Is the Benjamin Marauder an Affordable, Reliable, Accurate Semi-Auto PCP???

Yes , interesting gun , good price point , and seemingly fairly reliable, as about a reliable semi auto i have seen.. I have actually had this gun in a cart more than a few times....

But... what good is a semi auto that actually functions without the ability to purchase spare magazines ? ( Zero in stock Anywhere )

Come on Crosman / Benjamin ,1 x 10 shot mag with this gun , might as well be a single shot !!

While i'm chirping a bit here might well address the " out of stock " status that has been on the Crosman website , oh since the announcement of the gun..

Hey i get it let the dealers get 1st shot , or maybe it might be the AGN discount code affecting the stock status.. hmmm

Just a wee bit strange dealers have the gun but the distributor / factory / warehouse, whatever they are calling it never has had the gun in stock....

We all know Crosman is watching every post about this gun, hopefully the dude in charge of oversight will chime in here with an " Honest " explanation...

In Closing , i do Not want to come across as negative in my post's , but my god it is Very hard Not to be with manufactures prematurely putting out these " New " guns without the supporting spare parts and accessories .....

Just to clarify above, they have been in stock on Crosman website. I know a few who bought one directly from Crosman and I had one in the cart twice. I however decided to not go with one. Just wanted to clear that up. Also I heard Crosman has the mags you just need to contact them directly.

Okay i stand corrected, i guess there must be some secret society that a mere mortal has no access to , say maybe every 3rd Tuesday , bi-monthly they put 5 back in stock , but wait then i must contact them direct as well to purchase extra mags... shaking my head as i type this.. Lol

Nothing personal DB it just makes no sense to me, they either have the inventory or they don't , i know in my shop that's the way it works....

Peace amigo ...

No worries on my part wasn't trying to call you out or anything just wanted to state facts. Not saying I agree with what there doing but was clarifying that they did have them on there website and order the mags through them direct. From what I heard they are filling orders from distributers first before selling direct and said they can't keep up with production for them. That was in steve's video on it the other day.

Hello all - Decided to share my experience with my new Benji Marauder.

I purchased the .22 with the Lothar Walther Barrel.

The majority of people that are new to PCP were just like me. Here's all the standard questions that I couldn't find an answer to:

  1. Is a handpump a bad idea?

  2. Is a handpump a good idea?

  3. How many pumps are we talking about here?

  4. How exhausting is it really?

  5. Is it worth the money for an electric pump or bottle?

    [/LIST=1]

You can see where this is going...

    Here's my data:

Gun at 0 psi. Took literally forever to fill the gun. The majority of that is 100's of low pressure pumps to just get the gun up to 1500psi. Probably 300 pumps. I must have started and stopped 6 times. But, then you finally feel the resistance and you know you're getting somewhere. Add another 200 pumps and you're at the max of 3000 psi. Shoot 10 shots with 14gr pellets and the gun is at 2750psi. From there, hook up the gun and pump 29 times and you're back to 3000psi. Took about 40 seconds.

I shot groups at 3000 psi, 2500psi and 2000psi. The groups are tightest at 3k and spread at 2k. I'm happy with my 4 Uncles $59 pump from Amazon. I won't ever buy electric unless I lose the ability to physically press the pump. Yes, it's tough.. but not impossible.

Mine wasn't. Ended up sending it back because it was impossible to zero the scope due to the rifle never shooting in the same place from one shot to the next. Held steady in a sled, it still shot what looked like a shotgun pattern more than nine inches across at 30 yards. I'm sure that something was just put together wrong in it, but we shouldn't have to "fix" a rifle right out of the box. Crossman Engineer had the serial number and was supposed to look into it, but I have not heard anything about it since.

This is two mags at 30 yards with the rifle clamped in a sled.

No sir, i am Painfully aware of the Pandemic, as a survivor of Covid with Pneumonia , I spent a little over month tied to an oxygenator 24/7 .. i can assure you i Do know what its all about...

Now with that said i managed to keep my business open, running parts , and scrounging material to do so, was it tougher to find material , yes, impossible No..

Call me negative all you want but i am damn sick and tired of the Pandemic " excuse " , if you work at it you can manage to still manufacture parts, as a matter of fact my machine shop sales increased over 70% during this " pandemic "

in closing even while i was down with Covid my guys and my wife stepped up to keep the parts going out the door... Again if there is a will there is a way

Sorry to any of you they may think my comments are " harsh " , i am not the guy to sugar coat my opinions for the sake of being PC, i earned my attitude...

Peace Guys !

Last I heard there was a huge back up off the west coast for ships with tons of goods ordered. Not sure if it's a strike or the wuflu that backed it up. I'm sure there are tons of things just sitting in the Pacific awaiting their turn to be offloaded.

And once it's offloaded then there is the truck driver shortage and rail car shortage to cope with. It looks like things will be slow for a while. Even food for my cat is in short supply. I may have to start buying him lunch meat if this gets worse.

And I'm still waiting on my Akela that I ordered February 8th and was shipped a Kratos in error. Sent it back but the Akela went out of stock before another could be sent.

Stephanie was trying to get me one from the latest shipment and have it sent out last week but apparently it didn't happen. Just sent an email asking her if she's getting any closer with my order.
