What if I told you you can get 60 FPE, 30 shots and 3/4" 100 yard group for $800

"Kdog"Certainly is impressive,,,half the money compared to similar high dollar guns. For anyone wanting a .25 and has a limited budget this rifle certainly is a contender.
Not just for someone with limited budget. If you look at reviews on AEAC Steve has reviewed everything from a RAW, Crown, and other high end PCPs and he's never shot a smaller group at 100 yards than what the Kral shot. Granted, it was in an indoor range but it's still a great group.

"JimNM"Hmmmm, what do you suppose the group would look like if it was shot with bullet / slug rather than diabolo pellets??
I'm not sure. Most small bore air rifles have choked barrels and this seem to affect the way slugs perform in them. Me personally, I would not shoot slugs in a 25 cal unless it was a Sumatra or an Air Force gun. These seem to be the only guns with enough power without a ton of modifications to make it work. I'm not sure how slugs will do at long ranges. The Nilson (sp) slugs are made for air rifles and might do the trick, but I have not personally tried them. I contacted the maker and asked if he had a slug that worked well in a Sumatra and he didn't have one at the time. Sumatra barrels are not choked and they are larger than most air rifle barrels. If I needed something for large hogs or body shots on medium sized predators I would either do head shots or move up in calibers.

Yeah agree with this, need some serious uumph to push slugs with the added weight AND added friction in the barrel people seem to gloss over. That said I wish we could get these beauties in Canada the Kral. And yeah back to back 3/4 inch groups are no fluke, laser beam type stuff there.

I wonder if JSB will make a King heavier, seems like they could add some material in the "waist" and get them to 38-39 grains keep the shape, add some BC and still keep the contact points in the barrel at the head and skirt of the pellet for lower resistance.

Hmmmm, ok. Thanks for the thoughts. These two threads show good promise for the .22 slugs and that is what spurred my question.

http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/nielsen-specialty-ammo-review-22-cal-23-grain-hollow-point/ . This guy's is at about 28 FFP.

http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/nsa-slugs-triple-your-bc-at-what-cost/  This thread shows some decent groups. I may just have to try these on my Kral when it comes home.

If any of y'all get some real life results with the slugs, please post up about it.

I know Nick Nielson makes swaged slugs specifically for air rifles. But he said he didn't have any for a Sumatra because he would have to have a special die made to accommodate the larger barrel. So I didn't pursue it. IMO pellets will serve just fine for small critters that most people use air guns to hunt. The higher BC would allow for longer shots but for the most part pellets are lethal enough. Now if I needed a 25 cal for larger critters I would want to use a PCP with enough power to get the job done on larger critters, hence, the use of my Sumatra. Slugs will allow people to have fewer guns to hunt a larger variety of critters though. But I was basing my opinion on my needs. Since I haven't hunted in a long time and have a 30 cal Hercules that gets over 100 FPE with pellets I didn't need a slug shooter.

Troy should be telling you not to expect 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards outdoors. Doing this outdoors in completely different than indoors.
Though he has greatly improved the Kral.........and I mean GREATLY.
This is not a realistic expectation. And one I think may come back to haunt him by those with unrealistic expectations.
Along with those lacking the skill set. I defy anyone, any tuner or builder/manufacturer to bring me a " Pellet gun" that will do 3/4 inch or less at 100 yards, consistently.
That said, Troy up there has GREATLY improved the Kral name, through his skill set, knowledge, hard work and diligence.
He has managed to turn a sub par gun into an exceptional shooter at what I consider a reasonable price. I would not be afraid to purchase his work as I believe it would be money well spent.

I stated earlier I would have been happy with 1-1/2" groups at 100 yards indoors. I have never said to expect 3/4" groups outdoors or expect it indoors. I just simply showed what this specific gun was capable of.
