FX  FX M3 C1 ''TOP HAT'' issues

After a few hours use my M3 .22 cal developed wild velocity inconsistency and after hours of searching forums for advice found the problem to be what I believe to be referred to as the C-1 Top Hat, it was freely turning on the valve rod which it's NOT supposed to do being set from the factory. This changes the proportional value between the valve spring adjustment and hammer spring resulting in severe tune inconsistency. HAS ANYONE had to deal with this problem, is it common on the Impact design? Took multiple attempts using calipers and red loctite to get it reliably set at 6mm.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Wts weihrauch hw 35e 22 cal.

Up for sale I have a hw35e I received and in shipping the stock got cracked . I told the owner I will try selling it for him with the cracked stock . I have no control over price so he wants $270 plus shipping . I will post pics tonight and if no interest I will just mail it back to original owner Monday. My hopes are that someone has the know how to repair stock or has a replacement stock. I would take a trade for a nice scope also.

JSB 33.96 accuracy in .22 caliber

I've been shooting squirrels a lot here lately. I have a BRK Sahara XR .22 and it shoots a lot of different pellets really well, but has a preference for AEA 18.3s and JTS 18.1s. Getting around 840 fps. The problem is the pass through on squirrels. It shoots 25.39 and 28.55s pretty well, but decided to experiment with the 33.96s just to see. All testing is at 30 yards.

The groups on the far left and bottom right corners are the 33.96s. The ones on the kings face are the JSB 20gr lights. I'm curious if there's anything I could do besides messing with the tune to tighten the 34 gr up. Weight sort, clean barrel, hold differently? Velocity is what I expected with these and they should dump a lot of energy. I just don't want to tweak the tune just for these pellets to perform when it shoots well with so many other pellets.

FX Barrel Liner Indexing

The black mark on the barrel liner end, does anyone know at what orientation on a clock face it should be set from the factory when reassembling the liner? I've indexed all my barrels and found there is certainly something substantial to the way its set and tensioned by the barrel nut. My question is each barrel had a black index mark but in a different position.

N/A  Uragan or Veteran

Considering next gun which of course I don’t need. Even today another is arriving, a kratos refurb from Airgun Revision. Still sorting out the zelos, revere, raw 1000, akela ( Airguns revision) , and Reximex pistol.

However the praise on this forum for the Taipan just MAKES me want one. But the very similar Uragan 2 ( would wait for 3) to me is much better looking and that does matter to me. The Uragan is also hundreds $ more. Both would be with 700 mm barrels.

I also realize somebody may post thoughts on a totally different gun or may see a review on u tube and turn my head in that direction. That wouldn’t be a bad thing either. I’ll admit it I want to desire these guns while I’m into this hobby.
thanks,
Mike

N/A  PRODUCT FIND: NEW MAGAZINE

I recently purchased a new magazine for my Umarex Bullshark. The stock mags are ok and the Carm one a step better but this new one is better yet. BIG AIR PRECISION is the name of the company where I purchased them. They have a special still going buy 3 get one free. I bought three for my Bullshark and one for my Origin/Avenger. All the mags hold twelve pellets instead of 9 or 10. Easy to load and the Origin/Avenger one snaps into place. I sure think these are the best mags out there for my two guns. He makes them for other models also.

Accessories  WTS REG BUTTER! Finally, a lube specifically designed for airgun & paintball regulators!

Hey Guys! I have officially launched my first ever product - Reg Butter! 🧈

This is the stuff I've been using for like 20 years in both airgunning and tournament paintball to frequently land on the podium in both sports! This is my own blend, that I make by myself, by hand. It works so well for myself and my little squad of misfits that I've decided to offer it to the public. We all swear by this stuff! $33 per tin (via PayPal F&F, shipped in the USA) and one tin will last you an eternity.

You can also snag it at HPP: https://myhighpressureair.com/air-shootist-reg-butter-1oz-tin/?aff=2

Here's my official sales pitch / product description:

Have you ever done maintenance to your regulator, but wondered if you were really using the right lube? Everyone has! Because up until now there has never been a product specifically designed to lubricate PCP airgun and paintball regulator pistons for competition-grade performance!

Enter Air Shootist’s Reg Butter! Designed by competitors – for competitors!

Specifically formulated for lubrication of pneumatic regulator pistons, Reg Butter is made from a proprietary blend of 100% food-grade silicone products to ensure safety under high pressure while providing the most buttery slick performance-enhancing experience you could ever expect to achieve from your regulator! Well-proven in competition, and one tin will last the average guy a lifetime!

