What springer did you shoot today?

Temp is 95, weather report on TV says heat index in our town is 100, a few degrees above that in surrounding areas. All I have been doing is going out and turning some old palm rests I hav been refinishing with tung oil, so all the surface areas will get some UV light exposure and harden faster.

Been dealing with sick Pyrenees all weekend so not much chance to shoot. He’s better and as of this morning the 24 hour vet’s utilities are paid for the next 6 months LOL so we braved the 95+ heat. Kimmie 2 Guns’ HW50 .22, my HW95 .22, and HW97k long barrel .177. Had switched Kim to FTT in her 50 because power and spread numbers were better but she was struggling. Back to JSB Jumbo RS and she shot lights out so we’ll stick with that because I know what’s good for me ha ha. The 50 and 30 are her favorites. I struggled at first with my 95, probably the most hold sensitive of my HW. Was good once I remembered the sweet spot. The 97k long I got BNIB from Lewis a few years back, thank you sir. When I first shot it I showed him the chrono numbers and he commented those would be good for a PCP gun. Accuracy matches. I rarely use the word laser but I will with this, the big beast shoots. About 22 yards just sitting in a camp chair and it centered up everything. Started shooting the lips of cans to make them fly around. Great way to de-stress.

I've got a brand new walnut HW30 in .20, scoped and ready to go. But it's 93 degrees with oppressive humidity. I'll try it in September, maybe October. Plus 11 other springers...I'm relegated to shooting pistols in my air-conditioned garage. Outdoor shooting is a seasonal sport in South Florida.

Did you ever score a beauty…
Small world, wouldn’t want to paint it.
OMG. Just got off the horn with my son. He said he would buy me a gun for my birthday. I said thanks, but I’m good. Wasn’t off the phone 10 min. and I’m looking at AoA at a HW30 .20 Walnut. So tempting. See what happens. And you flash that at me. And It’s in stock.
I didn’t realize the heat was that bad for so long in Florida.
When I lived in the city I had air. When I built here no air, few hot days, but tolerable. I’m on the water which helps.
Today I shot 5 different HW30’s. Gorgeous day 78 with a wind. Nice gun.
