When we got home, Mom asked him about the movie. He said,
"It was ok until the rape scene."
"Oh, girls get treated so badly these days!"
"There were no women involved." He growled.
I skedaddled!
The pretty parts were. The rest was the Chattooga. (not Chattanooga...I'm from that area...and got it wrong).Deliverance was filmed in the Tallulah Gorge, on the Tallulah river near, Tallulah Falls. Georgia.
I did not know that. The gorge is quite beautiful. My wife is from Macon and we have been up there few times, when her parents were alive, We always liked to visit then go up into the N Georgia mountains, usually staying at Unicoi State park, then driving around and exploring. I know that is one hella of walk from the upper park level down to the river in Tallulah gorge, over 1000 steps I think. The pretty parts were. The rest was the Chattooga. I will probably be doing some of that, as this forum is some of my early morning entertainment.I'm just going to piss&moan about it .
That's the appropriate thing to do when a situation is out of your control
