Kind of need one for ballistic calculations and I am a newer to the sport so I have a list of things I need, this being one of them. Anyways I don't know if the cheap ones are any good or if I should just bite the bullet and buy one at AOA.

just got my new sniper fx impack m4 25 cal. today. put a arkin 5x25 x56 eye ball on it and went out back to give it a try. oh my first shot thought it did not shoot lol that thing is so quiet its un real, and thats the moderator that came with it. i have a aea 25 chalenger 25 with a yokozuma on it so i tried it on the fx what a joke 200 dollars for the zuma no comparison what so ever the factory one that came with the fx beats the heack out of the zuma

Ok I think this is a bad design for the fx impact. The barrel is held in place by 1 sets setscrew. That screw is tighten on the barrel housing. It bites into the housing and damages it. I think this is bad design on fx. Why didn't they use a clamp style so when you tighten the screw it clamps the barrel into place. Or another way I think is better is drill a hole but not all the way through. So it would line up with the setscrew. When you screw the nut in it will line up with the hole and hold the barrel in place. I think these are better design than just having the setscrew bite into the house. Anyone have a way to prevent the housing from damage from the set screw? Maybe use a plastic set screw in place of the metal one?

Hello everyone. I'm in the market for a reliable hand pump in which I prefer over an electric pcp air compressor. Something that goes up to 5000psi. I've had a few pumps so far and they both craped out on me. I damaged my compressor that's rated at 4500psi on my huben gk1 pistol which everyone knows is 5000psi max fill lol. And recommendations?

Have a 22 cal wildcat m3 compact bottle version. Plenty of power, power level 1 about 30 FPE or 16g pellet about 890. power level 7 about 50 FPE. or 28g at 890. Sabar tactical top rail, oversize cocking lever with knurl. comes with 3 custom designed mags made by a fellow member. These are deeper than the factory fx mags. This allows longer projectiles like the 25.4 jsb MR and the 28g Grands. slugs are no problem. the barrel end is a single slug transfer port. As with the mags being custom, and deeper than the factory mags, it will require a slightly different technique to load them and remove them. I will post a video explaining it. Now I'm not the original owner of this gun, there have been some modifications made with the top rail obviously but there are some mods on the stock on it's bottom surface, I'll add pics, one is a pic rail the other I think is for a rear adjustable monopod, but I can't be sure. I hadn't noticed it and it was pointed out be a prospective buyer recently. Gun comes with it's own case as well. I have an airgun store at a local level that isn't doing well locally because of lack of interest and I about at a point where I can no longer even feed my family so a sale would be appreciated.

I was out with a friend target practicing in wooded area last Friday & got surrounded by 4 police officers! I had over 3000$ worth of equipment confiscated. 2 air rifles that had expensive optics as well as 2 expensive bags, a 400$ 90ci air bottle tools etc.. there were 3 town cops & one state police officer. The state police officer after being on the phone with one of his superiors for over 10 minutes, came to the decision to confiscate ALL of my gear! I repeatedly asked why he was taking everything from me and was told smiling while he said: "it's for my investigation", & that all of my stuff will be destroyed!" We than got escorted out of the woods, @ was told that we'll be receiving a summons in the mail. He also said that reason being was that I was within 100ft of a dwelling which was untrue for we were in the woods... I do have a lawyer, but he's never experienced anything like this before, & from what I gathered neither did the State Trooper... I live in Massachusetts, & had no idea that what I was doing was wrong, for I had my targets low in the ground & a big boulder behind it.. I have a fishing & hunting license, & 20 years+ over 18 (yet was not hunting).. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, Ty -SF.

I have all of my receipts of pretty much of everything that was taken, & really don't know what my rights are in this matter for I've been to this place dozens of times without issues... Also My rifles were set to lowest power settings to conserve air.

I recently rebuild regulator of P15 and set on 130bars, now regulator is consistent but I have to fire at least 10 to 15 shots before, I filled the cylinder to 240bars. What is the problem? Is this ok to to shoot 10 to 15 shots before?

First off, I didn't bag anything. If you're looking for a victory story, this isn't it. If you're anything like me and you enjoy the outdoors, stick around and imagine being out in these rural Deep East Texas piney woods on this cool autumn night...

I walked my pups just after dusk and we encountered what I thought was a young coyote. He was in a clearing around a structure with decent outside light via high lumen halide light bulbs. All I could really see was a silhouette: furry, somewhat long legs, bushy tail, pointy ears. I am not sure if it smelled us, heard the pups, or spotted us on the side of the road, but it started moving away from us at a distance of around 75-90 yards. At first I thought it was a fox or a feral dog until my brain registered all of the features that I had just seen. So I decided to test the animal as it was leaving the scene. I gave a few lip squeaks. The animal stopped and turned its head directly towards me. I stood and watched and it turned to take off again. I lip squeaked again as it moved into the shadow of a hickory tree and an oak tree and got a similar reaction. BINGO!! It's a young looking coyote. I stood watching as long as I could, but these aging eyes couldn't keep up with the stealth canine. I didn't have a thermal device or any hunting arms. Thankfully the pups didn't spot it or start barking. When I didn't see any more movement, I began to back up and signaled the pups to turn around and follow me. We walked in another direction before returning to finish walking our route. After our walk we returned home. I grabbed my scanner and Huben K1 and checked around the property. I spotted Herby the possum feasting on the last armadillo that I killed; he has a buffet area I set up for him.

