Hi everyone! We’re not sure what direction to go in and could use some advice. We currently have an M3 .22 sniper and we’re looking to add a .30 to the collection for hunting coyotes and raccoons. Do we repurpose/upgrade/refresh the m3 to a .30 slugger or buy a Vulcan 3 hp .30? What would you do considering the parts alone to upgrade the m3 will cost about $900 vs a purpose built .30 slugger from the factory? This is the parts list:
1. .30 700mm tensioned slug barrel kit
2. oem shroud with 3d printed end cap to fit over the tensioner
3. Orion mags
4. high pressure Huma reg
5. Huma or maybe tungsten hammer
6. oring rebuild kit
7. mubhaur’s front plenum part that fixes oring stiction….all said and done parts cost ~$900 on top of the $2K+ price tag.

We recently acquired an AGT Uragan 2 .25 carbon and I’m blown away by its ruggedness, dependability, simplicity and accuracy. It’s as accurate as the m3 .22 sniper out to 120 yards (testing out to 175 yards soon) and there is NO NEED for aftermarket parts. Heck it doesn’t even require a moderator shooting at 75 fpe! A Mod40 had no effect on quieting it down whatsoever.

I would love to hear from you guys that have owned one or the other, or both! What direction would you go in and why? I truly appreciate all advice and/or input!

here's 6 5-shot groups on 50m with the VULCAN 3 HP .30 with one fill and factory reg and HS settings from a bench with a cheap bipod and no back-bag.

to my surprize, the best group (but only by a mm) was the 3rd with the super cheap low quality hand-knurled KINGPB-82 brand 63gr slugs i got form a special offer at Krale. (i also adjusted the scope for this group, based on the results of the 2 previous groups.)

i wanted to find out how the lighter 54gr vs. the 63gr and 68gr are, since i am looking for a slug mold. i would very much like to try out the

NOE 300-68-FN-BI3 4 Cavity RG4 BT slugs and get one of the molds, but they are sold out. (looking for one in the classifieds!) i think they will be the better choice for long distances from what i've read here.​

Ok just got my impact m4 and trying to get to around 950 fps with around 26-32 grain slugs and the gun won't do it. I'm getting around 850's fps
I heard a stock impact should shoot up to around 34 grain slugs before mods.
I also seen the threads of the cold shot problems with the o-ring and rod issues.
So I'm curious if my expectations of a stock fx are wrong and need a heavier hammer or if I should take the gun apart and inspect if for some issues?
I've tried bumping the reg til it won't shoot any higher, maxed out the hammer tension settings and maxed out valve adjustment. Then turned all down etc etc tried a lot before asking.

While I really don’t enjoy shooting off of a bench, it can be a useful tool when testing different products and tunes.

For years I’ve shot off of a Lifetime (like Rubbermaid) portable table, then recently I purchased a Caldwell Stable Table. Both did ok for what they were, but I needed something less portable and sturdier.

I just bought this 2ft x 4ft bamboo and steel beast. It weighs about 50 lbs, is rated to hold 2000 lbs, is height adjustable, and has leveling caster feet. I haven’t shot off it yet, but I can tell that it’s not going to flex and change my POI from the slightest external input.



What kind of table have you found works best for you?

I want to increase the fps of my rifle by at least 100 fps. I'm curious if a heavier hammer and spring will help me get to my goal or is itsomething unatainable with a short barreled rifle.

I have an older (1970?) HW35 that has been converted to a plastic piston seal. I want to change it back to a leather seal. I have the leather seal on order but I can't find the other parts I need. From pictures, it looks like I would need a plastic cup like part to fit inside the leather seal and a round nut to thread on and hold everything together. I can make the parts but I need the dimensions. Does anyone have any of these lying around that could measure them for me? I assume every time a conversion kit is sold someone has these leftover parts.

Was tuning my MA2 .25 and zeroing my scope when I walked to the back of the house and saw some squirrels playing. 5 min of hunting. I forgot to hit record on the scope or id have footage . All around 35 yards, had another shot at 45 but had too many twigs in sight line.

Well, went out this morning after all the rain we have got the last few days for a quick sit. Got there around 730 and got 2 fox squirrels down. The creek is full of water so I had to go back and get the waders on to cross so don't take any pics of the recovered ones. Don't want to lose the phone so left it at home. I was able to take a pic of one on ground but hard to see. I took the impact compact out in 25cal.

I just finished this as new 18 year old tank. These are government surplus units that have been stored for possible future use. I removed the CGA - 347 valve , inspected the tank for any issues , then replaced it with an air gun specific valve . Included is a 20" micro bore hose with female foster fittings at both ends. This tank is past it's "15 year service life " and therefore will not be filled by any commercial entity. You must have your own source for high pressure air and use at your own risks. I use these tanks myself as well as most of my friends. They are overbuilt for breathing air in tough environments. Selling for $150, plus shipping to the conus. Selling my lightly upgraded Gamo Coyote in 22 Cal. Has the barrel band removed, longer screw trigger mod, transfer-port bored out and hand aligned with the barrel port, lastly a pic rail added to the forend to attach a bipod or light etc. Comes with fill probe and one factory mag (bipod not incl). Has normal handling marks but overall in really good shape.

Loves Hades or Atomics and also H&N Barracuda Heavy. It will also push the 17.5g Nielsen slugs at a respectable speed ~800fps with room to go up, but I havent tested for accuracy. Current settings it gets somewhere around 50 shots under the curve if memory serves correctly. I would like to sell or trade for $285 Now $265 SHIPPED WHERE LEGAL.

I am long time hunter & shooter that at one time or another has competed in virtually every shooting discipline save one, air gunning. I don’t say that to boast, but rather to give some context.

I am finally setting my eye on this sport & as I look at the various guns & equipment of FT I am frankly amazed. For the 1st time in decades I am in position where I don’t know what I don’t know. Worse still, I really don’t have the gumption of spending weeks researching every rifle & scope so if y’all could provide some suggestions I would be most appreciative!

While I have read the 177 vs 22 controversy I believe I would prefer a 22 anyway because it will likely get used for critter killin as well as HFT. Im old school so would prefer a nice wood stock as opposed to synthetic. I would also ask for a recommendations as to what glass to put on it.

The only other question is price. While I am blessed to be able to afford to buy what I want, I won’t spend a lot just because I can. I have to perceive some value in it so if you could, qualify your recommendations on why that is what I should get. I know a lot of it will be highly subjective but its your opinions & insights that I am looking for.

Finally, I love classic looking rifles & I like bullpups, I have no interest in something that looks like it belongs on the set of Star Wars.

So we spending thousands on the fx impact. It comes stock at $2100-2199. Then we spend around another thousand on aftermarket. Then when it's time to resale, you cant even sell the impact at $1000 lmao. This is crazy. The fx impact imo is the worst value and resale gun of all time. With other guns you expect to take about 25-30% lose when resale. But the fx impact even over 50% loose it doesn't even sell. I've seen impacts mk1/mk2 with upgrades going for about $1050-1100 and they not selling at all. People spending near 3k (with upgrades) and can't even sell it back at $1000..smh. what the hell is going on here?????
