Results  Invicta FTC (Minor Hill, TN) Sept 13, 2025 Match Results

Posted for David Slade:

We had absolutely wonderful weather, and five seasoned shooters came out to have fun. A little breeze did catch one or two of us out on the longer shots.... Robert Ray came over from near Memphis, but Bill still won the distance most traveled!

Brad had designed and 3D printed a new muzzle brake, and very kindly gave me some to try, I fitted one, and to be honest didn't re-zero my rifle, laziness on my part, but regardless, my rifle shot VERY well, many thanks Brad!!!!!

Danny was shooting well, as usual, unfortunately he had a problem with with his gun caddy, it decided to go for a walk by itself, and the subsequent crash caused his rifle to fall and hit the ground, something I dread, we all felt bad for him, as it then shot 2 inches off at 20 yards. He finished the course using Roberts gun, still a very good score. The good news is, after getting it home and looking it over it appears everything will be fine.

We have four matches left for the season, if you don't make it out, its literally your loss!!

God Bless

Air Venturi  Avenge-X Synthetic stock C88 plenum mod

For those that are curious about the C88 plenum and the synthetic stock Avenge-x.
Managed to mount it on mine . Had to do a bit of cutting, used a dremel with an oversized cutoff disk. Took my time, about an hour, and it turned out well cosmetically. Kit comes with 4 round shims to adjust the adapter standoff relevant to its threads so it clocked correctly for the plenum. Only needed 3 for that and used the remaining 0.01" shim on the regulator gauge so it's clocked correctly.

Western Airguns  Magazine/slugs/pellets oh my

I have a sidewinder compact in .30 cal. So far I've found out the Predator polymags are too long had to nip the tips off to use them. And the FX hybrid slugs fit in the magazine little too snug or is it just right? Are these normal things people gotta watch out for any semi auto, or is it just the way it rolls for these sidewinder mags?

Results  PSA FT Results - Sept 14, 2025 (AAFTA and Silhouette)

This month the Green course was along the ATV road between the clubhouse and the competition range with lanes shooting through tunnels in the woods, and a few lanes in the open field, and a standing lane in the ravine. The Red course was in the ravine with shots running along and across the drainage ditch. The Blue course was on the range. We had a few new shooters this month; we welcome them to Palmyra Sportsmen's Assoc and to the Field Target game.

The AAFTA three course average difficulty was 28.9 (Moderate) and the individual course sections had the following average difficulties (not including environmental factors):
  • Blue - 28.8 (moderate)
  • Green - 28.9 (moderate)
  • Red - 29.0 (moderate)
Scores - Each course is a possible 20, and the 3 course total is of a possible 60. Ties are not broken.

A 20 shot pistol course was integrated across the course with select targets identified for pistol. The pistol course was a 29.2 difficulty.
One person shot pistol.
-Brian Wagner scored a 12 (out of 20).

Silhouette scores (out of possible 20).

FX  FX Angled Manometer Bracket Issue/Problem

I installed the FX angled manometer bracket on my M3, along with a Sekhmet Gen-2 255Pro 300 bar Sekhmet High Pressure Digital Gauge. At first everything was fine and I could see the 2nd regulator pressure drop and refill after every shot on the Sekhmet digital gauge. However, after awhile the gauge just started showing a "frozen" 2nd regulator set pressure, there was no drop after a shot.

I installed a different analog gauge in the angle manometer bracket, and the same thing occurred, no pressure drop after a shot.

Reading through another thread there was a mention of FX sometimes installing a chunk of o-ring under the grub screw (to stop leaks) that is removed to install the angled manometer bracket.

So I degassed the M3 and removed the bracket and left the hole open. I slowly screwed back in the bottle with my thumb partially covering the open hole (I'd recommend using a rag or something instead of your thumb). At first there was a slow escape of air at that hole and then something came flying out and hit my thumb. I was unable to locate what actually came out of that hole, but after reassembly the 2nd reg gauge installed in the angled manometer bracket started working perfectly.

Hope this helps others that may be experiencing strange readings on gauges installed in the FX angled manometer bracket.

Huben  Huben gk1 degassing advise

So there a few opinions on the best way to degass the gk1, one of which is the loosening of the fill probe valve at the base of the reservoir, the other is the degass torx screw at the top of the action, and the Gregor way of removing the back plate the spring and plastic washer and actually shooting the gun with a towel behind the receiver to catch the piston and closing valve.
my concern is how safe is the latter? I’ve done it a few times and just recently noticed a nick on the front edge of the closing valve, I think it’s from the valve violently hitting the sear as it exits, anyone tried this method? Should not be doing this? According to the tube videos including the one by Gregor it is the best way to degass!
I bought a new valve and getting ready to replace it just wondering if I should be using a different method of degassing the gun. I do shoot it down to 100 bars before using this method, but the cylinder and valve shooting out of the gun backwards seems a bit violent.
the first recommendation might damage the o-ring and I only have one backup.
the second way is not recommended by anyone as it is risking irreperable damage to the fragile thread and tiny torx bolt.

$89 FX Maverick part from Spain(Europe Airguns) to NY $140 Tariff

I'm not mad at having to pay a tariff, but I thought it would be 20%-30% at most 50%. Over a 100% tariff caught me by surprise. All I can find for the tariff rate from Spain is 25%. UPS doesn't break the tariff/upcharge down except that they had a $14 brokerage fee and the rest was a government charge. I'm hoping to see a breakdown when I receive the package and maybe it was a mistake, if not....welp, I guess this is just a heads up to everyone else.

Is anyone familiar with verifying the correct price to be charged for a tariff from a country?

PCP Rifle  NLA Taipan Vet 2 Standard

GUN MAY HAVE SLOW LEAK, WILL RENEW AD ONCE FIGURED OUT SO ALL POTENTIAL TRADES ON HOLD TILL I FILL GUN AGAIN AND BE SURE.

Bought this from Tony in Sept 2024 and have shot 3 tins of pellets thru it. I keep flip flopping on if I want to sell this or not, its a awesome gun very accurate, great trigger and balance but its my last bull pup and I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it prefer traditional stocked guns.
Has the Donny FL external hammer spring adjuster and a set of sling swivels I installed that look good not botched up. I also adjusted trigger as it was not great when received. This is the only pic I have at the moment but can provide more if needed. Gun gets around 74 shots per fill shooting 18 gr FX around 912-920 fps. Asking 1,000 pl act shipping or best offer.
Prefer to sell but might trade for regulated Daystate Huntsman Revere(changed just had Huntsman) in .22. Any questions feel free to ask.
Might also trade for a FX MK2 Crown .25 w/500mm barrel or shorter.

Dont know why picture looks like crap but will get better pics if any interest.
