configured to shooters needs.

All configurations will be offered in .177, .22, .25, .30 & .35 calibers. Three barrel lengths will be available, the Dynamic 500, 600 & 700 (corresponding to barrel length). The Dynamic 600 & 700 ship with the FX Superior Slug liner as standard. The Dynamic 500 uses the standard FX Superior STX barrel liner (500mm heavy liners are sold separately).

I have resisted this as I sort bullets for my long range PB shooting, not my favorite task. So yesterday I sorted 2 different pellets. First thing I learned......It's laughable they even mark a size on the tin. One tin I it took over 50 pellets to find one as labeled. The other tin it took over 20. Second thing I learned. There was a size my. 177 TX200 preferred. Third, different sizes have a different POI. The difference is small but it does add to your group size shooting unsorted. Overall opinions, first pellets are junk.....secondly for optimum performance it is a must. These were both the same brand, I will try some others. I expect I will get similar results.

The CO2 loading process is finicky and I've experimented with various O-ring materials at the fill cap. Best I can say is review the advice given by Dr Beeman in years past and be  patient when trying to switch out caplets.



Safety switch is damaged and left in fire position. As the rifle is cock-on-close this is not, in my opinion, an issue requiring correction.

just wondering if anyone has a suggestion to stretch out the range of my American tactical liberty nova 22.. I can get 2 inch groups at 160 yards but if I go back to 170 yards I pretty much miss a 24 inch target and it's all over the place.. the liberty nova is a prerunner of the avenger but it only has the tank gauge and the port adjustment like the average x.. so I have tried several different pellets, all similar results.. haven't tried lead rounds yet and I was thinking about trying lead slugs but I don't want to buy a box of ammo that I can't shoot.. does anyone have any suggestions on the caliber for the slugs? any other ideas.. I can easily hit the target with 22 rimfire at 1/4 mile but I really want to stretch out the airgun.. or am I just at it's limit?

I've been trying out different trigger setups for my two Royale 400's and having some fun. I decided to put a Boss trigger in one and leave the other one stock and tune them both to the best of my abilities. Here are the results after one day of tuning.
Boss trigger....well getting it in and even close to ready to tune is a pain. I've found that the adj screw in the intermediate lever is used to get the sear to trip within the adjustment range of the first and second stage screws on the trigger lever. Once properly set, you have a very narrow range of adjustment of stages. I also had some binding on the housing that needed attention. The best I got was a miniscule 1st stage and a solid wall with about 10oz trigger. Good but not match by any means. There is no return of 1st stage, but I'm pretty sure I can adjust that in once I get it properly tuned. This is one weird trigger design, but I think once it's figured out, I can make it much lighter. Some of the problems I'm having stem from not having proper 3mm flat head screws to mount the trigger block. More work to be done.

Stock trigger...I decided to just tune, no polishing on this first run. By clipping the spring and adjusting the screws I ended up with a very reasonable 1 stage with maybe 2 Oz and a second stage wall which was easy to feel and a 6 oz trigger. The trigger does not return after first stage take up, but you still enjoy the safety of greater sear engagement. Definitely match grade here. With some more work, polishing and moly lube, it might even return on first stage, but I'm really happy with the super clean release.

After the first day of tinkering, I'm thinking I can make the stock trigger better with less work. I'm really not hung up on the first stage return as I almost never decide to not shoot after commiting. I'm also going to watch some videos and read the Boss manual for some pointers.

Whichever one sells first I will keep the other one.

Is there a specific twist rate that is typicly used for slugs? vs Pellets?

Also, should a slug barrel always be unchoked?

I have been asked to help develop a slug barrel, but I think the company may be off track, they sent me 2 choked LW barrels. (that shoot like crap).

I have a talon .22cal.. this was a talon ss but switched out the barrel for a 18in barrel.. comes with mad dog target stock.. (the stock has a few bumps and a small crack but it's been fixed with epoxy .. you can see it in the pic..).. has a Donnyfl adapter.. everything works as it should. This little 22 will put out over 60fpe.. great little gun but I want to try a good Springer.. I would like one in 22cal .. plz let me know what you have.. thanks

So I got this rare stock Diana 34 .177 cal. Found it for $55. Turns out it did not need a single thing. Cocked real smooth and no spring twang. Being the man I am…I opened it up regardless. Seal was a little chipped, but I had a new one on hand. Replaced that. Guide rod was loose. To remedy that issue (for all those tuners out there this is something cool I picked up if you want to fit a guide rod on a budget)…you bend the spring slightly on one end. Then when you insert the factory guide rod…it will straighten the spring out and fit real snug. I also installed a PTFE sleeve. There is absolutely zero spring noise. Re-lubed and reassembled.

The bluing was rusty on some parts. Removed the rust and now I intend to cold blue. Not really going after a perfect finish since it is a $55 rifle. Rifling looks good.

What I need opinions on is…how should I go about the stock? I want to keep the red paint...should I just can it? What paint would match the current paint?
