I use the Caldwell shooting bags and the Caldwell dead shot tripod. Both work really well.

    Wow nice build markT!

i was thinking of the car jack and that would work pretty good if done correctly but its just another added part to carry around.
i like steppenwulf s idea. We have a mini jack at work and its pretty cool.
I do like the sand bags but in some of the reviews people said they fall apart and.not stiched together well.

I mainly hunt, so I dial in with an Atlas bipod and rear sand bag, it is what I normally use when I’m in the field. The gun harmonics match how I intend to use the gun.  I don’t carry a vice or benchresr gear in the field, so I do not use it when dialing in. On a benchrest gun, I would use benchrest  equipment that I intend on using while shooting benchrest.

at home i use caldwell bags on the bench.

in the field i look for a 6′ to 6 1/2′ stick and use it like outdoorman.  it’s much faster than using regular shooting sticks.