Unfortunately the pups pushed him off the carcass and went to investigate the smells. The white spot in the trees on the upper left (above the pup's nose) is Herby waiting to finish his meal.



One of the pups thought it was a good idea to rub his neck on the decaying dillo. I didn't realize what was going on until after it happened. I thought he was ducking under a vine until he turned his head as I viewed through the thermal. I called them off. Then I fed them and penned them in for the night.

Around 10:35pm I headed out with my Huben K1, Burris BTH50 thermal scanner, and ScanPro headlight looking for armadillos and coyotes. I didn't see jack besides Herby hanging out near the buffet. Earlier I said "I didn't see jack," but I forgot that I spotted this deer a ways off.



I patrolled the usual properties that I check on and nothing. I then decided to go further to the property where I saw the yote earlier (I hunt there sometimes too). As I walked I would stop to scan the area intermittently. I didn't see a deer or anything. I walked further up to get a better angle of the open space on the property and still nothing. Then out of the corner of my naked eye I spot movement. By the time I got the thermal scanner to my eye all I saw were hind quarters two hind legs, and a bushy tail going into the treeline across the road. I tried lip squeaking, but that didn't seem to stop him or draw him back out of the woods. I scanned the treeline, but could not pick up a heat signature. I moved into the shadows of an oak tree and knelt down in front of a bush to see if it might emerge into the open. After a while of hearing no movement and not seeing a heat signature I got up and walked further. I scanned the pasture and an adjacent property, but still no coyote. All of the properties that I'm mentioning I either hunt on or know the property owners. I turned around and headed back to my place. I heard two groups of yotes communcating to one another, on group to the east and the other to the west. I'd say they were within a 1 - 1.5 mile radius. I saw one of the neighbor’s dog and a cat stalking something in the drainage ditch. I spotted the cat from about 125 yards out with my scanner, but didn't know what it was. I stalked up on it to get a better look at it in order to ID it I'd say within about 60-70 yards I was able to ID the cat. After walking about a mile I got home and here's where things start to get interesting...

I snuck back into the yard so that I don't disturb the pups and start them to barking. Walking the perimeter of the yard looking off into the woods all I can see is what appears to be Heby laying down in proximity to his meal. This is boring I thought. Then I caught something crossing a clearing. Again I could only see a rump and a tail. I thought it may have been a bobcat. I never see bobcats around here. I could hear the animal crushing leaves as it walked through the woods and thought, "too heavy footed to be a cat." Then I thought maybe it was a raccoon.


After a few minutes passed I looked up in the trees and didn't seen anything, so I moved along. I walked to another area and scanned, but saw nothing. As I made my way back down the treeline, I scanned and picked up what appeared to be a white ball at the base of a tree. As I moved closer the ball started moving and its profile changed, - small-medium sized animal with a long tail and round body. I thought "coon or dillo."



It started moving so I removed my Huben from my shoulder, turned on my illuminated reticle, and switched my rifle mounted torch. At first I didn't see it moving through the brush. Then I caught a glare from the light reflecting off of the animal's eyes, but not for long. He escaped walking into the undergrowth before I could steady my reticle for a satisfactory shot.

I checked the treeline to see if it would be heading out towards my yard. I didn't see it come back out. I made my way to the other end of the property holding my rifle muzzle up towards the stars. Throughout the night I'd been hearing acorns fall. Once I heard leaves rustle in the tree, then a bunch of dry leaves got knocked down, but I couldn't find a heat signature in the tree. I heard these two groups of coyotes communicating again except the group to the northwest sounded closer. A minute or two later I put the thermal scanner on another tree a bit down the line and I see a small rodent moving about in the tree. Then I see another heat signature a bit higher up. I can't tell if these are mice, squirrels, flying squirrels or what. Suddenly it was as if I blinked and barely caught the animal above jump down on the other rodent. It appeared that they tangled briefly then separated and to my surprise, the animal that jumped down, flew off!!
I'm thinking this was an owl that missed his Veteran's Day meal. I thought, "That was entertaining." After reviewing the footage again, I don't know what I'm looking at here. I'm not sure what type of bird that is. I decided to stand there and watch the rodent move through the trees. I'm still trying to figure out what type of rodent this is. Somewhere along the line I put the thermal scanner down (let it hang on my wrist by the lanyard) and caught some movement at my 2 o'clock. There's about a ¾ moon tonight. When I turned to to look I saw that bushy tail and a head turning away. I switched on the illuminated reticle at some point, shouldered the rifle, pushed on the pressure switch to activate the rifle mounted torch, lined up my reticle on the animal as it walked away and let off four shots in succession. I'm pretty sure I didn't hit it. I didn't hear a yelp or see it jump. The pellets looked like tracers and they were on his ass!! The issue was that I didn't lead my shots. Even though I missed, that was fun because it demonstrates improvement on my part.