Benefits:

  • Faster recharge rates
  • Better cold weather performance
  • Lengthened maintenance intervals
  • Enhanced longevity of o-ring lifespans
  • Can be used not only for regulators but for all static & dynamic seals on paintball guns and airguns
  • Non-toxic, noncombustible blend ensures all around safety even at high pressure
Pick up a tin today and rev up the performance of that regulator!

Usage directions:

  • De-gas your gun and ensure there is no residual pressure remaining before disassembly!
  • Disassemble your regulator, carefully clean off existing grease / oil.
  • Give the Reg Butter a good stir with a toothpick or allen key in case of any settling.
  • Take a dab of Reg Butter between your fingers and apply a modest layer onto your regulator piston head, taking special care to work a little bit of it in the recesses between any o-rings and the piston material. You can also butter up the piston shaft and even the Belleville washers or spring contact points.
  • Reassemble your gun, gas it up, and watch your level of performance improve!

Reset rate from the factory on a Panthera is typically 4-7 seconds. After I Reg Buttered my Panthera I went from about 5 seconds to TWO!

This video shows how to use it on an FX Regulator, but translates to all regulators:

High end airgun recommendation

I currently have a UX Notos and it’s been amazing, did a bottle mod and improved the shot count to 150 and power as well just a bit, but I’m looking to upgrade in the near future
So I’m wondering if any of these is a good upgrade as well (my main purpose is pigeon hunting and pesting of other birds and also squirrels and other such pests)

RTI  RTI Prophet 1 Adjustable Reg Issue

I have one of the RTI Adjustable regulators. It has a new regulator rebuild kit from AirgunHeaven.

It holds air great, BUT..

There doesn't seem to be any adjustability to it. It reads the bottle pressure. Tried the 1/4 turn counter clockwise..dry fire a few times, but no matter how far I adjust counter clockwise the regulator pressure just registers what's in the bottle.

Any Ideas where to start trouble shooting?

Did a mod to my GX CS4

My CS 4 has got almost 22 hrs. on it now and I had noticed that it seemed to be pumping slower lately. I did the thing of taking out the check valve assembly and letting it run and cleaning out the port with q-tips as some gunk would accumulate and that didn't seem to help any. I just bought a new CS 2, thinking that the 4 was getting ready to die and I didn't want to be left with no air source. I was tinkering in my shop today and I decided to cut the small battery clips off the power wires and direct connect them to the inverter as I have never been a fan of those small weak clamps. After doing it, I did a dead head test, and I could instantly hear a difference in the way the compressor was running, and it shaved off about 25 seconds on the test. I did a few more tests with the same results. I just ordered some 50 amp Anderson plugs and I'm going to get rid of the clamps on both compressors and I'm going to install an Anderson plug hook up on my truck also.
Before doing the direct connection, I did clean the terminals and the clamps just to make sure they were getting the best possible connection. If anyone has noticed their compressor has gotten slower, you might want to try this......I'm not saying it will make a difference in everyone's compressor, but it did on mine....:)

What's in your hunting bag?

So my bag very through out my hunting season. When I'm not bow hunting. My trophy line bag turns into my everything bag. Currently my go-to's are a nice cup of tea or coffee in my thermos. I Always keep flushable wipes or dude wipes. Of course need a rangefinder, binoculars and face mask. I typically don't wear gloves until its extremely cold out. A knife, secondary drink and jerky and always keep a Walmart bag for the game after there dispatched. Shooting sticks there is hunt to hunt because I have so many trees around me to prop them.
So for you well seasoned Hunters and pest control guy's what's some good tips or advice for new hunter's and for the guys that have been doing it awhile.
Be blessed and hopefully there's plenty of community engagement on this topic.

FX  Lots of compact gun talk lately

Top is M4 700mm no Mod
Middle is M4 600mm with mod
Bottom is a pieced together Kral parts gun with mod.

We all know what the FX does but surprisingly that .25 cal 14" barrel 180cc 3000psi tube little Kral does 20 shots a fill at 38fpe with an ES of 22fps using 25.4JSB or 10 shots at just under 50fpe with the 25.4JSB and an ES of 15fps and no regulator.

The Kral is my go to Squirrel gun for sure.

HW/Weihrauch  HW55T: Did I pay too much?

Seller sent it to Scott Blair:Disassembled action, polished internals, parts sent to Glenrock and reblued, Installed Maccari spring tune kit )spring,top-hat, and spacer), Vortek piston seal adapter with seal , and JM lubes, Stock refinished. Chronograph tested at 620 fps with JSB 7.3 pellets. As a result it looks new and gorgeous. I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago and shot it a handful of times. I paid $950 for it.

Airforce  Airforce knockoff?

Sure looks like a Talon except there is a safety switch above the trigger.
