Ordered A Umarex Gauntlet Last Night

I am very close. The .25 should be out shortly after the .22 and .177 drop for shipping. I would hope on the .25 in a heartbeat if I could source those pellets locally. When I get a gauntlet, it will be a .22.

266 shipped is a rocking good price. I have a few gotta do's on the list before i get one.

I hate to tell you this, but I spoke to a Umarex tech rep yesterday afternoon, about the Gauntlet and it's availability. He told me that the earliest that Gauntlets will be here is middle to late November! I have had a .177 cal. on order since March 29th! I ordered another one, a .22 cal., early summer. I really don't think I'll see either one much before next year!

Oh well, I was hoping to get my preorder in for Christmas. Maybe I'll get it in by my birthday (July 2018).

That is no fun....ordered a .22 about 4 weeks ago from PA and have been watching the in stock dates...still Oct 5th. When do they normally change in stock dates for those of you that have been waiting? Bummer!

I would rather Umarex get it all worked out and ship a great product, even if it means some delay. There is too often a rush to hit a release date that then compromises product quality.

Easy for me to say, my dollars are still in my wallet....

Thats a good question, wondering the same. You think they would post something if it was going to be longer then it already is. They sure are having allot of you tube people shoot and hunt with it but none of them mention a release date.

Yea, from what I understand those are all pre production models. About a month ago, Joe Brancato had activity in the comments on a few of his YT vids, stating he would have them in September. Radio silence since then....

You can live and die with changing release dates if you want to, but I am much more inclined to believe Umarex before I believe any other seller, as Umarex is the manufacturer, and it is Umarex who tells everybody else when that date will be! This is an excerpt from a response from Umarex that I received two days ago:

My question to Umarex: What's taking so long to get the Gauntlet into the hands of your customers? I ordered one (.177 cal.) last March, through Sportsman'sGuide, and it hasn't arrived yet! I ordered a second one (.22 cal.) since then, also through Sportsman'sGuide, and neither one has arrived yet! Now, I am being told that the best estimate of my gun being shipped to me is December 1st! This is outrageous?
Their reply:

Hello Mr. _____,First off I do apologize for the delay in bringing this gun to market. Rather than bring a product to market that didn’t exactly fit our highest expectations then we elected to make certain that all necessary tweaks were completed prior to full production. That said, we should see guns at the retail level by mid-November. Hopefully it will be sooner. We certainly appreciate your interest in the Gauntlet and are confident that it will be a great performer.Best regards,Glenn

Absolutely, I would believe Umarex before a retailer....wasnt saying that. Check out this thread in the Manufacturers Direct. http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/umarex-fail/ Like you, I just would like to get the gun or at least a real status, as there have been ruminations of a small order coming in.
