Unless the discussion is referring to a “Match Springer” as in a Feinwerkbau 300, Diana 75, possibly a Weihrauch 55, or the like, it seems to me the word “Target and Springer” are a contradiction of terms. Yet this term is used quite often with springers that shoot quarter and larger size groups at mere 20 yards. I guess I’m old school but “Target Accuracy” once meant a single hole in the dead center of a bull at 10 meters. Just wondering if I didn’t get the memo. What does “Target Accuracy” with a springer mean to yall?
Target vs Pesting?

I was in the process to put back the CF bottle and all of a sudden it started hissing and would not seal. I took it off and on a couple of times today to set my regs and had no issues.

See pictures....what did I damage? Did I strip the threads around the nozzle or in the bottle?

What is the fix to this?

I was looking forward to enjoying today and tomorrow as we have not had good weather in a while but this completely put a wrench in my plans of tinkering and getting my gun set-up how I wanted.

I'm sorry if this is the incorrect forum.

I'm looking for the single first PCP Rifle both reliable and accurate for both hunting larger game and economical plinking. Is this unrealistic?

I'm a lefty tired of being assaulted by ejected shells from right handed weapons happy to discover the myriad of ambidextrous guns in PCP.

I love the small tactical platforms with short barrels.

In my quest it seems that .25 and .30 caliber are common but are they realistic for mid to larger game such as coyotes and deer or would I be afflicting the poor animal?

Is the best gun actually two guns, one for plinking and one for hunting?

All of my weapons in the past are semi auto so I've had to suppress my desire for another in PCP's since the concensus has determined they're not yet reliable.

I know my selection comes at a cost looking at Brocock, Kalibrgun, RTI, AGT, Hatsan, FX, Western, and now the seemingly non existent for the market Karma weapons to name just a few.

Am I on the right track or should I consider larger caliber and longer barrels?

Heading out for an Orchard walkthrough where I have been asked to deploy my deadly trinity of BRKs… To say I am excited is an understatement as I use to hunt on this property many years ago. The main targets at the moment will be woodchucks, but there are other pests to be had…. So I get to showcase my little BRK beasties to the property manager who is also of fellow member of the Sportsmen’s club I belong to… a win win, Saturday… Packed up and ready to go…

Was doing my morning coffee/starling watching routine when this guy just popped up into my firing line. I really thought about shooting him, but no need.




I did find out who's been eating all the bait I put out though




He was over there munching on the corn and sunflower seeds I leave out for squirrels and pest birds.

Been without a gun vise for a while, and have had a bunch of scraps/salvaged wood from broken furniture hanging around. Still need to incorporate an organizer tray for tools and parts. Knock down some sharp edges, finish gluing on the leather pads etc. It's together enough for proof of concept to check my dimensions work. Holds the rifle upright and very secure. Should make cleaning, mounting scopes, and other gun chores a breeze.

I know there has to be a few of you out there that have made these. At least 1 guy I saw selling them in the classified section, his ad may have been an inspiration to put something together. While our designs are not the same, a good idea is a good idea and I'm glad I came across his work. If you have pics of your own designs I would love to see them.

Ordered pellets from Xtreme Slugs on March 10th. Received notice that he had gotten my order. Heard nothing for two weeks. Sent repeated emails requesting info on pellet order. I finally asked for a refund, got a notice that shipping label was created. Nothing has ever been shipped. His excuse is the molds were damaged and unable to make pellets. Said he would send some slugs in place of, no notice of any shipping ever received and now he is totally ignoring emails. This has all the appearances of a total rip off. Beware of this site.

I admit I get a little obsessive about it especially when I know the gun is capable. However how important really is it ? I ask as I’m struggling with a 700 mm .30 mk2 to get it better than 870-890. With a 18-20 fps spread it still will make one ragged hole at 55 yards. For general hunting purposes how far out do you think I can shoot before that really starts making a significant difference? Still making small tweaks. My M3 and Maverick are much tighter spreads but I think I may be worrying more than needed ?

I wanted to know from those shooting heavy. 25 slugs what is the twist used .I want to have a tj made for my AF.. that all could benefit since I have to had the tooling made.. I also since I'm already having tooling made I want to make one in .177
So for .25 is 1-15.5 .. or 1-16 ..?
For .177 .. should we try 1-8 or 1-9 .. 1-9 is the twist used to shoot 26gr cast slugs in .172 .. I really don't see my self buying many more guns but .. I could have plenty of different barrels to play with my AF guns.

The term game changer gets thrown around so often that frankly gets a bit annoing.

What do you think the real game changers where/are ?

the first Daystate electronic guns ?...they sure could qualify as game changers but really did not create a run into make similar gun in the industry so really the game was not changed, right ?

The Impact ?....They sure came out with something different and looking at today's line ups there is a ton of companies following both the looks and features, so in my opinion the Impact was indeed a game changer,....in my opinion.

Huben ?....Well they came out with something radically different and even if not many some companies copied the idea a couple did,....then the Pistol came out and that is a legit game changer.

So the subject says it. ( lol ) I "need" another gun like a need another hole in my head but . . . I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one up from Tony @Talontunes. Keeping it simple I just grabbed one of the black synthetic stock ones. For those of you who have one - straight out of the box - am I going to be able to chuck at least 30g slugs at speed. Speed being 950+. My RTI P1 w/the latest RPB barrel is chucking 25g H&N HP II's at 965'ish quite well and that's "only" a 600mm barrel. Curious to hear from any of you who have one / had one how your experiences were with yours right out of the box. Thanks guys.

After about 30-40 shots with my springer pistols I get this feeling that it’s almost time to refill the air..then I remember there is NO air tube! Been shooting pcp guns so long my brain has grown accustomed to this routine of shoot and fill. This is not to say I dislike my pcp guns now but I do appreciate the freedom of not having to refill the air reservoir. Having to cock the barrel and load the pellet kinda reminds me of shooting my recurve bow so no issue there. These 2 springer pistols get just as much shooting time as my pcp pistols.

On a side note: it’s crazy how the tempest is almost as powerful as the Diana at half the size.
