Anyone ever mess with this particular rifle? This is the standard Rifle, not the bullpup. I bought a used one in 22. It's a pretty standard take on a traditional air rifle. It has a terry decent trigger once I figured it all out, and got it tuned. The magazine is similar to the Weihrauch HW100, simple and effective. The mag latch is a bit different, it has two positions, auto or manual rotation. Wierd, but works well. It has a CZ barrel and as is typical, accuracy is amazing. Every group right from sighting in a new scope to testing a couple different pellets at 30M has been one hole, even Walmart Crosman hollow points. It seems to love everything. I have a Katran in 177 and those CZ barrels are pretty amazing. Haven't put it over the chrony yet, but it's hitting fairly hard.
Anyone else had experience with the carbine version? They seem pretty rare. I guess the newer, more easily adjustable, tactical style guns are more popular.

This is a rigid, full-size tripod, with thick (36mm / 1.4 inch diameter) top leg portions, and 10 layers of carbon fiber. I chose it primarily for standing & sitting shooting in my yard and permissions, where its weight (about 6 pounds) isn’t an issue, but rather a benefit. A great feature of this style of tripod is the quick swappable platform. You can rapidly switch from one type of head to another (potentially with guns/spotting scopes/etc. already attached) without unscrewing anything - unlock the platform with a 1/2 turn of its clamp, then push the red release button - that's all it takes to remove it. Additional platforms are about $30 each.

It includes a nice padded bag with room for an attached head, a swappable platform (with standard 3/8 inch stud, for common bases), a 75mm bowl (used for leveling bases and video heads), spike and rubber feet, and a few Allen wrenches, all in the original box.

This is a well-engineered head, with a 50mm ball and “motorcycle throttle-style main knob for rapid adjustment.” It is very smooth, and has a separate friction adjustment to allow for finer control. It sits on a lockable panning base, and so allows a variety of movement controls. It has a 3/8 inch threaded hole on the bottom for attaching directly to a tripod, or platform (as on the tripod above). It incorporates an Arca-Swiss compatible clamp, and includes a 70mm (~2-3/4") plate with 1/4" stud (FYI I have attached my similar plate directly to my Taipan Veteran stock, after removing the 1/4" stud).

This and other sizes of this head (e.g. MH-60) are well-reviewed on this forum.

This head was included in the box with the tripod when I bought it, and so does not include a separate retail box.

I've seen WAY too many "experts" (YouTube, and photos on this site) attempt to polish/smooth trigger parts...BADLY !
So here's a little help.

The way that many seem to be doing the work are actually changing the angles of the given sliding parts and doing more harm than good. Using "round" stones to polish "flat" parts (!!!), WHAT THE F... .

Anyway, here's a way to keep the, as designed surface angles CORRECT while completing the polishing process, WITH...minimum material removal.


Works on many different metals, and parts.

I dont KNOW that it is. But with two of my three scopes i cannot raise poi enuff. Still inches low. Anybody know what gives? Up for sale I have two almost new scopes . First is a basically new hawke frontier 34mm ffp scope and the second is hawke new gen sidewinder but this one I have to keep rings. The frontier 34mm is $650 just scope shipped and sidewinder is $350 shipped you pay pp fee.

So recently bought a pretty nice condition diana 66 to go in my giss rifle collection, but.....when the rifle showed up, the barrel is stamped 4.5/.177 as one would expect, but a .177 pellet just fell right through the barrel when I went to load it. What does fit in there perfectly is a .22 pellet, and there is no rifling inside the bore......you read that right, it's now a .22 smoothbore! Please help me understand what reasoning someone would have had to do this? Dart gun for a club maybe? That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense. Or is there a possibility this was done by the factory for some reason? I'm pretty upset, as this was not disclosed when I bought the rifle. Am thinking of returning it, which sucks because I love the rifle otherwise....but if I kept it the odds of me finding a good barrel are about as good as getting struck by lightning I'm thinking any info or opinions on this strange rifle would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Was very fortunate to get an Ed Gun Leshiy in .25 with the extended barrel kit. What a cool gun. Now back to the title of this thread. I did a 25-shot string. 1-16 were very constant. 17-22 increased in speed and 23-25 fell off as I thought they would. Pellets were Barracudas with a fill of 250 bar down to 400 bar. Can anyone explain shots 17-22?

I have had this rifle for two weeks and can't find anything I dont like about it.
I use this to shoot sparrows and starlings from my back porch. Most of my shots are less than 40 yards with a few around 55 yards. This rifle will shoot quarter size groups all day long. I am shooting the Crosman premier domed 14.3 and the H & N 14.6 . So far the Crosman premier are more accurate than the H&N pellets. I have about 200 shots through the rifle and it already is getting smoother to cock. It is a pretty stout rifle to cock. I don't have any fancy device to tell me
how fast or powerful this rifle is but it shoots holes through targets I have been shooting with my Crosman Trail NP .22 and it just dents the metal.
Anyhow I highly recommend this rifle and I am saving to buy the longer barrel version. Keystone Air Guns is a pleasure to deal with. Jon treats you like a friend and not a customer .

Last couple of weeks of Olympic shooting has sparked numerous conversations about airguns, which always happens.

But what keeps coming up is the use of single hand non support.
Can anybody honestly say they can shoot single hand non support better than one hand support?

Okay so I've been reading and reading and pondering, etc.. LOL Im pretty sure I am getting the 700 Panthera 0.25 next month, and been going over slugs, tunes, etc. Seems like the Alteros Slugs are the top ones currently.

I've also ready and been advised that statying at 900 FPS is the sweet spot for these. So I was playing around with the ballistic calculators and was comparing the 49 and 66 grain Alteros slugs. When Iplug in these values nothing really changes in terms of drop and drift. I'm not changing their respective BC but just wright.

So does slug wait change anything with everything else the same (Other then the FPE at impact)

Trying to learn as much as possible before finalizing my decision. Initially was thinking 0.30 CAL, but thats just the need the biggest version of something in me Im sure you guys can relate to that.. LOL

so far did the buck n rail accessories Hawke 4-16 x50 sidewinder Scope also added a 15cc plenum and also adding the 30cc as well
ordered the 380mm FX barrel kit from c88 on ebay hoping to get a little more accuracy and fps
i figure in all reality going from 300 to 380 the extra plenum volume i added should be enough
if not i did buy a 300cc carbon tank and the Huban external regulator

anyone done the barrel swap? ive talked to 2 people and they say there in the 780 to 800fps range with 1/2-dollar groups at 50 yards 28-33 fpe
only going by pics on the forums but sounds realistic
they also were talking about doing some port work but only issue i see is that block behind the air cylinder having like a 2.5mm passage
that to me looks like a restriction
i had thought of opening up to maybe 3.5 but not sure if that block is available in case it dont wok so well