For the life of me I hardly ever hear coyotes as they move around. They just seem to show up. Semi-auto is the way to go unless you're baiting them or calling them in with a decoy. I'd want a semi-auto calling them in. I've called them with out a semi and it sucks when multiple yotes come in and you're armed with a repeater that has to be cocked after each shot. Of the three yote sightings tonight I didn't capture any footage. Those dogs are too damn fast. I haven't coyote hunted in a while. I wouldn't count this as a hunt. I just knew there was one in the area because I happened upon one earlier. I heard others and really don't know how many were in the vicinity. Three sightings with no call or bait within a few hours is insane based upon my previous experiences. After reviewing more footage I realized that I caught what appears to have been a yote close to my property a few nights ago. I wonder if this is the same one I shot at early this morning.

I may upload some video clips of some of tonight's events tomorrow or something.

Serious rat infestation: Need to kill hundreds of big rats. Must be QUIET.

Very little room, no rifle will fit. From 4 inches to 4 feet max room, mostly 1 foot.

Need to be able to fire many times in quick succession.

Air gun? Pellets? Tranquilizer gun?

I know zero about guns so baby talk explain this please. Tell me exactly what I need to buy, what kind of ammo, what to make it QUIET.

Money is not a factor, will spend whatever it takes to get a weapon / tool / devise to kill these rats.

Fiberglass/plastic fence panels right behind rats so don't want to destroy fence.

Have trap I can put rats into and drown immediately, and metal gloves to pick them up, in case they aren't dead yet.

Also willing to pay well for a good "shooter" to come kill the rats. Need help!

Hello all, new member here , long time lurker, finally decided to join, I have been into break barrel air rifles off and on for over twenty years, just really getting back after a couple of years away.

And dang!!! What a whirlwind, of thoughts and questions... It really has me rethinking a lot of my airgun hobby ideas. Just wow. I've been seriously considering (as of per video, WAS) buying a rifle platform that is a proven competitor. But after seeing the gear these folks run; I'm basically back to the drawing board. Some of these guys are rocking gear and accessories I've never even seen! Then there's all the customizations... Cusom parts, and paintjobs, that i didn't even know were on offer by anyone. Where do these guys get their gear? It's truly impressive.
In fact... it's so impressive that it's, we'll I'm not sure intimidating is the right word... Though it is intimidating to a degree. But moreover it almost lends a sense of "bar to entry". If that makes sense. I was able to ID some parts, and accessories, and did a little virtual shopping and dayum! That's a financially steep entrance fee. Makes me wonder, are these guys self funded? As in working 9-5s and still buying all this gear, or is a lot of it provided by sponsors? I saw some really cool stuff. And that was just what I could see. God only knows what kind of custom internals were also in action in that video. Just wow!!!
If you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth a watch. It puts a lot of things into perspective. Just seeing these top names brand guns side by side for size comparison, for one thing. I had know idea just how huge the Skout was till I saw it next to an FX M3. Wow. It's huge. Not to mention seeing them in use, in various shooting events. Really has me starting over as to what I might truly want to drop my money on. Or if at all? Like I said, it really shows how expensive the bar to entry is, if one is thinking about competing.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share some of my musings, and takeaways from my viewing of the RMAC competition, as a "regular" air gunner...

Just bought a shooters bag to have at my cabin. The one I have here at the house has Black beans in it. It rains a lot up there, (about 120" per year) not counting the snow. Looking for suggestions to fill out so the moisture does not explode it. Thank you in advance.

Hello folks. Does anyone out there have any drawings/pictures of the Pantera trigger assembly, sear, hammer, etc., showing how they engage each other when the gun is cocked and when it's not cocked? What I'm asking for a ''cut away'' view of the parts in the gun showing how they engage each other. I know what the 1st and 2nd stage screws do. Seeing how the parts work together makes it a lot faster and easier to fine tune the trigger when one can actually picture in one's mind what's being done when one turns the adjusting screws. Thanks.

This thread is a dedicated guide to discussions, instructional videos/threads, diagrams, and photos of the Edgun R5m platform. This is a robust regulated bullpup that was designed for hunting. It has been refined through various iterations (R3, R3M, R5, etc) resulting in a multi-shot repeater bullpup with forward-ambidextrous cocking and a tube reservoir. They are chambered in .177, .22, and .25 calibers. There were some limited edition single-shot .30 caliber R5s made, but I don't know a lot about them and I'm unsure if I will link those into this thread or not because they have a rear cocking bolt and thus different internals within the bolt/breech block. They come in varying lengths: compact (Leyla 2.0), standard, long, and super long. I'm unsure if they are still being produced as of November 11, 2024, but can be found in stock on Edgun Shop (Spain) webpage. Mostly you can find them on the used market, although they do not show up regularly.
